The recall Gavin Newsom noise is getting more traction. Enough to get local articles going about it. not sure if it will actually happen or if it will garner enough signatures or attention. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ There's a recall Ducey thing here, but I still can't tell exactly why, I mean he certified the election went to Trump and that started it, but now it's cause he's done either too much or not enough to stem AZ Covid numbers, depending on who you talk to

I don't think I've ever been this anxious for the EC vote. I don’t recall even thinking about it or knowing the date..

OC folks have been on the recall Newsom train since spring. 🙄 I’ve heard the recall noise since his first day in office. I was like um maybe let him govern before you try to recall him? The unmasked party debacle is the first time I’ve really worried about him. I read an article last week saying he’s starting to worry. I think his press conferences need an overhaul. He talks too much and he’s not giving as much data for why certain things are closed. He needs to let the experts speak more. The EDD fraud scandal is alarming and also some of “his” businesses got PPE money which is probably fine but will make people mad. Idk. It’s going to be heating up for him. I don’t think there is enough support for a recall right now but...he needs to be careful.

Dang, I just cried while watching GA cast their votes. Watching Ms. Abrams cast the first vote and lead the vote was so satisfying. And the cheering at the end. Wow.

Hearing this on the radio is one of those things I don't think I'll ever forget. DS forgot something so we had to go back home to get it and he was going to be late to school, which was a 20 min drive. The ladies in the office hadn't heard yet. It makes me so mad we couldn't pass gun control after that.

Small children were murdered and not a single fucking thing was done. Every shooting since, whether in a school or Vegas or whatever, I never felt any hope for change because babies were murdered while learning math and no one lifted a finger. If I think about it too long I get really angry and sad. (I know there have been a lot of grassroots efforts on citizens' parts but I'm talking executive power)

When I heard about his dinner scandal I was like, come on man, you had recall targets on your back forever. Don’t give them ammo. The PPE money is a bad look, but I thought they were in a blind trust, though I don’t remember exactly. It sucks for him because CA is a mess and huge, so it’s hard to govern this many varying places.

Republican Adam Kinzinger has been making a lot of anti-Trump noise for a while. I agree he's staking out a position in a post-Trump party, and I honestly hope that the Republican party, or a spin off, survivesf their infatuation with the Tea Party and Trump. I don't like a one-party system (and I grew up in Chicago LOL!), and I don't think a third party would be anything more than a spoiler in the near term. www.politico.com/news/2020/12/05/adam-kinzinger-trump-criticism-443043

A bunch of Michigan GOP Electors showed up today and tried to get into the building. They’re not threaded, but this reporter posted several videos of the interaction. Wild.

Enough to get local articles going about it. not sure if it will actually happen or if it will garner enough signatures or attention. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I know that government by the people is a good thing, but I have issues with California's initiative, referendum, and recall system. I'm not convinced initiatives have been good for the state and recalls just seem like a way to undo fair elections.

Counting down the days. *sigh* One rapist pardoning another. Shock. Had it gotten that far, he'd have pardoned Epstein. He is bereft of justice.
