C woke up at 5:45 so we all got up. He was pretty thrilled with all of the gifts. I told him a few were from me and dad in case he wanted to exchange. I’m glad I did because he didn’t seem quite as excited for the Garmin watch we gave him so we are returning it and he already placed an Amazon order for something else. Otherwise he loved everything.
Shockingly we still have power. We are stopping over at my parents and C is opening their gifts masked in the garage then it’s back home. I think I may not make him get dressed and just bring him in pjs.

Merry Christmas all! The kids woke us up early and were excited about all their gifts. We went to the ILs for brunch and to open presents and now we’re back home. I am going to take a nap with Viv in a little bit while DH and the girls watch SOUL. We will just relax at home for the rest of the day. tgrimes I hope she makes a full recovery |

MJ was sick yesterday. Threw up a bunch and then just feverish and not feeling well. We were up alot last night but her fever broke around 4am. A couldn't sleep so he got up at 6 and video taped the boys reaction and let MJ and I sleep. She woke at 7 and we did presents. She slept through presents with my mom yesterday so it was fun to see her tearing into them. She loves everything. We've had breakfast and lunch and its after 3 and she won't nap.. the boys are getting hateful, I think I may make them lay down too for a bit.

Merry Christmas everyone!
We have had a whirlwind few days. MH’s birthday was the 23rd. That morning he got a call that his grandma had passed away from COVID. They weren’t close, hadn’t seen or talked to her since his moms funeral 5 years ago. But I can tell he feels a little sad.
Yesterday we drove to STL for Xmas celebrations with the family. Stayed the night, then back home today. Now MH has headed to AR to his business because he has clients coming in tonight. Sierra and I are staying home the next few days to de-Christmas the house and catch up on laundry. Then we will go join him in AR on Tuesday after S’s therapy.

tgrimes I hope she recovers quickly. Is her husband able to visit? Yes. They’re rotating her H and sister between the hospital and who is taking care of Adelaide. Her H’s parents are flying in today to help. She used to be a nicu nurse, so that’s helpful. |

Merry Christmas everyone!
B was up at 6:30 and but let us sleep for a bit, they are both so excited for all their gifts. Opened everything except for my Mom’s which we facetimed for, the kids went bananas over all the stuff she got them, and she was so surprised and loved her puzzle, of course she was far too generous with us as well.
All the food is prepped and chopped with the cabbage rolls and spiral ham in the oven, I’m sitting and having a drink eating a plate of appetizer food and desserts while watching Christmas shows. The kids are rotating and playing with all their new stuff.

Got a mis-sexed male to join my girls so he had his own cage for a bit until I got more boys for him to have buddies. MacGyver, Pippin, and Sponge were my boy crew. Pudge and Pickles were my girls. |

According to my google search, we should get 2 females. Caveat, mice are different and my main experience is with with rats. For rats, males tend to be calmer. I don't think you can go wrong either sex as long as they are both the same. 2-3 are actually easier than 1 because they entertain each other. Cleaning the cage is still the same amount of work. You can try pan training them but it might not work. Wire bars are tough on their little feet so if that's the kind of cage you have get some sort of covering to line it (tiles from a hardware store, hard plastic sheeting from a craft store, fleece). I gave them things like empty tissue boxes (or anything of similar size) and toilet paper rolls to play with and chew up. When playing with them outside the cage the kids should be in the bedroom or somewhere contained with the door shut in case they get loose. My rats could roam free and would come when called once they got a little older. My hamsters would constantly run away. So at least until you know with the mice that's a safer bet. When you give them treats don't give it to them through the bars, open the door and hand it to them. Otherwise it trains them to grab through the bars. I hope your kids have so much fun with them! Be sure to tell us what they name them. |

Confession since it's Friday and a religious holiday is a good time to come clean. I stayed up until 2 am 2 nights in a row to create a Schitt's Creek family on my Sims and the Rosebud Hotel. It is complete and I am happy with it. Madison recognized who they were right away.

Praying for your niece tgrimes. Im glad she has a loved one with her, she has to be so scared. Its 615 and evie is in pjs snuggled under a blanket on the sofa, watching her tablet. She went hard all day, but is wiped out, as we all are. H wanted me to go pick up Chinese for dinner since I'm not cooking with all the leftovers. But evie needed to eat so we could give her her meds before she falls asleep, so leftovers win. I expect her to be in bed asleep by 7. |

Remember my niece who asked M to be in her wedding a few years ago? She just had a baby last week. Now she’s in the icu. Her blood pressure is 90/30 & her kidneys aren’t working. They think she has sepsis and a UTI. The baby is fine. Please send all the good vibes/thoughts & prayers her way. My gosh. All the good vibes, Ts&Ps her way. Did she ever leave the hospital or did she end up having to go back? |

I’m just getting a chance to check in. M popped up at 7 and I told him to lay back down. He did without a fuss and fell back to sleep. I was surprised when we all woke up at 930. Lol.
Last night when we brought out all the gifts MIL said I bought way too much. Lol silly Nana.... it’s been a weird year and it’s winter. They need all the things to keep them occupied and have a bright spot in all ....[waves hands] this. The boys loved everything.
I just set up the switch and went to add some games and apparently the server may be overloaded because my games won’t download on my Home Screen. I thought I was doing something wrong, but a quick google search and it’s not me, it’s them (Nintendo). I should have bought a physical game so M could play.

Merry Christmas, friends! We’ve had a fun and relaxing day. We were up by 7 and opened presents. N had a skateboard on her list but I didn’t even consider it because it’s winter and I thought she’d never figure it out. She’s been talking about it more and more the past few days so needless to say, I could tell she was a bit disappointed when the “big box” wasn’t a skateboard (Barbie camper instead). But I told her she could save her money and buy one this summer and once she got the camper out of the box, she thought it was pretty cool.
Homemade cinnamon rolls for breakfast and fondue courses for lunch and dinner... dessert course coming soon! We’re on our third movie of the day (watching soul, cute so far!) and about to put L to bed.
