If I can’t get it to print right I’m going to have to buy a new printer. Annoying, but this one is like 12 years old so it’s probably time. Nothing else planned for today except work this evening. Cross all your fingers and toes that V does better for my ILs tonight.

jewels if i wanted to send something to a teacher that was not at school/or when school was closed I sent it to the administration with enough stamps on a blank envelope & they would forward it to the teacher. Maybe that could work?

I always get teachers Target GCs when they do the 10% off deal. I usually add something to that like cozy socks, a sweet treat, lotion or lip balm. Keeps it easy for me year after year.

I don't think our admin would be too excited about that.  However, I think even though the kids aren't in school, I think she is teaching from school.  so I could probably drop something off and email her to let her know it was outside or something.  Or just do an e-gift card.

After I pick Cadence up from dance tonight we're going to swing by my coworker's place to drop off a bag of Christmas activities for her kids since they are stuck in quarantine.

I like the audible idea wineallthetime. Do you think they could get an airbnb for that period of time? I’m sure being home is more comfortable but with nausea, driving that much everyday sounds horrible. If they do go for that then maybe it something you can pitch into or get a local restaurant or grocery GC.

I don't think they would. My mom did mention maybe staying with me or my sister if they roads are bad. I wish they'd just stay at my sister's house like Mon-Fri. Obviously I'd be happy for them to stay here too but my sister has a guest room and one quiet toddler. I have no guest room (but would give them my room of course) and 3 loud children haha

No, she doesn’t. If she is that anxious about it we just won’t show up that day. It’s not till next wed so I will just see how it goes for the next week.

I’m planning to do e-gift cards to Amazon for the teachers.

Getting ready to take DD for a 1 year follow up at the cardiologist. The office is where traffic sucks and she has several tests to do so we will be gone a while. We need to see if the heart value defect they found last year has self-repaired. I’m a little nervous because they did not say what happens if it hasn’t.

I share your synopsis with these although Vanessa Hudgens doesn't bother me. Cass couldn't wait to watch that one.

I don't think I updated yesterday after B's conference

Teacher agrees B needs some help with listening and transitions, and said she thinks some OT would help him. But she said he is doing great academically and socially (I was worried his immaturity was an issue, as it had been over the summer, with him not really "playing" with the other kids, but she said he is right in the mix with everyone). She also said he has the best manners. That even when he is refusing to do things (which is the biggest problem), he always says "no thank you". So at least that's something.

I reached out to his Pedi to see what they recommended. But I probably will not start the process till January b/c my insurance changes Jan 1 and that will just be a pain in the butt

My state's lockdown was extended through some point in JAN. I think at some point we'll "eat out" by getting take out and just eating in our car or park so we can go to restaurants a little further away and still have the food be hot. It looks like the ski resorts are still open for now so I'll see if I can book something Christmas break. I hope they are still doing lessons because the kids have never gone and I'd much rather have someone else teach them. Cass isn't very athletic and she needs someone aside from me motivating her.

That's good news jewels. I'm glad you guys have a plan. It'd probably take a few weeks to get started with something anyway so probably just easier to start fresh the new year. I'm glad he's doing well in regards to academics and socialization.

I love love love my h being home, but he’s cramping me watching sappy Christmas movies... I mean he said I should just do it, but he’ll sit on the couch reading the paper and commenting (rightfully) on the sappiness of the movies.

Hi. The last couple days have flown by. I spent yesterday making the annual family Shutterfly calendar for my parents and Finally ordering some of our family pics for the grandparents and a few frames around our house. Psa there is a Groupon for Shutterfly calendars, so I scored a good deal and managed free shipping, even though it took a while to configure all the promo codes. Ha.

I’m mostly done Christmas shopping, just have to figure out my parents still. They are so hard to shop for.

Chicken wild rice soup is in the crockpot and o can’t wait for dinner. Yum.

Thanks girls, the appointment went well. She still has the issue but the doctor doesn’t believe it will ever cause symptoms or require intervention. We go back in 3 years for a recheck so that’s good.

Hahaha true! I think this is my h with the Gilmore girls, seeing New England and wishing he could go there in the fall. I promised him we’d go just the two of us for our 30th wedding anniversary, used to be 25th, but we blew that opportunity by having a third kid .

Re: teacher gifts, I usually do around $25 each. Our preschool director had the teachers put together a list of their 'favorites' at the beginning of the school year so hopefully that will offer some guidance! Will prob. just do gift cards for B's. 

C's school is doing Christmas programs by class v. one big performance, so they've been going on for the last week or so. Each child can have two guests on their day and seating is spaced out in the fellowship hall. Usually there's cookies/punch afterward but obviously not this year. Regardless, I'm here for it...C's is Friday and one of her class' songs is "Happy Birthday Jesus"; those cute little voices hitting the high note always sound like howling wolves. It's my favorite part.

I swear I spend more time playing with promo codes on that site than I do creating the item! Your card came today and it’s beautiful! The back is my favorite so I put it backwards on the door 😊
