Hi all,
I was scrolling down to get to our BMB, and sweet Kenley's name caught my eye. I saw the following post from rslh10 about a project she's working on for Kenley. I checked with her to see if I could share it here, and she said that would be great, and that she misses us but that it is too difficult for her to come here (understandably).
Here's what she's working on. I'm bad at interwebbing so I will post the links next.
For Kenley's 2nd Birthday in December I'm planning to donate care packages to the hospital system where she was born. Last December I was able to donate 20 bags and I just recently found out that those bags were used within 6 months. I also donated (with help from other people and members here) pajamas, and crocheted hats.
This year, I'm upping the donation to 40 bags, 40 girl pajamas, 40 boy pajamas, and 40 books for siblings if needed. I will be adding a few items to the care packs this year based on feedback and ideas that have come to me since donation last time. I have a few friends who have volunteered to crochet hats, and blankets for babies who are born sleeping, as well. I'm so thankful for everyone's help and I know that we can make this thing happen.
I'm going to leave the link to the website here that I've set up for her care packages. I'm starting donations early this year because of doubling the donations I'm hoping that by starting early it will give me adequate time to get everything here at my home, and assembled to be donated in December. I've also set up an Amazon wish list that way people can directly purchase items that are needed for the care packages. I know some people like to see where their donations are actually going.
So, I'm just asking you to take a peek at the site. If you can donate or purchase an item or two from the wish list, great! If not, thats totally ok. I just want people to remember my sweet girl, and I want her to be proud of the things we are doing for other bereaved parents in her name. I miss her so much.
