Speaking of the vaccine, my sister, in her true crazy form, is trying to convince my mom, a high risk person, not to get the vaccine and to really read about it and not just listen to what you hear from the media about what's really in it. Because I'm sure whatever fringe, crazy podcast she's following is more legit than WAPO, NY Times, CNN, CBS News, ABC News, NBC News, medical experts around the world, etc.

This will surprise no one, but one of my bosses said I should wait until Cadence is older and let her decide for herself if she wants the vaccine. Oh, and he still believes China gave us covid intentionally.
Why did I stay here again? I think it's just so I can feel smart every day next to these dingbats.

wedding I wear Ododos High Waist Yoga Pants, you can get them on Amazon. They're very soft, but lots of tummy control. The pocket is on the leg, but my phone has never had an issue staying in place. I think they run true to size. They're about $20-25 a pair.

One of my coworkers said today that he isn’t getting it because he isn’t high risk and he is skeptical of the mRNA component. He thinks he will have another kid and he doesn’t want that kid to come out with an extra ear or anything. 🙄 Yep. You heard that right.

Today was my day to go to the office, so it was a busy morning. I was actually on my elliptical for 20 minutes while on a call that was a waste of my time. I never had to speak the entire 45 minute call, so I wish I had gotten on the call sooner!

My mom picked Evie up from school for me, so that was nice.

H's program was pretty entertaining. He misbehaved a little bit but for the most part he participated and did all of the hand motions. At the end, all of them sang jingle bells and some of the girls were basically screaming it. H put his hands over his ears and stopped singing. Lol.

At least he wasn't the kid laying upside down on the stairs.

The good news is I got my travel vouchers from last December extended. I didn’t want to lose the credits so I have until next year this time to book something with them. Hopefully we can do a trip next fall or early 2022. Oh please let me be able to travel by then.

I want to scream. My boss' boss basically gave me a cop-out response (I asked if he'd call me so we could discuss telework) saying my boss needs to be given a chance to address the matter. I have asked my boss on several occasions and he hasn't done thing. We completed paperwork and training in MAR and then again in SEP because he lost it and he hasn't moved it forward. I'm trying to come up with a response that isn't too dickheaded but I'm really over it. Our admin and supervisors do nothing for us and we clean up after them all the time. This is the only thing I'd asked for in 8 years and basically it amounts to a signature.

The neuromuscular specialist today is thinking Sierra’s motor neuropathy may actually be CIDP (Chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyneuropathy). If so it could open so many doors for treatment options. So more tests have been ordered, also adding another specialist to our list...we will be seeing a pediatric rheumatologist in a few weeks. Aside from S’s recent alopecia diagnosis, they think she has raynauds syndrome as well. We’ve had some instances at school where her hand turned blue and I have since noticed it in her feet too. So his hope is that with them on board too for the autoimmune issues we could possibly see how all these things tie together.

So...doesn’t someone here, maybe more than 1 have Raynauds? Maybe joelies or wedding? I can’t remember. Just curious if you have any tips for when it pops up.

lfig - I have had rheynauds my whole life. It impacts my toes a bit - they heal slowly - but it's always been my fingers that are awful. When I was little and would end up in pain after going sledding, my parents thought I was being a baby and we're so mean about it. Whoops. You can "treat" it with blood pressure meds but my BP is already low, so it's never been an option for me.

I spent years wearing ski gloves all winter for running/skiing and still ending up in rough shape. I ended up getting a $30 pair of REI fleece lined mittens last year or the year before and it's been life changing! I ran for well over an hour this morning in 19F and was totally comfortable. No pain, no need to defrost after.

Also forget shirts with thumb holes - they cut off the circulation to my thumbs and then they hurt. And any sort of finger prick, like when donating blood, requires extensive massaging in advance. My sister explained the reasoning behind that and it was over my head with no medical background, but it's a thing.

Also hi. We are also settled in for the storm. Daycare is already at least delayed and Col's teacher has a fun day of PJs and hot cocoa mixed in with lessons for the kids. I'm just hoping not to lose power and internet, mostly because I have a client-facing webinar that I don't trust anyone else to deliver.

I have exciting plans to start wrapping tonight and other than that, we're in good shape for next week!!

Then all the sudden this afternoon my boss texts us to say tomorrow we'll talk about TW. So clearly his boss contacted him after I emailed him. What a spineless puss. Too afraid to talk to me or actually be a boss. I know that my boss is an idiot and keeps holding back on full TW so I was hoping to go through someone who isn't a moron.

wedding I really like the athleta elation tight. Kind of spendy though. I’ve heard really good things about the aerie offline leggings, there are different compression/activity levels, and want to try those out eventually.

I looked at Athleta and fell over at the prices! Maybe if I was a gym rat. I have the Aerie offline leggings but they are cotton. They do tighten things up a bit. I’ll see if they have the stretchy workout material ones.

I got mine on sale a while back so if you’re not in a hurry I’m sure you could find them on sale again. I just went to the aerie website and apparently they’ve renamed their stuff again. That is one super annoying thing about that store, you find something you like and then they change the name. I’m so mad. I was looking at my notifications and saw a Starbucks receipt. I didn’t go there today so I went on the app to look, some asshole in NY stole my gift card number that I’ve had for like 7 years and wiped my card. I emailed them and I better get my money back. They also used some of my star points so I better get those back too.

That sucks so much. MH got a notification from his credit card company Monday that someone was ubering around The Netherlands on his card all night but at least we do not have to pay for that.

My mom has it so I don't really know what she does. I'm sorry. She is on meds for her rheumatoid arthritis but I don't know if that helps or not.
