Super Bowl Hangover/Monday

Just kidding, nothing for me to celebrate. Wasted vacation day for me.

H and I are both off work today. Just drinking coffee and staying warm.

So I'm trying to decide if I need to apologize to our neighbor. Before the game even started last night, probably 30 minutes before, her boyfriend blew a half stick of dynamite. Loud, but it was early, so whatever. H was pissed, but I didn't say anything.

Obviously we were not going to come back, so I put evie to bed when there was about 5 minutes left, so like 9ish. I was about to leave her room, and he did another one. Uh, dude, nothing to celebrate. About 10 minutes later he did another one and I was fucking pissed. I went outside and her storm door was open. I got my phone and called her, asked if it was them and she said it was her dumbass BF. I told her if they did it again I was calling the fucking cops and hung up on her.

We live a little outside of the city, but still within city limits, in a subdivision with about 85 houses. I should have handled it better, but do I need to apologize? We do hang out outside when it's nice and have driveway beers and I hate to have a shitty relationship with our neighbor.

Morning! Slightly hungover here and the kids have soooo much energy. It's freezing out but we will get out in the snow to hopefully help calm them down.

mwhip, I'd probably apologize about how you handled it but explain you were very frustrated. You have every right to be pissed, I'd just apologize to keep the peace but that's just me.

Morning. Snow day! Officially it was 20 degrees outside, but because of a very strong cold wind it feels like 5... it is cold people and it’ll stay cold all week, feels like a life time ago. Since we told Ds no more home school on Friday, he did not want to do it today. Which I was more then fine with, his teacher emailed late list night ‘oh homework for tomorrow is; play outside in the snow, listen to a story, make a winter picture & try to have fun!’

Morning. N had a rough morning again, lots of tears and a stomach ache. As soon as I told her she could stay home and we’d reevaluate at lunchtime, she was fine. Ugh. So we took H to school and I brought her backpack along and was able to talk her in to going. The school admin called for attendance and I told her we were in the parking lot and she told N she’d walk her to her classroom, which helped. I still feel so bad dropping her off with tears in her eyes, but I don’t know what else to do. They only have a 3 day week and then are off Thursday and Friday, and just had last Thursday off as a snow day so I want her to go, but man this sucks.

I’m home with M2. When he woke up this morning, he looked around, grabbed M’s pajamas and said Momma look! Lol. I didn’t tell him he was staying home and he was looking for his brother.

I only have plans to do some cleaning and organizing.

Hey, I want to apologize for last night. I was very frustrated trying to get evie to sleep...everytime I thought she was out, another boom and she was wide awake...with it being a school night, I needed her to sleep. And addie had been stressed since the one before the game. But I should have handled it better and wanted to apologize for being such a bitch.

Morning. It was -5 out for preschool drop off this morning. I got home and had to turn right back around because DH forgot his belt and device pocket at home so I brought it to him. Now V and I are just hanging at home. I need to do laundry and some cleaning.

Well I was going to complain about the cold but after seeing trtlcrzy temps.. I'll move on to my next complaint. MJ got car sick twice last week. I have 3 carseats. So I got the 2 washed and the extras put back in the basement yesterday. Then she threw up on the way home from preschool drop off this morning. Ugh. I don't want to dig them out of the basement again so I'm leaving her with my mom so I can grab J from school. I have the extra kids tomorrow so I won't be going anywhere. I'll wash it and hang to dry today. Idk why she's getting car sick all of a sudden. Maybe the heat in the car? Idk. But I'm over washing carseats!

Good morning! We had snow yesterday but no delays or closing today so as soon as everybody was off to their respective schools, I did a mad dash of Walmart, the grocery store, Home Depot, and a bakery pick up.
It looks like we’ll be having another snow day tomorrow so I need to get everything for Valentine’s Day and their class party over to Josie’s school this afternoon to “quarantine” for Friday.
I’m making the TikToo tomato/feta pasta that has been all over the Internet. I’m super excited about it.

Below is her response back. I think her and I are good. H is still pissed off. I guess when the first one went off and I was putting evie to bed, he sent her a message and asked what was going on and she told him a car had done donuts at the end of the street, and threw the dynamite out, which was a lie, he checked the ring. I blame the entire situation on too many drinks.

I appreciate that. But I get it. With drinking and everything going on, it didn't even occur to me that it was so late and I think it was so loud in my house that the booms weren't as loud as I bet they were in yours. So I'm sorry for being inconsiderate and being a pain in the ass.

Her boyfriend owns one of the firework tents that go up annually, so he knows people. But that shit isn't legal, definitely not in city limits. I might have tolerated it more on a weekend. But Sunday, 9pm, after losing in the super bowl. No.

She is and I hate to turn her since she is not even 2 yet. But I may try it for a few days and see if it fixes our problem.

slenle I'm so sorry she's having a tough time. Thats heartbreaking as a parent. I agree with what kim22 said yesterday--I think we'll be seeing this quite a bit as kids go back. Mine are definitely clingy when I go into the office and even though they want to go back to school I think it will be challenging for them initially and the days will feel long.

I think you did the right thing having her go. Ultimately it's the only thing that will get her used to it again. She'll eventually adjust. 💓

peachsmama , Cadence's car sickness got worse when we turned her around.

You might try and remember what, if anything, she ate before each car vomit incident. It could be a food allergy that's actually causing the vomiting.
