"Well, mom remember you said that sometimes you can dance in just a 'brawl'"
"A sports bra, sure. But not ballet, maybe for like jazz or hip hop"
"Well...when are you going to put me back in jazz and hip hop?"
"You said you didn't like jazz or hip hop"
"Not true. I want to go back."

....so if my kid can dance in a 'brawl' then she would like to join in.....I should probably be worried about this. LOL

I’m here. At work. It’s slower today and I’m trying out some podcasts. Anybody have any they like? Not really sure what I’m looking for. I’m not into true crime or anything like that.

Boys are at school and I've been getting some work done. I just found out I need to go into the office tomorrow, MH will be away, and S gets out of school at 12:40, so I arranged for his BFFs mom to take him in the afternoon. Otherwise, just groundhogs day again around here!

klong11 M would definitely be team C when it comes to dancing in a sports bra. She wants to buy revealing workout clothes just to have and not actually workout. I got her some cheap bras at Walmart and she was thrilled.

My oldest is in 3rd grade and my husband still doesn't have access to their school account. FFS. Men drive me up the wall with this shit. He was bitching it's confusing. Yeah, it was confusing for me 3 years ago but that's what the school uses so I had to figure it out.

On Thursday M returns to school for the first time in a year. Only 2 days a week but I'll take it. She's excited. I discovered at least for now they were routed to a new bus. It's a little further away but their old one often took an home to get them home and was chronically late. This one only takes a 1/2 hour to get them home so it should be much nicer.

Nothing exciting today. I was super productive at work last week so that's got me on a high for this week. Hoping I can keep it up.

Morning! Josie’s dance school has a strict dress code. All primary students wear one color, second year another color, etc.
Because she is only in tap, she gets to wear black and she thinks it’s super exciting.
Eventually, students who are just taking tap have to take another load of dance and she will have to adhere to the leotard color. By that point she may not care.

Also, we had such high winds last night that the IKEA circus tent that I leave out on our deck with the Adirondack chairs inside of it blew off of the back deck (which is not flat on the ground) and into the brook behind our house. My neighbor texted me to let me know this morning. I called our first selectmen’s office and asked him what I could do because it’s not easy to get into the brook myself, and he sent over two maintenance workers to retrieve it for me. Perks of a small town?

No, I think we have until April 30th to get them in.  I always have ours done first half of March to clear up the previous year.
RRSP deadline is Feb 28, so there is a lot of movement and focus with people around that prior to tax time.

Doughboys is my guilty pleasure because it’s such trash (and the only one I listen to at regular speed)

I have the extra kids today and the girl will.not.stop.whining. and if she does stop for a minute, her brother immediately ticks her off and she starts again. Going to be a long day. She's currently sobbing because I told her to eat lunch.. the other 3 kids have been done for 20 minutes and she started 10 minutes before them..

I just listened to nurture vs. nurture with Wendy Mogel. What about it don’t you like? I think it was her first episode and the first half didn’t grab me, but I found a few things she said to the parents towards the middle to end of it maybe helpful. Again, I’m just one episode in, but just wondering.

I’ll look these other ones up, too.

After A's meeting with speech yesterday they determined he is delayed in speech (no surprise), so I think he's going to start preschool two mornings a week! It's a special ed room and there is a teacher, para pro and speech pathologist so he will have speech as well as typical "preschool" stuff like playing outside, snack time, ect. Only problem is start and finish time are both times C is in virtual school. They do have a bus that will pick him up from our house if we want but I'm a bit nervous about it! For reference he will be 3 on Sunday and gas never been in daycare or school. We can't go into the school anyway... I think I'm going to request pictures of his classroom, teachers, ect to make him a little prep book because he won't understand us just telling him he's going to school where he played yesterday.

Hi ladies. SSDD also baby girl has decided she won’t sleep in her crib during the night either, so fun times...

The lack of sleep and breastfeeding is making me hungry all.the.time so I’m actually gaining weight and seriously I’m not even eating that bad, not like I’m eating pizza and McDonald’s 24/7, we cook most nights and I eat fruits and veggies every day. I should stop eating trail mix...

Anecdotal of course, but both my kids went to preschool/daycare for the first time when they were 2.5 and almost three, they both loved it!!!

Any chance you could come check out the room & maybe meet the teacher after hours? That how they do it at our school now for kids that are new.

It felt brash to me. Maybe too fast paced for the issue at hand, so it felt jumpy and like she was interrupting bc they only had an hour. I started the one about the kids who are growing up on a farm, but I didn’t finish it.
I think I prefer Esther Perel’s podcast and this felt so much harsher than hers.

Hey. DH stayed home from work today because he had a doctor appt so we’ve been running errands all morning. I also had conferences for S, which went well. I think we have a few more things to do this afternoon before I go to work. We are having a heat wave this week, 50s and possibly up to 60. I am not mad about it.

I listen to mostly true crime podcasts but aside from that I listen to pantsuit politics, pod save America, what a day, young house love, and this podcast will kill you. I have a bunch of other ones I’m subscribed to because I heard a recommendation but I haven’t listened to them yet, mostly true crime.

Our school won't allow parents inside either anymore.  I like the idea of getting pics of everything and maybe see about a virtual visit?

I'm currently trying to get H another speech assessment for articulation. He already receives speech therapy through the district but for some reason I have to request another assesment for articulation because he was only approved for language.

LSS, the system is severely flawed and I think it is really dumb. Why not just allow the therapist that seems him everyday work more on pronouncing age appropriate sounds when she knows that's what he needs to focus on now?

Another day in the office. The idiot taking my place is showing what a waste of an employee he is, the person from corporate basically said that. So I'm glad it isnt just me complaining about him since our boss seems to think he can handle it.

Oh,our boss also told him I manage 5 suppliers...uh,its 100 fuck face. These people have no idea what I do.

And the idiot replacement would rather spend his time discussing demand (which isn't us), than going through what we need to order and me giving supplier information. He's wasting time and going to be completely lost.

Today has been such a lazy day. Our water was shut off on our street from 11-3 so I used that as my excuse to lay in bed during Ls nap and let H be on the iPad. I couldn’t do laundry or clean, and I didn’t want to work out if I couldn’t shower. Plus my period finally showed up and I had a headache all day, so I don’t even feel too guilty.

But then we picked N up from school and played outside for a while. Now I need to start dinner. Dh is going to be late and then I will take N to gymnastics. They emailed tonight that one parent is finally allowed to go in and watch so I’m excited to see her progress over the last year (!). Too bad today is the last day for this session.

Whats really funny about it, he isnt new...he's been there for like 15 years. But he has no drive. All he does is manage 8 suppliers. I was involved in so much more and they never trusted him with anything else. Ive questioned numerous times how he still has a job.

If he had left, I could have absorbed his stuff with little issue. It was discussed a few times, getting rid of him and hiring someone under me. But no one would ever do it.

Now they are seeing what they have done to themselves.

It is hard for me...I take a lot of pride in my work and the relationships I've developed with my suppliers. Hes going to fuck it all up.
