I like the idea of them all stained the counter color personally, but I think both would look nice.

I would stain the same as the counter. I think it would look much warmer than white and probably hold up a bit better with wear.

If you were to do white I’d probably add a polyurethane layer to seal it since it is not only open shelves but highly used.

I wanted to find out what they were used for because my living room built ins and guest room built in desk is white and the kids destroyed the top with their toys and what not. If we weren’t moving, I was going to find out what I could put on top of a fresh layer of paint to help with this, but now that we are selling, ill just paint the top before we list it. ETA: destroyed is an exaggeration. They are just marked up and nothing I clean with gets the marks out. The only thing that will make it look better is to paint it. |

Drizzle cut by 50% from sherwin Williams. guster What does it mean to cut it 50%? They only do 50% of the color so it's lighter. I got the test can and it was super dark. I got it cut and just got a gallon without testing it. Idk why I took the risk, but it ended up being the perfect color. |
