I'm glad they posted those wish lists - with the number of boxes arriving daily, I was feeling kind of guilty. We've been trying to donate locally as much as we can but it's always nice to help a little more.

vino it also feels weird for me too to think we're really doing this. This will be in the history books someday. I still get annoyed and upset by all the people who don't care about others getting it/dying from it. It's shameful. I know it'd never take off here in the US because there's so many people who won't wear masks when this is in full swing, but I'd actually really like it if masks remained a thing. We've definitely had fewer colds and since reality is people can't remain home every time they have the sniffles, masking up like they routinely do when they have a cold in many Asian countries would be awesome.

We decorated our tree which was nice but I kinda forgot about all the sentimental ornaments like Just Married, our first house, ornaments MH and I have given each other over the years.... So that was a bit depressing.

jewels Hope you get some ideas from the conference and you get the resources he may need. I know dealing with this in the time of a pandemic may add an extra layer of difficulty and that sucks.

vino Hope J is negative. We decorated last night also and I, too live the ambient light. Apparently M2 does too, because he just walked over to the tree and plugged it in. Lol.

Morning.

I kept up with the thread yesterday, but didn’t have the wherewithal to post. It was weird. When I hit reply, it was like I couldn’t find the words. I think I was just overwhelmed with house cleaning. I did a lot in of cleaning yesterday, mostly the common areas, but haven’t touched the rooms. I still feel like I have a lot to do. Also did a bunch of laundry.

Today I’ll start on the rooms and I have some errands to run. Maybe try to squeeze in a workout, too.

Hi girls. Sinterklaas went back home, all the presents are in, so the kids are a lot more relaxed! The scooters where a huge surprise, and they played a lot with them today!

My grandma came over today to meet baby girl, it was the first time I saw her inside since February. We’re close and I/we normally see her once a month at least, so it was nice. The kids were in awe that she could come in. We all kept our distance, but I saw in her eyes that she wanted to hold baby girl so much, so I let her for a few minutes, everybody else has time, who knows how much longer my grandma will be around (she’s 87). She cried so much, all I wanted to do was hug her (I didn’t do it off course). I made a very short video of her and dd2, that I will treasure.

I can only hope that we will be given time to make more memories with lots of cuddles & hugs.

I feel like I did so much today. C and I had a long battle outside pretending to be fortnite characters. I don’t know a think about it but I did enjoy using the nerf bow and arrow. Then we went for a bike ride to one of the schools that has a cool playground. We were alone for a long time and then 5 middle school aged boys showed up but were playing football 3 out of 5 had their masks off. Then a family of four came to play on the playground and no one had a mask. So we left there and I yelled to the boys that their moms gave them masks and they should be on their faces. I really enjoyed their panicked faces as they put their masks on. They are probably worried I know their moms.

After that we played elsewhere and then we did some trails in the woods and came back muddy and gross. It was a lot of fun but it was so cold, I don’t know if I will warm up!

lfig I'm sorry about the stress/disconnect with school, therapy, etc. It sounds like everyone involved is willing to take a very hands on, collaborative approach so I hope that will help.

Coworker's daughter was exposed at daycare, so now they are quarantined for the next two weeks. She man's the front desk the first two hours in the morning before I get there. So when she emailed that she would be out I replied that I would work all day if necessary. No one responded.
So now I guess I'll go in at 8, but I have an office grocery pick up at 10 and Wednesday morning I have pt.
We'll see what happens.

Oh and the pharmacy called my doctor to get my singular refilled and whatever dr they called refused. Wtf??? I need it for both my allergies and asthma. Why would you say no to that? So I have a message in to my doctor, but I swear if she refuses to refill it even though I just saw her last month I'm going to be pissed.

It was another full couple days, I am already looking forward to next weekend when we have *nothing* on the calendar (and I am keeping it that way!)

B's party went well. He got some great gifts, the food and cake were good, and I think everybody had fun. The kids went to bed way late, of course, and slept til 8 this morning.

Today we had the Santa brunch at my parents' country club; we really liked the Covid set-up and I hope it continues that way in the future, ha. Both kids talked to Santa and he passed out wrapped gifts we had dropped off earlier. (I went old-school with a LiteBrite for C and Speak 'N Spell for B). After that my dad took B to Top Golf for some 'guy time', while C and I helped my mom work on their tree. We finally got home around 5, had leftovers, and I put the kids down early. I've been tidying, started some laundry, and am now working on Christmas card ordering.

All 3 start simultaneously and they finish at the end of February/early March. The I graduate and then start my MBA. I also will be taking my PMP Certificate sometime after March but before fall.

MH and I usually watch tv separately in the evenings, for a couple reasons like we both like our ‘me’ time and we watch completely different shows.

Tonight he’s decided to sit on the couch 5 feet from me and mess around on his phone while eating from what feels like the never ending chip bowl while I watch Christmas in Evergreen. What gives H, take your chips and go find some zombies or war shows to watch 😉
