I got home and turned on the TV the moment they called it. If that wasn’t perfect timing, I don’t know what is. We did it y’all! It’s A GREAT DAY!!

TOP OF THE MORNING LADIES!
M had tennis this morning. One of the mom’s wanted to chat and I couldn’t help but feel so awkward. I think I was just not expecting it and it was early in the morning. She was nice, but I struggled to engage. This week probably had a lot to do with it. Hope she doesn’t hold it against me. 😬
Only plans I have is to clean bathrooms and celebrate our victory! I think Mexican and margs are in my future. 🎉🎉

I’m so happy. Finally 2020 has a redeeming moment. Did you guys see Van Jones immediate response? So emotional. He definitely had me in tears.

I would not do the GS thing. I’m a rule follower but also don’t like that response. There’s limits for a reason.

I’ve been off and on crying since the big news came in. I’m extra pumped that we have a woman of color as VP. This is a massive step for women and POC! One of my best friends is Jamaican and hearing her joy and hope has been amazing! tgrimes happy birthday to H! It’s a great historical day to have a birthday!

Happy birthday to H tgrimes! Evies GS service this morning was great. It was just 4 other girls and 1 parent each, with 1 of the volunteers to the organization. We made 1100 family size bags of (dried) apple cinnamon oatmeal. The girls had so much fun and wanted to keep going. I'm our grabbing lunch and I think evie will take a nap after she eats. Her neds make her super tired.

I doubt I will truly make a decision until tomorrow right before we have to leave. Any chance you could invite a play date and set up your own decorating station outside? When I’m hesitant, most of the time I know what I should do, I just don’t want to disappoint my kid/other people or deal with the hassle that will follow after. For me it helps a lot to have a fun alternative planned and to get my kid/people exited about the alternative. Mom guilt is very very very much a thing these days.

Just got rid of Cadence's play kitchen and food. It sat in the curb for less than 5 minutes before a woman with a stroller tried dragging it home. She made it to the neighbor's driveway and then had to phone a friend to come help her.
Cadence is currently in the playroom "cleaning". I've told her no party unless it's clean. I'm not holding my breath.

Josie‘s birthday is Tuesday, and because she has school and tap I know that the celebration here is going to be shorten so we had something planned for both today (she wants a miracle berry cocktail party for dinner) and tomorrow (a Piñata and her current favorite meal) And yes, we definitely would still decorate a pumpkin and drop it off on the trail at some point so she would be a part of it, and I know I’m overthinking all of this because I know it would be safe, but the rules are there for a reason, and what exactly are we teaching the kids if the rules are in place but not really in place?

Well my happiest baby on the planet was a GRUMP for pictures. But I think we got enough good ones. We were all dressed warmly because its November in Ohio. Its 80 degrees today, so that may have had something to do with it too.

guster ugh to the Scout leader's response. Personally I'd feel pretty safe outdoors, with masks, some distance, minimal contact. But people who respond like that usually seem like the ones who don't follow the rules (masks hanging below their noses, too close, etc). It seems easy enough to keep the event going but break up into 2 groups and have them clearly separated (different tables or something like that) and asking parents to keep distance unless their child needs assistance. The fact that she's not putting something out there that these are the measures we're going to take to comply with the new order makes me side eye her. I support you either way because I know you'd make sure J plays it safe. tgrimes happy birthday to your 4 year-old! So big! Every time I see his smiling face rocking one of M's dresses and being his happy self it makes me smile. Wishing for him this is the year he starts to grow out of some of his ear issues. vino aw! Your snow babies are so cute! mwhip glad E had a good time! Hope she isn't too tired/sore.

I'm at my other job today and it was actually pretty cool to be here in uniform when it was called. My team cheered and did happy dances. My buddy wondered if he could run naked on post to celebrate without getting an Article 15. So, so, so happy and relieved. I want to shout from the rooftop. I'm bummed that the girls had a TKD tournament today and I missed it. It was supposed to be Zoom broadcast but their Zoom footage was super shitty so I missed Cass' entire part although I got to see some of M sparring. MH was proud of them and said they behaved really well because he was helping judge so they had to be there a long time and were good. I really appreciated one of the other TKD moms giving me the play-by-play.

Morning. I Dh sleep in for a bit, plenty of early wake ups in the near future . My sister made huge cardboard 60 signs for my mom, who’s turning sixty tomorrow, so the kids painted those and did some woodwork. Lots of stories, cuddles etc. on this Sunday that might be the last as a family of four. Heading out to a park in a little bit.
