Morning.

Just enjoying my coffee before I finish getting ready for the moving quote. It’s supposed to rain overnight Friday/Saturday, so since the Sat game is most likely going to be cancelled, we’re going to meet Mh in Memphis for the weekend. I’m planning to go to ikea and hopefully take the boys to the zoo. So I have to pack our bags today so we can leave when M gets home from school.

B is doing the peanut challenge on Monday, which means I have to stop giving him his 2 X daily allergy medicine today. My allergy app (which grades the allergens he's allergic to on a scale of 1-12 shows a score of 11 -11.5 the next 3 days. I am nervous that he is going to be so miserable and swollen and awful.

Anyone have any good, non antihistamine remedies for seasonal allergies to get me through the next 3 days?

Yesterday I was in meetings all days except 20 minutes. Today I get 1 30 minute break. But we are 8 days away from opening again.

I'm at the office. Highlights of my morning include M telling me my butt was squishy when she came in to my room while I was naked and that she really hopes I can save enough money to get that eye bag surgery soon because I really need it.

She didn't even think there was anything wrong with what she said.  Kids, man.  I appreciate her honesty but sometimes it's okay to keep things to yourself.

jewels Can he use a nasal spray like Flonase? it says corticosteroid and not an antihistamine. That may help just for the time being- it also says it helps with allergy symptoms. It’s over the counter. I buy the Costco brand for M and Mh.

If not maybe just saline nasal spray or a nasal rinse to help and if he has a lot of outdoor allergies, maybe keep him inside for the most part. Do you have a air purifier? I would keep it in his room while he sleeps to keep the air allergens down. And don’t keep open the windows/doors for the next few days. Trying to think of anything that can help because it does sound miserable.

That's a good point.  I do have some Flonase that I use when his allergies get really bad.  Man he hates that.  I will try it tonight lol.

That's a good point.  I do have some Flonase that I use when his allergies get really bad.  Man he hates that.  I will try it tonight lol.  

M2 doesn’t like it either, but I’ve started to give it to him too recently.

So our closing was scheduled for Memorial Day. I realized it about a week after we accepted. Since we were trying to schedule the move, I talked to my realtor to find out if it can even be done on a holiday and of course it can’t. It will probably have to be done end of the week before that date, which is less than ideal but whatever- we have to get it done. My timeline just got shorter by almost a week. And all I want to do today is sit on my ass. 😩 Too much happening and being “on” lately.

We still have to get someone out to get the repairs done, but that probably won’t happen until next week.

I usually try and be positive about my body in front of the kids, ‘’yes mommy has a bigger belly that’s because all three of you were in there and now mommy has to store some energy to feed baby girl, isn’t it amazing what bodies can do blablabla’. But after the kids told me about ten times yesterday I had enough and told them I did not like it anymore and to stop it!

I fought Mallory all morning but finally got my payroll done. Just got back from making deposits and she's asleep. Going to invoice at lightning speed until she wakes up. I'm so over being behind but catching up is killing me. And I'll just be behind again next week after surgery. Blah.

Hey guys, sorry I haven’t been here in a couple days. I have been running errands and getting stuff done. Yesterday everyone was whiny and crabby and by the time DH got home I was done with everyone. I made S’s cat box car that she needed to bring to preschool today, yesterday. DH was supposed to help her with it so I was less than pleased about that. I only burned myself with hot glue once. This morning I woke up to my first pp period, so that’s fun. I can’t remember if I mentioned, but we are trying to refinance our house so this morning the appraisers came out. Hopefully we will find out if we are approved and whatnot by the end of next week. This afternoon we have Kindergarten open house for S and then I have to go to work.

trtlcrzy I’m sorry about the period, but color me jealous, I got mine 8weeks pp while nursing on demand 12 a day. My midwife said ‘good for you, everything is working again!’ Well, gee thanks 🤦🏼‍♀️.

Since it's slow I'm going to do a shameless sales pitch. One of my military psychologist buddies from back in the day has written several children's books. This is her first one and you can see the links to her other books including her latest. She's a total sweetheart.

I had to laugh at one of the reviews. This book is about the ABCs of relaxation and for "p" she had "P is for prayer. Prayer can help bring peace to your mind and body." The reviewer stated it shouldn't be in a secular school. "This book is inappropriate in a public school setting with its religious content, deeming it useless to me. Such books should be put in a separate category and have a warning to those who shop for neutral content that works in wide variety of settings." Some people are so extra. I'm not religious but certainly not offended at the idea of people using prayer to cope.
