I’m side eyeing everything the psychic said. My way out on a limb prediction is that Keely is the one who is pg. Roy is always so good with his niece and Keely always looks adoringly at him when he is with kids, so I kind of think that’s a little foreshadowing. Also, I think it’s going to be a Sex and the City moment like when Miranda was afraid to tell Charlotte she was pg but then Charlotte blurted out “We’re having a baby!” through her tears. I think Keely and Roy might not be together through the pregnancy so Rebecca will be her partner through it. I know, wildly speculative. But it would be fun.

I’m side eyeing everything the psychic said. The "shite in nining armor" is going to be Jamie, I think. He's a "shite" (shit for Brits) and his jersey number is 9. I think that for some reason Zava is going to have to leave at a key moment in the season and since Jamie is now going to be training with Roy, he's going to be in top shape to save the day and the team.

Zava must be the most fun character to play. He’s hysterical.

Jamie was my favourite - watching his reactions to all the Zava stuff in the background, correcting everyone's grammar, the Roy/Jamie storyline, I loved it all. He's come so far as a character.
I don't know where the Shandy character is going but I don't find she has the same charm as everyone else.
Rebecca looks like an absolute goddess - her tailor must be absolute top notch. And her "fuck you" to the psychic over the mother comment was so sincere. I don't know - I feel like it might similar of an outcome to Under the Tuscan Sun - where you get everything you ever wanted but it doesn't look like it at all.
Colin's storyline is already gearing up for some heartbreak and I really don't want that for him. Or his friend.

Oh and Ted broke my heart a bit with finding about about Dr. Jason. Its also kind of squicky - the ex-therapist bit. I think Ted could realistically have the same struggles with Michelle moving on to a new relationship. The same emotional impact could be felt if the new guy was like an old friend of theirs, or someone Ted used to know. I hope that down the line there is some plot payoff to it specifically being their ex-couples therapist because I don't need it to be an unethical new romance to feel Ted's heartache about it.

I thought Beard was making a joke by telling Ted that the Wordle answer was ethic, because he was cheating by asking what it was. Ted said something to Beard after he typed it in, like it was wrong and he just got the joke. But, I could remember wrong…

Spoilers ahooooy I'm so confused by a bunch of what happened in this episode. - I don't get Nate. I realize he was trying to sink them with that play and was pissed it didn't work. But the outburst at Ted? When did Ted "forget" him? By hiring Roy? I realize Nate is supposed to be spiraling, but he's *so* out of touch with reality that it took me aback a bit. - WTF, Keeley? Acting like it's totally normal to tell your boyfriend to go away for 6 weeks was... odd. Right? It wasn't even the telling that got to me, it was the complete lack of emotion around it. I don't know. Overall I feel meh. There were some funny moments and some good stuff, but several things just felt disjointed. I didn’t take it as Nate wanted them to lose. I took it as he wanted to implement this plan and have it be amazing and get credit. Then he thought Ted would take credit when it would work (which Ted didn’t). Then the players didn’t implement it well and he was furious and thought Ted would blame him when it didn’t work (which Ted didn’t). Then Ted’s amazing player management, by letting the players choose their second half strategy and inspiring them, made the original plan work. Nate just threw in the towel and wrote it all off. So Nate was embarrassed because he didn’t trust the players and also didn’t know how to coach them to success. So his response was to behave like a child and throw a tantrum when Ted’s coaching worked. I felt like Nate got so stuck in his victim attitude that nothing was going to make him happy. This. Some people are always the victim.

Watched the finale! I really enjoyed it despite hating Nate with the fire of a thousand suns. I liked how the Sam storyline ended up, I’m glad he didn’t leave. Roy consulting the Diamond Dogs might have been my favorite scene, tied with any scene that the greyhound puppies were in. Spoilers, yo: When Roy said that the diamond dogs were "cool" and then Ted and Beard were middle school girling out lol I loved it. I absolutely fucking hate Nate, so major props to the actor. That scene where he was angrily wiping the tears while telling Ted off was so well acted. Nick Mohammed said that when he read in the script that Nate destroys the Believe sign, he screamed and fell on the floor lol This was also an amazing episode for Beard. His non verbal acting was ON POINT. Nate is lucky he's still in one piece. Sorry for spamming but I did a full rewatch and just caught up last night. Yes, when I saw the Believe sign destroyed I yelled, "YOU'RE DEAD TO ME" at Nate lol. Also Beard fainting when he hears Roy and Keely split up did me in lollll

I'm ok with the Roy Keely hiatus. I think itself important for her to spread her wings and prioritize her career. That was driven hone when Keely asked Shandy about all their old friends and tye answer every time was "married a footballer." I definitely think they are endgame but this is a way for Keely to realize her dream.

I'm kind of worried about Trent outing the player kissing his boyfriend (weirdly close to where everyone just was).
I'd like to think he wouldn't

I'd like to think he wouldn't That was my immediate worry too, and then I thought how mad it'd make me because doing that sort of thing would actually be completely out of character for him. On further consideration I'm worried about an accidental outing - as in, not realizing his teammates don't know and saying something offhand. Ugh, I really hope that doesn't happen though.

I don't think Trent is going to out him in any way; he just had this reconciliation with Roy and we know he feels warmly about Ted, and therefore the team. I don't see him going in that direction.
I DO see Shandy outing Colin to "go viral" if she finds out, though. I don't like her.

I really hope that they have a fresh take on the whole Colin being gay storyline. The whole outing trope (accidental or deliberate) feels very 1990. Being gay isn't the career ender it once was. So Colin deciding when to tell the people in his life is a fully personal journey. Gay characters can just be gay and not have to be *GAY* as their major identifying feature. It just feels old and worn out. It would be like creating a dramatic storyline about someone finding out that their great grandfather was a different race than everyone expected. Sure, big news to the folks in the family, but not a big deal to everyone around them.

I’ll expound now that I’ve gathered my thoughts— Several of the stories seemed too predictable: -that Henry was the bully -that Keeley would make out with the investor (don’t love any of Keeley’s story arc this season
Hated the Shandy stuff. She just was not that funny, so much of a caricature, that storyline was also too predictable.
Don’t think Zava would quietly bow out. I’m guessing he’ll wind up at a bigger club, and then they’ll have to face him? The soccer stuff was the only part of the story I was into last night. That and Rebecca’s fertility subplot, which was heartbreaking, and she acted the heck out of it as usual.
I might just be tired and grumpy!

Yeah, I'm just not loving this season, as much as I want to. It's very obvious that Bill Lawrence is gone and Jason took over and redid half the season. I think Jason is a great writer, but this season is lacking its cohesiveness and heart.
I hate everything that they have done with Keeley. The Michelle/Dr. Jake/Henry being the bully subplots are weird and I wonder where they're going with it all. Catalyst for Ted going back home?
I guess I like what they're doing with Nate, since they made me not give a shit about him anyway.
I want more Roy, and Trent, and Diamond Dogs, and Dani and Jamie being silly, and Beard comments, and Higgins and Rebecca bantering. And get Keeley and Roy back together.

I love Keeley but she is in no way a believable PR CEO.
The entire Zava storyline seems pointless.
I'm assuming the total collapse of the season combined with the situation back home is giving Ted his excuse to leave and the series to end.
Rebecca and Roy are the only reasons I'm still watching at this point.
