Oh my goodness. The photographer that took family/newborn pics just texted that her hard drive crashed and she did not have a back up. What in the world... she said she’s working on retrieving them, but couldn’t guarantee anything, if she couldn’t retrieve the pictures she would come back and retake them...
Eta it just... I don’t have a newborn anymore 😕.

We just lost electricity. My entire neighborhood did. I had heard there were going to be rolling blackouts, but they're saying we may be out another hour and half. I have battery backup on my garage door, so I could leave and go to my moms, she has electricity still. But I'd have to pack so much crap up...I can't decide what to do. Plus I can't heat anything up for lunch.

Buy them big, we always do and it’s nice if they more then one year years. I love the suits, you can zip them right up over their normal clothes and it won’t leave a cold ‘gap’.

Hi all. I’m also over this cold! I think we only have a couple days left of this, it should be in the 30s by the weekend! I spent most of the morning cleaning my oven. So time consuming, but it needed to be done after Dh let pizza fall through the racks. N went to school with no issue this morning. She was excited to go right to the counselors office, so it was a good distraction. Dh wants to make steaks tonight so I either need to go to the store or get an order in. Probably do an order so I don’t have to get out of the car. I’d be making YH clean that mess up! That’s the worst!

Pipes in the second bathroom are frozen. Just the cold line for the shower and the line that fills the toilet tank. I'm very annoyed by it. We have a zoom teacher conference at 1:15. Hopefully the power doesn't go out before then. The are doing rolling outages, but I know some areas of our neighborhood haven't had power since last night. Yikes! I hope they don’t burst!

I buy the Bib kind. So they wear them over normal clothes, then their winter coat. I buy at once upon a child, which is a second hand store. I usually pay $8 per pair. Walmart has them though. may have to order online.

Costco typically has some cheap ones in the fall, I think that's where we got our most recent ones. Target, amazon, etc. Hope everyone stays safe in the snow, sounds pretty dire out there with these power outages. nam2013 hoping she can retrieve them🙏🙏

This weather sucks! We had a good layer of ice first and haven’t been able to walk outside without our ice grips on our boots in days. Now we are getting snow on top of it. Currently have about 5”. There is another 3-6 inches coming allegedly.
Last week S only went to school for 1/2 a day Monday and then was canceled the rest of the week because weather. This week they are “virtual learning “ because of weather. But S can’t do virtual learning so we are just out of luck. Thankfully Friday the temps start going up! Today it is 2* currently with a wind chill of -18. Which is crazy! I do t know how you northerners do it!

Also I forgot to say, check out your local market place. My sister got us two almost new suits last year, one for free and new for $20, normally each would have coast us $130.

Power back up. If your electric companies are talking about rolling power outages, I'd keep everything fully charged, just in case. Ours was out for about 45 minutes, temp dropped 4 degrees in our house, so we were fine, but I was concerned about my cell phone

I think vino gets them there too IIRC. If I don’t find any on sale this spring, this will be an option in the fall. Thanks!

I even downloaded some shows and movies in case we do lose power so we have something to occupy our minds. Glad it came back pretty quickly. We have a gas fireplace. Can we use that to heat the house a little if we do lose power? I think it should be safe, but I’m new at this.

If that is the case, then no, it's the electrical switch that turns them on, regardless that there is gas that keeps them burning. I think propane heaters are about the only things that work, but you wouldn't want to use those in a confined, non ventilated space.

What you want to look for are ones that have a light stitching on the inside of the sleeves and legs for them to grow with the kids, I generally get 2 seasons out of them. When both kids were younger and in daycare I always bought a second set of pants from Goodwill and I’d keep them there. I brought them home on weekends to clean but I’ve forgot a couple times and I think the daycare just washed them.

nam2013 I hope the photographer can find the pictures, that really stinks. My SIL has 4 kids in their 20’s. She gave us snow pants in every size years ago. They are Kids R Us brand. They are probably the last Kids R Us items left on earth.

DS1 is about to start hockey game number 7 in a few minutes. It is the championship game for the tournament they were asked to be in last minute. The team they are playing plays dirty and the parents are mean. We played them yesterday and one mom from our team Facebooks Lives the games and the other parents should be embarrassed by the things that got picked up on audio. The game this morning was close (4-3) and at the end the other team came to tell our kids they hope we win tonight because of who we are going against. It was so nice to watch him play in person for the first time in a year, aside from 1 outdoor game a few weeks ago. DH is with him tonight. We are supposed to get an ice storm later so hopefully they will get home before that starts.

The ice just started here. The school already called a snow day. Which sucks. I have the extra kids tomorrow and everyone plays soooo much better when M is at school..

If I looked online I would most likely see them there. Lol. I thought maybe you had to go to specific stores like sporting goods or something. Lol.

Fwp.. whoever shopped for my grocery order did not do a great job. Normally they are great about substituting similar items. But apparently they are completely out of romaine lettuce, flour tortillas and corn tortillas. Hard time believing that, so Dh is stopping at the store on his way home. They also put my bread together with a bag of potatoes and oven cleaner. And the eggs with a half gallon of milk and all my produce... which is also the bag that broke as soon as I took it out of my car. The eggs survived, but the cinnamon roll can popped open.
