I'm set to take my one hour glucose test in an hour and need you all to entertain me. I have the first appt of the day which normally would be a good thing but Monday mornings are the day they schedule RCS at the hospital so aside from waiting for the blood draw with the nurse, I may be waiting long after that to actually see the doctor for my regular appt. I'm also meeting with the new partner OB to the practice and I'm nervous. I've professed my love for my current OB many times before but she cannot single-handedly deliver all the babies in this town by herself either. Otherwise I'm already planning a sugar crash nap and maybe some water time with DD today as it's supposed to be hot.

danvers, good luck with your glucose test today! Mine is tomorrow~ DS will be two in just over a week and he STTN for the very first time last night. We bed-share and normally I need to soothe him back to sleep a few times a night, but last night he got himself back to sleep on his own anytime he woke up. Not expecting it to last but I'll count it as a win anyway! Especially since I was up later than usual with GoT last night.

And... the doctors office just called. Two emergency c- sections came up late this morning so they asked if I could come in tomorrow morning instead. Not a big deal (cause what are you going to say to that anyway?!) so we'll have to find other summer plans today!

Today was so,so busy! We received the keys to our new place, had the movers come to deliver our stuff/unpack, had the cable guy install cable, had the Internet guy come to do that...and it was also DS' first day back to summer school after a week break. All in all, a lot going on over here. Everything went smoothly and the new place is going to be a great fit for us. Today was the first day I stepped foot in our new place, so I was really excited to see our new home in person (I couldn't house hunt, because I was on strict bedrest). DH did a great job 😀.
Now, we have IKEA coming to deliver all of our rugs and assemble the nursery furniture tomorrow. DH will handle that though...I'm too tired from today and don't want to push my modified bedrest restrictions too much. Can't wait to see the place come together - I think DS will love all the space to run around in too!

Hey ladies! DS is at daycare for a few hours so I can get some errands done, then we are going to a friend's pool for the afternoon. It's crazy how much DS loves swimming this year. If only we could afford a pool...

Taitai that's so exciting moving in to a new place. I'm hoping that will be us in a month or so. DD and I went for a walk earlier and now we're just hanging out. Dad and I are planning to go to World Market later. That's about all the excitement I've got planned for today.

Busy ladies today! Sorry for the reschedule danvers I don't have my glucose test until next week and I'm totally okay with that. I'm finding it very much NOT like when everyone was having their anatomy scans and I had to wait lol. I don't think I have any plans for today, which is nothing new. I may run to Wal-Mart to see if they have any Waffle Crunch (did they stop making that?). I've been craving some, but I think they no longer make it. I should google.

I am tired. We drove 2+ hours Saturday for a pool party for our niece's birthday. All afternoon in the sun chasing DS around had me like We left later than intended - that always happens, right? DS passed out quickly in the car but woke up and started fussing about 20 minutes from home. He was so worked up it took us over an hour to get him down. It was well past midnight when DH and I made it to bed. I woke up to DS standing next to the bed staring at me at 6:45. He's been in his big boy bed for a few weeks now and I'm still not used to him being able to get up on his own. He usually calls out for me as he makes his way to find us but I didn't hear him this time. lol Yesterday was lots of prep for this week + a nap for me while DS napped. I'm sitting at my desk reallllly wishing I was at home in a quiet house doing a bunch of nothing.

CoachTsWife, 2+ hours for a pool party?! That's dedication!I'm still not ready for the "wake up to your kids face in your face" moments. Im delaying as long as possible. I think 5% of the time it would be adorable and the other 95% would scare the crap out of me. I dont wake well. DH makes fun of me for jumping up and gasping like a out of a horror movie, every time something awakens me

Thanks for asking. I took it easy on myself this weekend and still had pain, but it was minimal compared to what I've been dealing with. I attribute that to staying off my feet and the maternity belt helping ease weight distribution during mundane tasks. I hate, hate, hate not moving. I can never sit still or relax, so this is torturous for me!

We don't see DH's brother's family very often and so we really make an effort to make it to their kids' birthday parties. It was a ton of fun, but very very very exhausting. DS had a blast though.

Hi all! Without giving too much info on my location, we have a big day on our campus today. That excitement in addition to the pile of work on my desk should make for a quick day.
All of the rug talk in the other thread made me want to find one ASAP for the nursery. I know a few of you mentioned Ikea. What other stores do you like for rugs? I'm thinking Amazon (because tons of reviews) and Target. Any other recs? Looking for a light gray rug, either plain or with a simple design, probably in a shag style.

thatgirlrachel, I get all my rugs on Overstock.com. HUGE selection and whenever I try to price match a rug I find there, I can't find anywhere selling it cheaper. Usually Amazon's version of the same rug is more expensive.

Kitty update: he may make it after all! According g to the vet, his condition is improving. Theres still medicine but we are going to see how he does without going in each morning for fluids. Too stressful for him and me! My H and I can tell he's getting better so this his a huge relief. 🤞

rebeccabunch, T&P that your kitty is on the mend! Nesting has finally kicked in for me. I've always been a procrastinator in general, but now I'm all flustered over how quickly October is approaching. Our weekends are mostly shot until mid-August with DS's birthday, visiting a friend, and 2 weeks of vacation. We have done exactly nothing yet to the room that will be #2's nursery - still packed full of stuff as it was functioning as a storage room. Nesting this weekend wasn't directly related to #2 but still productive - ordered a new dishwasher and cleaned out the kitchen pantry. So much expired baby food because I took advantage of bulk sales then DS never really liked it. One shelf in there has all the bottles and first feeding stuff, so that is more organized now and ready to be washed/prepped for #2.

I came into work and my temporary office is no more since there are renos going on. I don't really have a place to do my work that's closed of so that means less HIH during my work days. It's my lunch time now, left over pizza for me and raspberries that we picked yesterday.

Ugh britt, don't say that. My OB gave me a bottle of orange drink for my glucose test next week. I used my instant pot that I got on prime day! I was reluctant to buy it because it was the 8 quart but it was much cheaper than the small one. I took it out of the box and the thing is huge! I used it anyways. Made meat sauce for my lasagna in it and it tasted pretty good. After my delicious dinner, my toddler was a nightmare. I was getting him ready for bed and when I put on his pj shirt, he flipped out and proceeded to flip out for the next hour. It all ended when he threw up all over me. Yeah fun times. Of course this morning he was the sweetest thing ever and super cooperative - like he knew he was really bad yesterday and wanted to make up for it.

Our offer was accepted!!!!
We also got the inspection report for the house we're selling and they asked us to fix EVERYTHING. LOL no. We'll negotiate some things, but even our realtor was like, that is crazy for them to expect you to fix it all.
