Hey. I ran errands while S was at school this morning. Her teacher had a mask on and said she had a cold, I feel like it’s a matter of time before she’s out with covid. I read a thing today that it takes 12 days to see the effects of people doing dumb things, like going to a wedding maskless. So that means we are in for it soon with the holidays. I got my Sephora order in the mail today lahdeedah and yummeecookee, here’s what I ended up buying tgrimes don’t worry about the office, just worry about your parents. I haven’t personally used Walmart+ but I’ve seen a lot of people on IG rave about it. I think it would be a good idea for your mom. lfig sorry for the long day of appts and driving. I’m sorry S has one more thing to add to the list.

Aw tgrimes, I’m sorry that’s so much to deal rn, worrying for your dad and kiddos going your kiddos. lfig, what is the prognosis for S’s alopecia? Will the steroids cause her hair to grow back? Asking bc my neighbor’s DD, also almost 7 and really good friends w B, started losing her hair around 4.5 yo. It never came back and she is totally bald. They’ve been completely mystified as to why and have run a gamut of tests on her. Anyhow, I hope the steroids help! inthekitty, that is sumshit. I really can’t understand why ppl are fighting about TW rn. Whoever has ability to do so, should be permitted!

I hope you love that biossance kit trtlcrzy! The one I got over the summer had the vit C oil and a rose lip balm. I had previously bought a kit w their lactic acid and liked it so much that I ended up buying the full size version. AFM, I’ve had a pretty busy work day and had to pause halfway thru to take C to his well visit. Thankfully my SIL offered to watch him the rest of the day so I can catch up on the work that I missed.

My coworker called to tell me the firm will require me to quarantine for at least 10 days when I return. I'm pretty upset about having to work from home when I return....lol. Jokes on them.

Even his eyebrows I think fell off. They said it was stress induced if I remember correctly. This was back when I was in AL. His parents had gotten a divorce, it wasn’t amicable, and I think the mom moved on quickly with someone new. I saw a pic of him recently and still no hair. Poor kiddo. I wonder if it will ever grow back.

yummeecookee the dr said that sometimes it doesn’t come back. But usually it will fill back in. Also said sometimes it’s a one and done thing, sometimes it’s recurrent. Does your neighbors daughter wear a wig or anything? Does she have any other health issues? How does she handle the baldness, is she comfortable with it? Just curious. That’s such a tricky hard thing for little girls. Especially come teenage years. I’m hopeful Sierra’s doesn’t progress further. But who knows!

Her daughter seems to be fine with it as far as I know. The parents put her in private school when she started K - the same one B is in now- since the numbers are so small, in an effort to reduce any potential teasing or bullying that may have come at a larger school. She never wears wigs but does wear some sort of headband every day.

Today was super busy “at” work with so many urgent things popping up. I have a huge headache but the day flew by.
We also had a zoom with Cs teacher. She had nothing but good things to say. He’s making progress reading and spelling and getting caught up. She also commented that he is super athletic but is gracious with the other kids and always pepping them up if they can’t do something he can. It was really good to get such positive feedback since his last teacher didn’t have a lot. It’s very clear that this teacher is a much better match for him.

tgrimes how frustrating with all this with your dad. I hope he gets some answers soon and you can help your mom make good decisions. lfig I'm glad you were able to get an answer and treatment. Hopefully her hair grows back. When Evie donated her hair, we sent it to Children with Hair Loss who donates wigs for free, to kids with cancer and alopecia. Today was crazy busy. Even though I checked my email Thursday afternoon and Friday, when I was technically on PTO, you wouldn't have been able to tell by everything going on today. So annoying.

Why is it Monday already?! We survived our weekend in quarantine.. we were absolutely lazy on Saturday and then quite productive yesterday. I got some stuff done around the house today and the kids drove me crazy, so I’ll probably have wine tonight. And my mom just texted to say my dad is getting tested (they were with my nephew the same time as us and are quarantining). He lost his smell today but can’t get in to test until Wednesday. I hope it doesn’t get any worse. He is the one person in our that I’m scared to get it since he his horribly unhealthy and smoked for 50 years. Ugh. But from what I’ve read, it seems like if this is your first symptom, you have better chances of mild case 🤞
