I don’t really know what to do with this. This is from one of the non Scobie authors of Finding Freedom How Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton once 'texted regularly about motherhood’ There have been rumours of a rift between Meghan Markle and sister-in-law Kate Middleton for years but at one stage they texted regularly, a royal expert said www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/how-meghan-markle-kate-middleton-23833217

I am laughing. It was still March when you put it in there it is just me I want to talk about it but didn't want to confuse people.

On the article I keep going back and forth. Yes I agree that it does not have to be Kate vs Meghan in the sense that you can like both. In reality I do. I like Meghan more because I like her stances on things, I relate more to her (if that is even possible with the rich and Royal) and I still think Kate is in deeper than many others feel.
On the other hand I hate the Meghan fans are louder. Yes we are we have to be because most of the hate towards her isn't rational hate.

Also I do think that us Meghan fans have had to push the narrative more that we AREN'T picking sides or whatever because it goes against Meghan's love of women empowerment
Not to mention if I tried to compare I would get called out, but no one had a problem when it was used to compare how great Kate is

I think at first, the media pushed the Fab Four narrative. We got the friends narrative when Kate and Meghan went to Wimbledon, etc. What caused the shift? Was it the relational shift that caused the narrative shift? Was it the constant leaks that caused the shift? The number of articles that went out of their way to smear Meghan when she wasn't even part of the story are highly suspect. I remember one in particular that was rumored to come straight from Prince William. The article was denying the affair and then out of nowhere, the article's source started slamming Meghan. I think when you're a fan of Meghan and you keep seeing William and Kate benefitting (and it looks like causing) Meghan's negative press, you're going to like them less. I also think you have to be blind/willfully ignoring that many of Meghan's haters go out of their way to prop Kate up. Things she was criticized for for years are now treated like the ideal. I tend to think the breakdown on the personal side led to the leaks which led to the factions, for lack of a better word, but it could be that the intense fandoms led to the stories which led to the breakdown. Or a combination of things resulting in a perfect storm.

So was there no 9:30 press release or whatever? You didn't see it? They confirmed that Philip died 10 years ago, Charles abdicated to go live with squirrels and Andrew turned himself in.

I remember being here in these threads and being told that I purposefully point things out and not everything had to be compared between the two and how rough I was on Kate that I would go out of my way to point out something I liked, but then I stopped and was all, but if I don't like her outfit I don't like her outfit and I shouldn't feel like I HAVE TO say something nice

Meghan was not the first royal to go with no tights for her bridesmaids www.express.co.uk/news/royal/1287930/zara-tindall-wedding-meghan-markle-bridesmaid-tights-kate-middletonThis is a quote in the article too: The Tatler spokesman said: "Tatler's Editor-in-Chief Richard Dennen stands behind the reporting of Anna Pasternak and her sources. "Kensington Palace knew we were running the 'Catherine the Great' cover months ago and we asked them to work together on it. “The fact they are denying they ever knew is categorically false." Whether or not Meghan and Kate really did fall out over a pair of tights, royal bridesmaids are usually expected to wear them.

So, I don't think Meghan and Kate fell out over the tights. I think it caused an issue in the moment and than Kate apologized and Meghan moved on. By all accounts, she is far more forgiving then she should be. I don't think she held a grudge over the actual incident. Meghan has stated herself that she was upset that they wouldn't correct the record and threw her under the bus to provide cover when the fake story came out 6 months later.
If she has any issue with Kate personally (and she hasn't said she does), I would imagine as a non-white woman myself that it stems from a deep disappointment in Kate not having her back on the issues of race and the horrible treatment she faced in the press. Once Archie was born, I can see her deciding that her kids come first and people who won't protect him are not worth her effort or time. This is all conjecture on my part, but it is based on how I navigate a white dominant world.

Harry playing with his dog on the beach. Do we think it’s random paparazzi photos or they tipped them off? Aren't they in LA? Aren't random paparazzi everywhere anyway? And why are they looking at his foot? Who is this other person? What is happening?

I think it is pretty well known in the area that they spend time on the beach. I wouldn't be surprised if people (not Meghan or Harry) had been asked to tip off the paps off in exchange for money. Heck, a local could have taken the pics with their iPhone and just shopped them.
Calling the paps feels really off brand for Meghan and Harry. They prefer to control their releases in a way they couldn't with tabloid photos.

Meghan is all about encouraging all women that it probably disappointed her so. You can see it in that last video where she seemed to say hi with some enthusiasm and was met with nothing.
Also having kids makes you really think. Before dd I would notice and say things about racism, but with it just being me and H I tended to take his lead (still do to an extent), but now that I have dd I have started calling out the microagressions and having no problem cutting people out.

The other times they’ve been accused of tipping off the paps, they’ve sued the paps which tends to put a hole in the “they wanted them there” theory.
