sleepymonkey - it's nice to "see" you! Glad you're doing well.  Yogurt - I hope it's ok if I jump in here even though we're not TTC but I just wanted to offer you some big hugs. Honestly one of the hardest things for me during our secondary IF journey was my BMB. I started the TFAS check-in on our BMB and saw sooooo many people come and go. Some of them had 7 month old babies before I got my BFP. I remember that sting so well and I just wanted to offer some love because I think it's totally normal to have those feels. Hang in there. I'm sending you luck and good thoughts.

Thanks caer. If I may ask, were there any specific issues that cause your struggles the second time? What kinds of stuff causes secondary if? Not that I'm saying I'll have these issues. I know I've only been trying a very, very short time. |

Thanks caer. If I may ask, were there any specific issues that cause your struggles the second time? What kinds of stuff causes secondary if? Not that I'm saying I'll have these issues. I know I've only been trying a very, very short time. We were unexplained, so no known issues. It was very frustrating to not have answers. We got pregnant very quickly the first time; this time, it took 16 months (with one loss) and a medicated cycle with a RE. Just one of those things unfortunately! |

Yogurt, like caer, I had secondary IF. I was 36 when I conceived DD in the second month TTC. When I started TFAS at 38, it took 18 cycles, including 4 failed medicated IUIs (I finally got pregnant the month after I quit treatment). H and I had all of the testing through an RE and no cause was found. My AMH was a little lower than optimal but not enough that it should have taken me that long. I think when you're AMA, the most common cause of 2IF is egg quality.

Ugh, that must have so difficult for you both. I was 33 when I got pregnant with dd and I'm 36 now. We got pregnant the first try before and now we're only on my 3rd cycle. I'm happy we are starting to try now. My husband has such a poor understanding of all parts of reproduction (thought he could get me pregnant the day before AF) that he doesn't understand the importance of the FW. Now that I haven't gotten pregnant twice, I'm hoping he gets it together and we hit more than 1-2 days in my window. sleepymonkey caer |
