Morning!
Winter is definitely here...we had a nice little respite earlier this week but it's cold again.
B has a basketball game at noon, then I need to get the house cleaned up b/c tonight our sitter is coming. My mom's BFF (who is like an aunt to me) is having a game night...me, my mom, aunt, and sister. So that will be fun.

Good morning, I’m at work. My oldest sister stopped by to visit last night since she was in town (she lives 3 hrs away) and stayed till 9:30 so I was late getting to bed. I really don’t feel too tired this morning, surprisingly.

Morning! MH is at work. My sister and her kids are coming over. I want CFA haha. Ha! I took B for breakfast yesterday (teacher planning day) and he ended up not eating his chicken biscuit. I reheated it for his breakfast this morning and was so jealous. |

Our only plans this weekend were hockey and a covid case has canceled them all. We were not told to quarantine DS beyond there is no hockey until Tuesday but it’s freezing and we have no where to go so we are home. We may take a ride to check on the beach house tomorrow but otherwise just waiting for the snow storm on Monday. inthekitty DD now has 1 mouse that will let her hold her. The dog was so jealous though so I won’t let her bring it out or her room. |

Happy Saturday!
Nothing planned here. The mom of M’s best bud from last year texted me asking if she could pick M up and take the boys to do something fun. He’s excited for that.
We’ve been cleaning and tidying up all morning. I’ll probably make a Costco run and grab something for late lunch soon.
I started The Undoing last night. So far so good. Not sure if I’ll finish it tonight, but I’ll probably make good progress.

kim22 haha at the jealous dog. Last night Cass was distraught because Light was AWOL. We searched everywhere and finally I said she needs to go to bed and we'll search again in the morning. Suddenly I hear cheers of joy coming from her room--Light was in her bed.

We're on an impromptu trip to a snow park. We were going to our favorite touristy viking town but with a 96% chance of rain we nixed that. The snow bibs still fit--just barely.

Thankfully the basketball game wasn't quite as bad as last week...our kids played decently but the shots just weren't falling.
B picked out a Beyblades thing at Target yesterday with a gift card he got for Xmas; this is our first foray into Beyblades. IMO It is the most overpriced piece of plastic ever but admittedly, it has kept the kids entertained for the better part of 2 days now. At the moment a bunch of neighborhood kids are in my driveway and they're all playing (battling?)
DH sent gifts from Japan that arrived today and the kiddos were so excited. One of C's was a pale pink kimono that is just beautiful. So she is currently wearing that with leggings, lol...refuses to take it off.

flamingo we need a pic of C in her kimono! That is the cutest rat inthekitty! He looks like a cartoon. I had a dream last night where we had three cats. That was just a detail in the very odd dream (I also moved to Ukraine to be with my sister and become a professional ballerina). Dh told me “FYI there will never be three cats. That’s crossing a line”. I hadn’t thought much about it before but of course now I am! We want a dog eventually and our house isn’t big enough for four animals so my cat dreams will wait.

We did nothing today. I got a migraine and slept/laid in the dark all day. I was supposed to get my new glasses adjusted but I couldn’t do it so I canceled. Dh watched tv in the family room and C watched videos and played in his room all day. I think we all needed alone time. It was freezing so we were housebound anyway.

So we never had animals growing up. We always said things like T. Lol. And as soon as my sister moved out she got a “hypo allergenic “ dog...an Italian Greyhound. Because she knew that if she ever moved back home she wanted to bring him. Lol. Now she has some version of a Mini Australian labradoodle. That is allegedly hypo allergenic too. My mom actually LOVES dogs but breaks out and itches terribly as well as swollen eyes if she isn’t careful to wash her hands right away after petting. |

The kids had swim lessons this morning and then M & I watched the newest Sulphur Springs episode on the Disney channel. We all raked some leaves and then we had pizza for dinner.
They think MH’s grandfather had a stroke and now his kidneys are shutting down. My in laws drove over there today. Please keep him in your thoughts/prayers.

Hi all - long day here and kids got on my nerves most of the day (as usual). We dropped off a trunk full of baby clothes to goodwill and prepping for a snow day tomorrow. Trying to finalize camp registration before the early bird special expires, they have a day camp and a sports camp for J's age, so trying to figure out how to balance the two options, I think he'd enjoy both.

Oh no tgrimes! Praying for you all! Is this the one that has/had Covid? Yes. He tested negative on Thursday so they sent him home. MH’s aunt was supposed to take care of him for another week before the assisted living place would take home back. She found him on the floor in the middle of the night and couldn’t get him up so she called 911. Hospice came yesterday and said it was a stroke. So sad. |
