Morning. TMI, sorry, but I woke up with a little blood loss and it scared the crap out of me. I haven’t had that with either of the other two. My midwife sort of calmed me down, but I still have this nagging feeling. I’ll be glad if this baby it out sound and safe (and open to a whole lot of other risks I know, but still).
Dd was home this morning and provided some distraction. My h came home early to give me a little break, which is sweet.

If it makes you feel any better I had that with C and it turned out to be the start of labor. I had a tiny bit of blood before bed and they said not to worry. Then I woke up at 3am with a lot of blood and went in and all was well but labor was starting. I only mention the lot of blood just in case the same happens for you as well. Keep us posted on how you're doing. |

Morning.
I’m ready to get this work day over just because tomorrow is my day off.
Talked to my mom about our TG menu last night, so I need to make my order for a few things today. It will just be us, my mom, and my brother’s fam. I told my mom we need to send out a disclaimer to be mindful about whereabouts/gathering over this next week. My brother’s teenage stepdaughter had a 16th birthday dinner Monday at a restaurant that my mom went to and she said she thought it was too many people. 🙄 my mom sat at a separate table than the birthday table, but still people come on! 😒

Worked on Cadence's last minute birthday shirt last night. I need to put one last coat of fabric paint on it and it should be done. Then mh says, do you think it's going to stick to the paper stencil you used.....damn it. It better not. I should have used poster board. Oh well, we'll see how it goes.
She's at work with me today. I don't know if it's helping her general morale, but she really enjoys coming and the partners seem to enjoy seeing her. They give her little tasks to do.
She woke me up at 6:30 to let me know we needed to buy her birthday cake today. I reminded her that mh is in charge of her actual birthday day this year, since I handled and paid for her party. She then asked me a million questions about are we sure he can handle it and am I sure I told him about the right cake to get. yes, child, yes.

The doctor never called me yesterday. My dad's nurse today is the same one as yesterday so she said she'd remind him. She got my dad up from the bed and sitting in the chair to eat all 3 of his meals yesterday and said he required minimal help, which is good. The nurse was trying to determine if she thought he was stable on his feet enough to come home and she thought he could do it by himself. He's still on a heavy duty antibiotic for the UTI but she said the doctor could decide to switch it to a different antibiotic that could be taken in pill form rather than IV.
I just need someone to call me back and tell me what the next steps will be. I cancelled my flight today and pushed it back to Sunday.

tgrimes glad things are going in the right direction with your dad. klong11 lol. "Fool" is a term of affection in our household. MH has "fools forever" inscribed on his ring. nam2013 definitely possible signs of baby to come. As gross as the term is, it's called "bloody show." Ew. I also have girl vibes, but am 0/2 with my own so take it with a grain of salt.

My boss is actively avoiding meetings now so he doesn't have to address the state shutdown order. It's pathetic. I've decided I'm giving him one more day and if he flakes out tomorrow I'm going to put a message on Teams asking when we are going to full TW. I want it to be public so he can't blow me off so easily and want him to say the decision is not up to him. He's such a bullshitter I'll happily go to his boss about the matter. The higher up is a really nice guy and I think he'd be direct and honest.
Otherwise just the same old stuff here. Yesterday I watched Hometown Holiday on Netflix. It was HORRIBLE. I couldn't wait for it to end. I had it on in the background at work otherwise there's no way I could have sat through it. I like cheesy holiday movies but I have my limit. Not having a hot guy as the star, having every cast member be generic looking white people who I can't tell apart, and constantly breaking in with crappy country music pushes it too far.

It was like watching a crappy high school play that was also written and directed by a high schooler. And I liked that stupid movie The Spirit of Christmas in which the star falls in love with a hot bearded ghost. So my standards aren't high.

Hey. Did I post last night? I can’t remember. H had a great day and enjoyed all of her gifts, especially Minecraft. Bedtime was rough. The city council passed a mask mandate at the meeting last night. Unfortunately it’s really weak and there is no penalty to not following it. One of the council members that was against it used “I don’t even know how to properly wear a mask, I was never trained” as an excuse. Idiot. V was up a billion times last night so I’m tired today. I have to pick H up from school early today because she has her well check at 3:15. DH texted earlier and said he’s going to be late getting home from work tonight. nam2013 I hope this is the beginning of labor! tgrimes did they get back the culture of the drainage? |
