peachsmama is she still rear facing? Dd was a little older, but went from being completely fine to throwing up all.the.time. We switched her around to ff (2y3m) and she was fine... mwhip sounds perfect. She is and I hate to turn her since she is not even 2 yet. But I may try it for a few days and see if it fixes our problem. Is she eating directly before getting in the car? Maybe giving her something, like a book, to look at could help? I know my sister’s motion sickness is made worse by looking out the window.

peachsmama , Cadence's car sickness got worse when we turned her around. You might try and remember what, if anything, she ate before each car vomit incident. It could be a food allergy that's actually causing the vomiting. I thought that but its been different things each time. And she's eaten them and then not driven and she doesn't throw up.

The other times, no.

peachsmama, does she watch a tablet or phone? I would try giving her that to see if it helps. Cadence has to be focused on the tablet screen when we go on longer trips (30+ minutes is long for her) otherwise we have to pull over for vomit.

lahdeedah, you bake a block of feta with cherry tomatoes, garlic and olive oil. When it’s done cooking, you mash it with a fork and mix in cooked pasta and basil.

Our district called a distance learning day despite roads being cleared last night. C was a huge pain. My work actually gave us today off as an employee appreciation day so at least I didn’t have to work I guess. He just wrapped up and is playing with the neighbor. We are going to go sledding later I think. Not much else going on.

No. She usually has a few toys but threw them all out this morning. I'll try that. She usually just chucks everything out.

Love it, tgrimes. Are you making it just for fun? Yes. Mara was suppose to help me but she placed out after the 2nd rose and said it was too hard. I’m not a quitter.

tgrimes is it going on the outside? Do you have to cover it anything, like a sealer? I don’t think I should put it outside. Surely the tissue paper would disengrate or something right?

This is the message I sent. We will see if she responds. I know she is off work today, but they had more people over and were doing jello shots (she offered me some before I was a bitch) so she may be sleeping still. Or hate me now. Hey, I want to apologize for last night. I was very frustrated trying to get evie to sleep...everytime I thought she was out, another boom and she was wide awake...with it being a school night, I needed her to sleep. And addie had been stressed since the one before the game. But I should have handled it better and wanted to apologize for being such a bitch. Perfect.

Good morning! We had snow yesterday but no delays or closing today so as soon as everybody was off to their respective schools, I did a mad dash of Walmart, the grocery store, Home Depot, and a bakery pick up. It looks like we’ll be having another snow day tomorrow so I need to get everything for Valentine’s Day and their class party over to Josie’s school this afternoon to “quarantine” for Friday. I’m making the TikToo tomato/feta pasta that has been all over the Internet. I’m super excited about it. Let me know how it is. I saved the recipe last week!

slenle I’m so sorry for both of you, heartbreaking to see as a mom. Does she have mindful teacher that can give her a little bit of extra attention, just to make sure she’s okay? Yes, her teacher is good. I emailed him this morning and he’s talked to her a bit. With the Covid rules, they have to have assigned seating at lunch but he’s going to see if he can switch her to sit closer to someone she can talk to. It’s such a struggle to know what’s right. I don’t want to coddle her by letting her stay with me but I don’t want to like, traumatize her or something. I’m thinking I’d doing something along the lines of... be brave all week at school and have a special date with mom on the weekend.

peachsmama my Mal got car sick all the time until she got glasses in 2nd grade. She hasn’t once since then and now even rides the big rollercoasters and stuff. Not sure if they can check a baby’s eyes but maybe it could be something like that.

B had his first therapy appt today. It was weird. Basically she just watched me play with him for a while. So that was awkward. But he loved her and asked when we can go back, so that's good. MH is out of town so S went to his bubble friend's house for the afternoon while we went and said they had a blast so that was fun.
also this morning, after I dropped S at school (he's only in for 4 hours 2 days/week), my car wouldn't start! B and I were stuck and it is freezing today. I called one of his friend's parents who live closeby to help and they jumped the car. I've been running around most of the day and it has been fine since. So weird. Hopefully it was just a fluke.

She had it as a baby. Outgrew it around 11 months. I wonder if it's come back. As I learned with M, reflux can happen at any time. It doesn't matter how long it's been since they last ate. The GI told me it was the leading cause of vomitting in children. And as lfig taught me, it can be a build of things over a period of time, which seems to be the case with my M. Start keeping a food diary and a vomit journal, lol. (Also it wouldn't hurt to turn her car seat around to see if that's an easy fix to your problem.)

That wreath looks beautiful! You should be so proud, tgrimes! Also the pasta is delish (we used chickpea pasta). It’s heavy, but so tasty!

I feel like I did quite a bit, but looking at my house, it doesn’t show. Today was a warmer day, so we spent a little time outside. Planning to do the same tomorrow before the cold comes back the next day.

If it doesn't help, I'll start a food journal. I hate cleaning it and she gets so upset by it all. She just sobs "mommy mommy" it's so sad. I need it to stop.
