Bummer, nam2013. C is virtual the rest of the school year (and has been all year)... So weird it'll be like 1.5 years of not going to school by the time he goes back! |

Morning. It’s my only day I’m physically going into work. Then I WFH Tuesday and Thursday and I’m off work Wednesday and Friday. So a short week.

peachsmama that’s exactly it! Poor kids, but I’m also (selfishly) a little bummed about yet another adjustment during pregnancy/leave. I shouldn’t complain one bit, but I was looking forward to the mornings alone/with dh. No more lazy breakfasts with Christmas movies during the day 😕.

I’m glad it’s Monday, back to normalcy. H was dragging her feet this morning and didn’t want to go to school. I have a feeling S is going to be the same. They only have a week and a half before break, why can’t they just go willingly? I need to run to target after I drop S off at school this morning. Probably Aldi too. Otherwise it’ll probably mostly be a picking up/cleaning day.

Last school week before break for Cadence. I'm back to my normal work schedule since coworker's daughter tested negative.
Caught my cat taking candy canes off the tree, so that's fun. And it explains the candy canes in the hallway each morning. 🤦

I need to place a grocery pickup today, mail the rest of the christmas cards , attempt to work while keeping H home. He has a snotty nose (snottier than usual. lol) so I'm going to steam shower him several times today and make sure he's blowing his nose a lot.

Also I'm annoyed that MH bought an entire butternut squash instead of buying the already cut up stuff. I freakin hate peeling and chopping butternut.

Cancel my post about work. I got a call right after. Apparently coworker's XFIL (where her daughter is now being watched during the day) went to work and his entire office is shut down due to an outbreak and everyone is being forced to quarantine, so coworker called me in a panic because she needed to go get her daughter. So I rush to work, sort of, and then she takes her sweet time actually leaving.
So, I wiped everything down at the front desk with clorox and I'll be here early all week again. Cadence was...not happy.

Ugh- sorry to hear about the impending lockdown nam2013. When they made the decision to shut down the public schools, it was only supposed to be thru Jan. As far as I’m aware, there has been no plan whatsoever for how they are bringing the kids back to school. Like I’m totally stunned that it’s next month and there is no info (at least not shared w parents or the community). I had a lot of doubt and worry about moving B when we did but I’m so glad we made that decision. |

Thru the month of Dec, B’s school has been doing theme days so the kids can either be totally out of uniform or have some fun accessory, depending on the theme.
Today is “wear bells day.” God bless those teachers. Why on earth would they pick that?!

Cadence does not own any white bottoms though, and she was very frustrated with that fact this morning. Sorry kid, you are way too messy for white. She did have a white glitter reindeer shirt she wore today, and I imagine the sleeves will be really gross by the time I get home.
