So I was going to take the kiddos to one of those drive thru Christmas light displays. I’m glad I looked at the website before announcing it to them .... 2hr+ wait times! No thank you 😑

I finished wrapping all the kids christmas gifts yesterday. No bows yet because of where I have to stash them all. I'll put bows on christmas eve. What are y'all doing for stocking stuffers? I got them both bath bombs and a skittles candy cane. M is getting Pokémon cards, a new dog man book, and a set of beyblades. M2- binoculars, a movie, and a sticker book. I think that’s it. Oh I did bath bombs too!

We sent the big kids to MH's parents and finally opened all the boxes of Christmas gifts. Whew! Realized C's look like not a lot compared to the others so ordered a couple more things for him! While I was out to grab a few things Mh texted me that he was taking the boys to the park, so I hurried back home to go through all the gifts. I have plenty for each kid. Phew! And SIL sent them so much, too. I HAVE to do a toy purge this week if I get any days off. MUST. DO. I need to toy purge SO bad.

We don’t do stockings but I do a bunch of small things mixed in the hannukah gifts. S so far has loved the Skip bo, ninja bath bomb, Star Wars chap stick & books. B loves blind bags of little Legos, books, etc

Speaking of skip bo - I never heard of it before. S is obsessed and I actually enjoy it too. We’ve been playing it a ton.

Various Christmas candies, goldfish crackers L got a death Vader talking action figure and E got a Tiana Barbie doll with the extra clothes. I think they each got something else from Santa but I can’t remember. We wrapped everything back in November.

There was a long wait at Target just to get in the door. I’m so glad I did drive up. I would not wait in a line just to get inside.

I’ll do it for his Easter basket.

Stocking stuffers: candy, ear buds, Star Wars Light saber chop sticks (pure foolishness), and a plastic puzzle snake (I have no idea what it's called but that is the best way I can describe it).

Oh, and I also got them bells for their bikes and magnetic Putty for stockings.
Negative to wrapping. When I was a kid stockings were always fair game to dig into before my mom woke up. So when I was up at 5 I at least had something to tide me over. We also normally just got candy though and not too many trinkets in our stockings.

Every year I look forward to how everyone runs the holidays in their houses and what it was like for them growing up. Stockings are dead last in our house.

My family used to play Skip Bo for money. If there was a family gathering you needed to remember to bring your change. $1 buy in and everyone put in a dime when you reached 12. You could actually walk away with quite a bit of money.

The last of the gifts arrived when we were out today. So I think I'll wrap more in the next couple of days.

I’ll have to try that one too inthekitty. I guess my family didn’t play any of those. We had regular cards and uno and games like Life and Checkers. I just assumed these were all new but I guess not!.

No thank you 😑 Yup, wish mine had a wait time listed. We went 2 years ago and just drove right in. Today, once we were in line, there was no way out. We left home at 4:30, arrive at 5:14, and finished at 8:47. Had 4 kids and the dog since we were heading to the beach from there. There was no food at the beach and I was getting nervous we wouldn’t find dinner because not a lot is open here right now. Thankfully, the pizza place was open until 10. Last night my 13 year old got out of bed to say he saw the FDA gave the green light on the vaccine so could I take him to get it in the morning.

Also, T saved the day because he packed 4 bags of I didn’t know what. Everyone started whining they were hungry and it turned out one of his bags was full of goldfish and cookies.
