Good morning! My dad's surgery took forever but went well. They didn't get as much as they hoped because the tumer is deeper than they originally thought. Hopeful speech (and one of his legs???) weren't affected but time will tell. He went for an MRI around 1am so curious to hear what that showed.

Hi! I have the best of intentions some days but finding 5 minutes to check in has seemed nearly impossible lately. We have been go-go-go since DH left; I may be doing *too* good of a job trying to keep us busy. Hoping we can decompress a bit this month. The kids are doing well, though...we've been able to FaceTime with DH a good bit and we sent a Christmas box so they were excited to do that. I bought a 10' Christmas tree (nicknamed 'the Beast') on Friday and just finished it last night at 11 (after multiple trips for more ornaments, etc). It almost killed me, lol, but it's done. I do need to get my T'giving stuff put away, though! My house is having a bit of a holiday identity crisis right now. Ballet on the agenda for us today, and my parents are bring Chick Fil A for lunch since they're doing a fundraiser benefitting our preschool (clearly my kind of fundraiser!) nam2013 I missed the big day but big congratulations on your little one!! Hope you are recovering well and feeling good. |

Glad to hear your dad's surgery went well wineallthetime. Did your mom end up driving all the way home? I hope she also rested well. Happy birthday peachsmama! Nothing exciting here. Evie is at school, I need to try to get our Christmas cards picked up since I didn't make it yesterday. Third time is the charm hopefully for someone putting up our Christmas lights today and I need to call to check the status of the part for our washer since I haven't heard from them since Wednesday. |

Good morning! Lots of things happening here that are keeping me home bound: new toilets are being installed, new light fixture in the playroom, landscapers are here doing the final final cleanup, and a company is coming to give us an estimate on a new basement floor and ceiling
I don’t know if I mentioned it, but I’ve been in moderate pain the last few weeks, thinking it was just a pulled muscle, but turns out that it’s sciatica. It’s fine when I’m walking around but it wakes me up in the middle of the night and I can’t sit for long periods of time without sharp cramping. I’ve been taking high-dose Motrin and doing the stretches, but nothing is helping so I went to the ortho yesterday and he put me on prednisone and told me to continue with the stretches. He’s hopeful the combination will put me right in the next week.

mwhip, she did drive home! We zoomed with wine at 10:30 so she could update us. She just got an update that he's sitting up and eating! Nurse is shocked he says he has no pain. He is having a hard time with finding words and getting frustrated. They wouldn't let him have his phone or anything so I'll take that to him tomorrow which will be good.

Cadence woke up at 3 to let me know she heard elf feet running through the house. 😑
She then joined me in bed and woke me up periodically to ask when my alarm was going to go off.
My neck and shoulder are killing me so I'm looking forward to tomorrow's pt. It had been going well and we were talking about ending soon. Moving furniture over the holiday was clearly not the smartest idea.

wineallthetime the words will come, the swelling just needs to come down. After my aunt's brain surgery she couldn't move her right side for something like 2 days because of all the swelling. I'm glad the surgery and recovery are going well.

I'm glad the surgery and recovery are going well. The surgeon did warn that it'll get worse before it gets better. |

I’m glad he is doing well wineallthetime. I am sure not being able to speak the words he wants to say is super frustrating. Hopefully it is just for a short time. Happy Birthday @peachesmama! How old are you now? I’m thinking 26? Either way I know you are younger than me! klong11 I always do something stupid that causes my shoulder or back to flair. I hate not being able to do things but I just can’t without pain for days. I should probably bring that up to my Dr. I hate that I have to ask Dh to bring up a 40lb bag of cat litter when I used to be able to carry a 65lb dog up and down three flights of stairs multiple times a day 😞. I hope you get some relief tomorrow. |

Yesterday I finally ordered our holiday cards. I usually spend so much time with different pictures, and adjusting and editing. this year I literally picked a card I liked and popped a few pictures in there. Let's hope it doesn't show lol.

wedding right? I built all the other shelves and furniture in our house, why is this one killing me? I did however tell the guys at work I can't move boxes because of my shoulder. They've volunteered to move them all off-site for me. 😁

Morning. Ds was up for a long time last night, he was nauseous and complained about an ear ache, we let him sleep in this morning and luckily he woke up completely fine. Baby girl wants to nurse every two hours, so she’s keeping me busy. A lot of well checks are being done by phone, so I ordered a baby scale to keep track of her growth.
