The kids were so excited to wake up to a little snow! Of course in their excitement to get outside and play they let the dog out so who knows where he is... A is still sleeping and C has virtual school in 8 minutes so I suppose looking for him will need to wait a bit. I'm sure he's either getting muddy in the creek, trying to get into someone's house or making his way to the burger place down the street. His go tos.

Morning. Today is my alone day annnnnd my coffee machine decided to break on me 🤦🏼‍♀️. I ordered a new part in the hope that that will do the trick, but I’m not getting my hopes up.

I’m antsy today so I cycled to town to get some fresh flowers and a nice sandwich. Not much else on my agenda today .

I think I'm going to push my flight back a few days. I want to speak to the doctor today to see if they'll release my dad to us and if his insurance will pay to have the therapists come here. My sister said she can fly out here Tuesday, if needed.

I just need to make sure my dad is able to get out of a chair/bed with help and walk far enough to get to the bathroom.

If distance is his issue, you can get a potty chair to put closer to him until he regains some strength. You can rent them from most pharmacies. Grocery sacks lining it can make clean up easy for your mom.

B is doing her usual school.

I’m trying to orchestrate a paint party for this Sunday to celebrate her bday. I told her she could have 2 friends, but the tricky part was trying to make sure the friends were in the same “friend group” and whose parents would be comfortable. Luckily it’s going to be mid 60s, so I am still able to do something outside.
So far 1 friend is in... fx the other can make it.

Hi.

We had a hectic morning. MH started an early morning boot camp and we had a plan, then he wasn’t going to be home in time for that plan to work, so I had to get M2 ready to go and he wanted to eat. By the time Mh got there he just made stuff worse and more confusing which ended in M2 crying. Everyone was ok by the time they left, except MH who was just flustered. I got to work late, but it didn’t matter because we had no early patients. Just hate to start the morning off like that.

I think both Mh and I are a bit anxious because he has a job opportunity that we are waiting to see if it works out. The call this weekend went good, but hoping to hear from them any day now with an official interview date. Everything thus far has fizzled out so I’m finding it hard to hope, but I don’t want to give it negative energy either.

Anyhow, I got a lot checked off my list yesterday, but still have more to get through today. Overall, I’m feeling less overwhelmed right now.

Morning. I’m living in nostalgia land today. It’s crazy that I have been a mom for 7 years. It’s gone so fast, yet so slow. I am working on wrapping H’s presents, nothing like waiting till the last minute. I want to get the house picked up a bit more before I have to get S from school. We are picking up the cake at noon. Tonight H requested pizza for supper and it’ll just be the 5 of us, which is fine by me.

Nothing exciting for me. Just work as usual. Our latest shutdown starts today. I found out that once a week we get to have small group TKD classes. This week we'll be with a family I really like so that will be nice.

Partners were going around tagging furniture to keep or get rid of. They asked me what I wanted for my office. As far as I was aware, I was going to be sitting at the front as the receptionist for awhile. One of the partners said, well yeah, but you'll need an office. Guise, it's the size of a freaking attorneys office! And I don't have to share it with anyone!!!

Mh is taking Cadence to the dentist for apparently the first time ever. He said, "tiny teeth, right?" Huh?? Uh, no, that is in fact NOT the name of her dentist. "By the hospital?" Uh, no....
So, Cadence has an appt at 11:30. FX she actually makes it there. It's just to check the healing of the frenectomy, but she was also saying cold hurts the tooth they put a filling in, so I need them to check to make sure the filling is ok. If they make it to the appt that is, and remember to tell the dentist about it.

She also has dance and girl scouts today, and her teacher and librarian mentioned a read-along tonight for the start of the book fair, which I was initially going to skip logging into, but since EVERYONE told her about it, she is insisting she go. Luckily, its all online so I just have to connect her and go relax.
