Windy Wednesday

The wind is brutal this week...it makes it almost impossible to spend anytime outside when the gusts are up to 40 mph.

Today is my last day! I'm going through Outlook and sending an email to my replacement regarding every supplier I have a folder for, so he has contact information and outstanding issues. We are having email issues, like delays of 4 hours, so at the end of the day, if there are still delays, it isn't my problem when stuff isn't taken care of.

Today is picture day for M. He kept saying- I don’t have to be handsome. Yes you do kid, yes you do. They take class pics for the yearbook, also.

I have a zoom meeting soon for a work training and later I’ll be working out and then out to Costco.

Morning. In lieu of me getting more adventurous with my cooking I’m making gnocci with sausage meat & kale tonight. Hopefully it’ll be nice. I made a click and collect order at a local lush to order some stuff for my aunts and my mom, as a little pick me up, so we picked that up and got some nice rolls for lunch.

Until now outside a sore arm (like a bus hit me and left a huge bruise) no real side effects yet, I’m crossing my fingers this is it.

I'm here at work, sans one toenail. I would just like to say it's really weird to have your toe numbed up and not realize when someone is ripping part of it off.

I got a new phone this past weekend and it is slightly larger than my old one. I woke up this morning when a sore thumb/wrist. I'm blaming the new phone and its constant need for excessive swiping. I did however, find the "bedtime" setting on it so that it won't make any more weird noises and wake me up. Now I just have to convince my 7 year old to stop coming into my room and saying, "hi mom, hi!" at 4 in the morning.

I had a toenail removed a little over a year ago. It was such an odd sensation.  Then so weird to just not have a toenail after that.  It was my big toe too, so my foot looked super weird for months.  

I went on a beach vacation about 6 weeks later and I got a pedicure and asked them to paint my actual toe so it looked like I had a nail there.

This sounds quite painful! Do they numb it? I have somehow cracked both of my big toenails really far down and one is growing back in painfully/ingrown. I think I need to go to a podiatrist..

4 shots of numbing all around the toe. That's what hurts, but its over pretty quick.

Hi! Really beautiful day here!

The kids had school and I took a really long shower and took the time to blow out my hair. Charlie and I spent the afternoon outside and now I have to go pick up Josie in an hour.

Pdq: I spoke to my cousin last night and she said they are going to have a baptism party for my newest little cousin (who I have yet to meet because of Covid). It’s about 30-40 people outside. I don’t feel comfortable going, and I don’t understand how they feel comfortable hosting it especially bc they are not getting vaccinated.
She also told me that I should try to find a beach house rental near their beach house rental this summer so we can vacation together. She tried to tell me that it’s safe because it’s just their pod that’s going, but they all work outside of the house so the idea of a pod starts of falls apart once you scrape the surface a tiny bit.

4 years ago I dropped a jar of sauce from a high shelf on my toe.  That shit hurt like crazy.  The nail eventually fell off but it didn't fall till much later so it was still like half a nail.  Then it just never healed right and it always sort of hurt.  flash forward 2 years and I was playing with S a little rough and my foot snagged on his pants.  It pulled the nail back completely off the nail bed and started gushing blood.  hurt like hell again and S was so scared he did something to me!  They had to remove the whole nail to start fresh and I've been ok ever since.

Good afternoon. I had a cleaning appt at the dentist this morning otherwise just a regular day. It’s raining here now and might turn into snow later this afternoon/evening. Spring weather is a trip.

I wouldn't be comfortable with that AT ALL. We are having a very small bday party for A this weekend. It'll be outside and just my mom, two of my sisters, their husbands and kids. Those of us work outside the house are vaccinated and everyone else is super cautious. I'm still nervous about it wondering if we are being dumb. Absolutely no to a party that big.

My appointment was fine yesterday. I have to have iron infusions once a week for five weeks because my “stores” are so low.

So many work things this week! I hope it dies down a little.

Dh has a board meeting tonight so it’s just C and me. I ordered Friendly’s and can’t wait! For those that don’t know it’s a restaurant primarily in New England. Their food is ok but their ice cream is the best. Reese’s Sundae here I come!!

Yes. Not going to the funeral is not an option. It’ll be just my granddads children, my grandmas children & the grandchildren 28 in total, with distance and masks. We’ve know all of these people to normally be very careful.

Eta they met later in life, both widowed, hence the separate children.
