mwhip I wish the teacher would have given us work for this week. Then I could probably get Cadence to do it. Instead I bring out the workbooks I have and made her work through some of it. She hated it. However, I asked her to do several cleaning tasks and she jumped all over that shit.

Evies school is closed again tomorrow. I'm emailing her teacher for resources to keep her busy. She asks me all day for math problems then I have to grade them. Is my kid the only weirdo asking for school work when she doesn't have to do any? Are they not doing distance learning because of the blackouts? I think there’s some math apps and websites. Check prodigy, brain pop, funbrain. She may be interested in those.

Just found out the kids are going back to school next month! Wish I had been vaccinated first but I’m so ready. Glad they get to go back to in person before the school year ends. Hope they get teachers vaccines started before then.

I can try to find them if you are interested

My guess is its because of the potential blackouts, it's going to be cold again, but they went to school last week when it was this cold. She has logins to Prodigy and Brain Pop, I'll tell her to look at them!

mwhip does she have dreambox or epic books? Dreambox is a math game that Cadence has been playing since last year. Epic books has books she can read or it reads them to her and then there are quizzes afterwards.

Hey. It was in the negatives for temps again today. We are also dealing with the rolling blackouts up here, but luckily we haven’t lost power at our house. Today was very long, and I am so glad the girls go back to school tomorrow. They need a break from each other, and me from them. Work tonight was pretty quiet. tgrimes I hope you have power and water back now, if not then ASAP! inthekitty I hope they can get to the bottom of your pelvic pain. Could it be endometriosis?

trtlcrzy I wondered about endometriosis too. Not sure if they'd see signs of that on a US which was otherwise normal aside from the polyp. The doc said it's often difficult to determine the source of pelvic pain since so many things can cause it. It's been a dull fairly constant ache with occasional brief sharp pains. Nothing too bad, but figured I better get it checked out to make sure my insides aren't rotting or multiplying.

I was able to get the tub working a bit to fill it up so we can flush toilets. Power came back on a bit ago so I’m charging everything and made coffee. We don’t expect it to last very long. Our county judge said we could be dealing with this for a couple days.

Went off the federal grid so they could avoid federal regulations and were too cheap to winterize. So in other words completely preventable. Meanwhile the middle class and poor are paying for the lack of foresight of the rich. It sucks even in moderate weather to go without power and water, I can't even imagine in freezing temps, especially when you are not used to cold. Did y'all hear about the dickhead Texas mayor who went on a social media rant saying people need to pull up their bootstraps, take care of themselves, and quit asking for handouts? The fucker resigned, but seriously, what kind of fucked up lack of logic do you have if you think wanting a utility you paid for is a "handout."

Yeah... and the emergency meeting to vote to increase prices while that many people are out of power. The audacity.

I'm like isn't electric a paid utility?? Some people..

They don’t want people going crazy using power because so many people are still without it.

inthekitty sorry to hear about the polyp and surgery. My mom experienced something similar to what you are describing (the pain/twinges/etc) on and off for a couple years. Her doctor ordered ultrasounds, etc. and they never could find anything, and otherwise she's fine. I think it eventually went away...weird. Obviously she's got 25-30 years on you but, JIC I'll ask her if the dr. ever gave her a likely cause or anything and report back.
