Prayers & Good Thoughts Needed Update in OP

I just found out my cousin's little boy is in the hospital. He had several seizures yesterday and is in the ICU, intubated and heavily sedated while they try to figure out what's going on. He just turned 4.
If y'all have any prayers or good thoughts to spare for him and his family I would appreciate it.

Update: They think he was bitten by a flea that transmitted a bug virus. They've changed his antibiotics. They tried to bring him out of sedation but he had another seizure so he is back under and still intubated.
This is thirdhand info from my mom. Thank you everyone for your good thoughts and prayers.

Update again:
They still don't know what's going on. He is off the ventilator but still having seizures. This child has never had a vaccination either. The whole family is hoping this experience will convince his parents to vaccinate him.


He had another seizure last weekend and more tests were run. After sending some to a specialized testing center he tested positive for Lyme disease. Previously had tested negative twice for it in January.
He starts a 2-3 week treatment today. I don't know much about Lyme disease or what the treatment is but I'm glad there is finally an answer.
