Thanks! We don't know at this point- they're di/di twins, so they have separate sacs and separate placentas. There's still a chance they are identical, though. Congrats! And awesome they are di/di 👍🏻👍🏻 Thank you! And yes, it was a relief to know they've got their own "equipment." Both are measuring right on or a few days ahead of EDD, and they better keep it up!!

Confirmed today that we are team BLUE.
I will admit to not having a clue what to do with a boy or how to feel. I grew up with only sisters.

misskilljoy My only advice is to cover the winky when doing a nappy change (I used a wet wipe) as that winky will pop up and drench you... I'm 100% not joking. Boys are awesome, I'm obviously biased from DS, but my god they are such mamas boys

Be your own parent, choice your own choices when it comes to your kids. The best advice I've ever been given about parenting is - listen to the advice but you don't have to take it. My MIL isn't exactly the greatest parent and I use that to know what NOT to do

Boys are awesome (so are girls, but my experience is with brothers/son/brother in laws). +1 for covering the penis during diaper changes. DS got himself in the face a couple times lmao. Baby erections are shocking at first, but than you get used to it. Also be prepared for the energy. Not necessarily a boy or girl thing, but my kid does LAPS around most little girls his age. He'd give the energizer bunny a run for his money. He needs to be active and moving at all times.

I didn't realize I was supposed to clean his penis during diaper changes/baths. Other than that, nothing special for the boy. I don't know how it will turn out for us, but people tell me that boys are easier than girls.

Being a mom of all boys I can tell you how amazing little boys are with their mommy, and that love doesn't go away. My teenage son still hugs and kisses me. He will text me that he loves me while at school. He makes sure I'm ok and helps me without asking. My older sons hold doors for me, and treat me with such respect and admiration. Little boys love their moms forever. It's a love that can never be compared or duplicated. Congrats and make sure to cover the peepee during changes! He will play with his peepee a lot too... and that fascination never really goes away 😂😂

misskilljoy I also want to tell you that you choose how to parent. Don't worry about becoming her, learn from her mistakes. And boys are tough as toddlers but they get easier and easier every year. None of my boys ever talk back to me now.

Boys are awesome, I'm obviously biased from DS, but my god they are such mamas boys My biggest fear with having a boy is that I will become my MIL. My MIL is not her MIL by far, but I'm also not her - she is kind of a pushover and doesn't like to voice her opinion. But I think we all learn from experiences, so I highly doubt you will repeat any MIL schenanegans. GMIL has 2 girls and 5 boys, MIL had 3 boys. Also, once they start moving, get used to them not stopping until bedtime. They have the most energy ever. And when they pee during diaper change, they will honk it is hilarious while peeing in their face. It is non-stop crazy at my house but I get told I look pretty all the time and sometimes I'm called a princess. So, all the heart eyes.

Not all boys are crazy hyper. My older son was always calm as can be. Ds3 is as well.
Just like I'm sure not all girls are calm. My bffs girls are off the wall.
Every child has their own personality.

+1 to the I have a busy boy toddler. He literally doesn't stop moving or talking until bedtime. Even in his sleep he talks and squiggles. He's never been a cuddly kid so he's always on the move. I don't know if it's because he's a boy or a redhead.
DD is way calmer and far more cuddly.

My son isn't hyper, he's just...dramatic. He was the calmest baby, but after he turned one he was either the happiest kid in the world or a stubborn screachy monster. He also loves snuggles, which is lovely.
DD is the oldest of souls and amazes me everyday with her kindness and patience. But she's also 8 and can be so goofy. She's never been one for snuggles.
I go back and forth whether their differences are boy vs girl things or just being different people things. #3 will have to be the tie breaker, I guess.

DS is also super cuddly in addition to being super active. I tell everyone I meet that I am hoping for a calmer child this time around. I love DS but I don't know if I could handle two of him.

I was very nervous having a boy because I felt I just didn't know what to do, but man, he is the best gift. Congrats @misskiljoy PS: I was so glad a friend warned me about baby erections or I would have been caught off guard for sure

Can't agree more re: covering during diaper changes - DS hit himself in he face with pee while we were still in the hospital! We used a baby washcloth (the yellow one to cover - easy to wash if he does pee and if he doesn't, can just leave it by the changing table.
