I dropped Cadence at my mom's yesterday and spent most of today snuggles up in bed with the cats. Watched a few episodes of TPT and read several chapters in a book. Like a real book I'm reading for pleasure. I haven't been able to do that in forever.

Mh had the tree down by the time I got home yesterday and this morning he straightened up in the living room.

I text my boss to see if I could still go to the office. I’m the only one scheduled to work this week so I could bring the kids with me. Waiting to see if that’s okay or not.

I already started putting things in bags for Goodwill and Chase is offering up additional items. Unexpected, but I will take it!!

Hi guys.... I know it’s lame that the weekend is nearly over and I am just now checking in. It’s just been a whirlwind few days here. Christmas was great. I was in a very “festive” mood and drank a bottle of cava w my cousin.
Kids have been happy and keeping busy playing w their new stuff so that has given me time to decompress from all the holiday lead-up.

I want to start Bridgerton, but there’s too many people here now. Maybe in the next week or so. I agreed to work 4 weeks straight starting the second full week of January, so my free time is limited.

I made a Costco run earlier and doing laundry. I need to wash and straighten my hair tonight and I don’t feel up to the task, but it must get done.

Even though nothings going on here activity wise, I feel like the days have been very busy.
Christmas was great – very relaxing. We really took her time opening presents bc not only did we go overboard this year but my family and Mh’s family sent their gifts here so we opened a few, played a little, ate some food, and then went back and did it again a bunch of times.
We took down Christmas yesterday and today attacked different areas of the house while the kids were entertained with their toys.
The stunt shot remote controlled cars are the biggest hits. They have these big soft wheels, and I don’t mind them using them around the house.
I broke all my own rules and let’s play room stay a mess for the last few days while we figure out where everything goes. I try to stack everything to the edges of the room, but organized it is not.

I ended up putting away all the Christmas decor. Normally I wait until after new year but I was ready. Plus I wanted to get the jumperoo out for V and I was waiting until after the tree was gone. I forgot how much space all the baby crap takes up.

I'm loving this stay-cation. Just what we needed. M and I went shopping to get stuff for the rat cage. MH will assemble it tomorrow. Got a few more things organized and put away today. Bit by bit trying to get the house in order. Madison is super excited about the rats.

I dont think I checked in yesterday. We had Christmas with my in laws. We did brunch because A had to work today and gets up so early. Everyone got here at 10am. My inlaws left at 8pm.... it was a long day but fun. I also used the ice-cream maker A got me for Christmas. Super easy and it was the best ice cream ever!
