I’m tired but can’t go back to sleep. My goals today are to clean the living room, dining room and kitchen to prepare for tomorrow. I also need to work on school work and finish sending out E’s thank you cards. Let’s see what I can get done.

Morning! My SIL may get to go home today after her last IV dose of the meds. If my brother doesn't feel up to going to get her, I told him I could help, but I know he will get her.
I'm taking Evie to get blood work done this morning then spend her Barnes & Noble gift card on Junie B Jones books. The washing machine repair guy is supposed to be here between 12 and 4 today, fingers crossed it's a cheap fast fix.

Morning. I’m having my coffee then we have to get ready because I have to run out to pick up the ham and a pecan pie. Hoping it’s not too busy out this morning, but I know that’s just wishful thinking. mwhip Glad your SIL is doing well enough to hopefully return home today! FX the washer is an easy fix, too.

lahdeedah I went to the store yesterday and somehow forgot to grab bacon, even though it was on my list. So I need to go back for that. With Evie, which means I'll end up with a bunch of other shit I don't really need. I'm pretty annoyed with myself.

I’m living vicariously through all your wonderful meal prep! Baby girl does not want to be put down today, but she’s too cute, so I’m enjoying all the newborn snuggles to the fullest. My midwife stopped by for a check up visit and ask me if I was ready to go outside again... physically yes! Mentally, please no. It’s nice to not see face masks all the time, having to stress about distance when walking on the streets/in shops, seeing all the closed coffe places etc. So, please let me stay in my ‘non-COVID world’ bubble for a few more days .

I ran out this morning to get stouffers baked Mac n cheese. I wanted to go before the stores got crazy. It was fine, they had what I needed and I walked right up to the self checkout, no line. And the in store sbux was doing $1 off any of the featured holiday bevs, so another win for me.
Other than that, I’m working while B plays outside w neighborhood kids.

Morning! I’m food prepping today. Am I weird that I like to have everything done ahead of time? If it was just us, I’d do it morning of, but with in-laws here tomorrow I just want as much done as possible. Plus it’s a good way to see how much time everything actually takes. I started at 8 and have the mashed potatoes and sweet potato casserole ready for finishing steps tomorrow, frosting made for cinnamon rolls and about to start the pumpkin pie. Still need to make dinner rolls. And I have everything cleaned up that I’ve used, which is the worst part of cooking... and all while wrangling L who is such a tornado. We’ve never had baby gates in our house, but I’m tempted to get some for this kid.
We’re going to brine the turkey overnight and Dh will put it on the smoker at like 5am.
It’s cold and cloudy today but we might go for a walk later with my sister and kids since we haven’t seen them in weeks and everyone is finally out of quarantine.

Morning. MH came home last night and it was after the kids went to bed thank goodness, it's the worst when he rolls in riiiiight at bedtime. They both got to see him this morning so they were happy. He had to go into work regular timings and I'm just working from home. Woke up feeling kinda crappy but then started to feel better once I had breakfast and started moving around.

There were short lines everywhere I went and only had to wait like 10-15 min, so not bad! Just getting us smoothies for the ride home and I’ll start cooking a few things early this afternoon. Hoping to see my grandparents later outside at their house.

slenle, I think that makes the most sense. You want to be able to enjoy tmrw w your family, not run around prepping stuff. I say get as much done as you can today (which is sounds like you have!).

Had early pt, then went to the office to take apart some shelving to bring home. Then I ran some errands to pick up advent calendar fillers, etc. We are also doing an elf this year, mostly because I want Cadence thinking someone is watching her and her attitude and reporting back to the person she holds in the highest regard....Santa. lol

My parents disinvited us to Thanksgiving. It was just our family and my brother coming but the numbers here are bad and we have a few family members with pending tests. No one we have been around, but it puts it close to home. The Governor has also asked that we only celebrate within our household. When I pick up C from care today I am dropping off tupperware that my mom will fill tomorrow and drop off. If it wasn't going to be raining all day, I would be more ok with it. Now it's just another day. I am bummed out but DH and C wont care.
Aside from that just a normal work day.

Well, I didn't need to worry about tomorrow...H's aunt ended up cancelling everything basically. MIL called to tell me that if we wanted to come get food and eat quick, or take home, that was fine, since there is so much food, but they aren't planning on people hanging around, unless it's outside. Sounds like quite a few other families finally got smart and cancelled. I talked to H on his lunch and he decided that was the best choice for us as well, although we won't be going to even get food, so I had to run BACK to the store, since he never agreed to cook the turkey we already HAVE here. So I grabbed a turkey breast, small ham, and cornish game hens, and we can just decide what sounds best for tomorrow. Since we are home all weekend, we have plenty of food.
I told Evie we would make red velvet cheesecake brownies for a dessert, which we will do this afternoon. I have some bananas that need something done with them, so I'm going to make a loaf of banana bread as well. And I grabbed half a pumpkin pie and an apple pie.
If nothing, we will be full and safe.
Evie also got her blood draw done today, which was much worse than last time. She had herself so worked up, the lab tech had to go get someone else to hold her arm while I held her on my lap. She always says it wasn't that bad when she's done. We then went and bought 8 Junie B Jones books, an advent calendar and a new puzzle to do together this weekend.
The washer repair guy came and said it is our water pump...$275 which isn't bad. He said it shows it should deliver to him Saturday, but he has seen a lot of delays so he can't guarantee that. But he said whatever day it delivers to him, he will get here same day to install it. I let my mom know I may need to come over with laundry again this weekend.

Hiiiii. Spent the day in the kitchen making the stuffing and fudge, then I ended up making 5 dozen muffins because I had so much leftover pumpkin after making the fudge. I really want to eat allllll the stuffing.
After I finished, DH and I decided to put the outdoor lights up, but we quickly realized that we were super short on nets - I bought 2 but needed 8. Rookie mistake? So 6 more are coming by early next week, which is a bit disappointing but since it's going to rain tomorrow, we'll put the tree up and decorate inside.
I'm going to pick Chase up shortly so we can start our long weekend together. I may regret that quickly, ha!

Well M's 14 day quarantine ends on Friday and him, J, MJ and I all woke up with symptoms. So since my mom watched them while I got my filling fixed on Monday, she cancelled hers. I told MIL we weren't coming. I placed a grocery delivery order and had them leave it in the garage to avoid contact. So now I'm making a full feast for the 5 of us. But A and I are starting a diet on Monday so we are FEASTING this weekend lol.
Are symptoms are super mild. Sore throat, runny nose and cough. I feel basically fine. Kids are all snot factories. My gut is telling me cold/croup combo but I'm not risking it. We'll have a weekend at home and Saturday M and I will get tested. I really think I have strep and if he has it then the other kids do too. No reason to traumatize them all.

Weaning has not been as awful as I anticipated. I've drank 2 cups of peppermint tea and have gone through a whole head of cabbage. But I'm not engorged or sore at all. So it's working. I've been offering almond milk, water and watered down apple juice. She prefers juice. I took her on car rides to nap but other than a few fits, it hasn't been awful. *knocks on ALL the wood*

Hope it’s just a cold. . peachsmama Weird how you all get cold symptoms on the same day! Sounds like a lot of last minute cancellations. I totally get it. My grandparents decided to stay home, which is for the best, so we’ll drop them food at their house. It will just be us, my mom, and my brother’s fam and we will set up the eating table outside since it’s supposed to be 75. My dad’s cousin just passed today. Not covid, but he had triple bypass recently and never recovered from the procedure. So sad. I spent time around him when I was young, but have not been around that side of the family in years. No hair pats needed. My dad was kind of down yesterday because he found out a work friend from his old job died of Covid and now this. He likes being around the boys because they lift his spirits, so I’m glad we came now.

vino, did you get your covid test back? I may have missed it. No, not yet. Test was yesterday at 10:30am and the response time is anywhere from 2-5 days (I’m not in the healthcare field), I’m expecting it late tomorrow or Friday.
