I’m not sure how C and I got talking about his future adult life but he had a lot to say and it was a fun conversation. I thought it may be fun to ask the kids and share the responses to some of the areas we covered.

What will you be when you grow up?
An Army guy
Where will you live?
Everywhere because you have to move a lot when you are Army.
Will you be married? Do you know who it will be to yet? He blushed and said don’t tell anyone! It’s Simone! (This is the kissy face girl from preschool.)
How many kids do you want? What are their names? 5 kids. 1 set of boy girl twins and then 1 other girl and 2 boys. When I asked about names he immediately responded witty Eliza for one of the girls, which is a beautiful name. Then he went on to Benjamin and Mark. The other may be Ashley and John but he’s not sure yet.
What pets will you have? “If the girls want a bunny we will have a bunny.” Then he said a cat and a dog. The dog will be a lab.
What does your house look like? 8 bedrooms that includes one room reserved for when someone has nightmares. Indoor pool and hot tub. Huge outdoor pool when the kids are in 7th grade (very specific). He also told me they will get cell phones at 9 but can’t bring them to school until 12.
Can I live with you? “Ummm maybe”

He was pretty non-committal on this one, though he did confirm that his kindergarten gf is still his favorite girl in his class. He definitely has no real crushes or real interest in girls (or boys) yet

One cat, which is funny because he's scared of cats.
What does your house look like?
Purple and yellow, i.e., Vikings themed

Apparently policeman Chase is going to live in a blue and yellow house in Jacksonville with God, their 100 kids, and a pet alligator. I am welcome to join them.

What pets will you have? Water cobra, python and rattlesnake. Oh and a kind of lizard that's called a kimono dragon.
What does your house look like? It will just be a hotel. But a hotel with a pool and some water slides.
Can I live with you? (Loooong pause) if you want to. But you'd be scared of the snakes and stuff. Or I can live here. Or you can maybe just stay a few nights.

wineallthetime, I really like L's kids names, how she mixed regular names with Lamp and String lol I haven't asked my kids yet, but S has declared that he doesn't like romance so when he grows up he plans to adopt his kids. Although a long time ago, he said he was gonna marry a little girl from DC. She was at his camp this summer and apparently she and some other girls started planning their wedding. They picked bridesmaids, planned the meal (pizza), decided on her dress (multiple dresses, including her ballet costume) and even made up invitations and invited some of the counselors. S was into it at first, then got really mad and didn't want to talk about it at all and wanted her to stop. I think that's where his aversion to romance comes from lol

All you do is make sandwiches, get milk or lemonade, cut up fruit etc. No thanks!’ Curious to see what he think now that baby girl is here  . |
