Morning. I’m so tired. I’ve been sleeping terrible this week. COVID, elections and not sure if you followed the news about the teacher that got murdered last week in Paris because of a cartoon he showed in class. This teacher was a history/social studies teacher, like my h is. Yesterday one Dutch teacher was threatened and another had to go in hiding because of treats made. H told me yesterday that he is scared for the first time in his career... I did have a good midwives appointment this morning, got to hear a nice steady heartbeat 💓. OMG! That is so scary Nam. When are you due and how long of paternity leave can your H take? That murder was horrible. I’m 37w3d. My midwife was pretty confident I would not make it till 40 or even 39 weeks 😳. We’re very lucky when it comes to leave. Since July 1st 2020, every partner can take up to 6 weeks of leave, of which 1 week at 100% pay & 5 at 70% pay. Dh is taking the whole 6 weeks, during his leave it’s also Christmas break, which adds another two weeks. So he’ll be home for a grand total of 8 weeks 🥳🥳🥳! |

nam2013 my DH was only home 3 days with my first 3 kids. With C, he had 6 weeks, also with Christmas break in there. It was so good for my mental health because if I was up with the baby at night, knowing I could rest during the day and he could take over was so reassuring. C was a pretty easy newborn but just knowing I had backup made a world of difference for me.

nam2013 my DH was only home 3 days with my first 3 kids. With C, he had 6 weeks, also with Christmas break in there. It was so good for my mental health because if I was up with the baby at night, knowing I could rest during the day and he could take over was so reassuring. C was a pretty easy newborn but just knowing I had backup made a world of difference for me. Yes! With my ds Dh had 2 days after our nicu stay and 4 days after dd. So this is a world of difference  . Add in these weird times and I’m glad we’re lowering the risk of getting COVID significantly. |

Y’all I’m at work and Christmas music is on the radio and I don’t care because I’m ready to get this year over and we flipped GA and PA!!!! I am so freaking GIDDY! And I can’t even celebrate big because I’m at work amidst all the trumpers. They are all clearly in a mood but I don’t care.🎉🎉 Isn't it amazing! You should comment all day to them about what a beautiful BLUE sky it is outside even if it's gray as fuck.  |

In my search online at Target for Mario toys for H, I came across this gem.  Why yes, that is a 8" live action doll of Joe from The Facts of Life. So then I searched other Mego toys at Target. You can also get Norm & Woody from Cheers.   ALice & Marsha from the brady bunch   or Farrah Fawcett  |

I'm happy about the leads but it's not over yet. It would be a huge stretch for Trump to win if we got PA. But if he ended up with GA, NC, and PA then NV is in play and they said last night that they may not have results until the 12th!! If we get PA we can kiss this race goodbye so my fingers and toes are crossed. It may not be over but the fact that Biden took a lead at all has to have all the Trumps furious and insufferable and I will celebrate that because I’m petty AF. 🤣 |

My friend from my job told me yesterday how weird it is at her job because the trumpers are panicking and the energy is so off. My husband said one of the janitors at his job that he talks to said how there are members he talks to every day forever that haven’t spoken to him since Tuesday. Then I get to work today and most people are Quiet AF and the energy shift is definitely there. They MAD.

You're not sad because you have any legitimate worry that Biden is going to run the country into the ground, you're upset that you no longer have your beloved racist at the helm who made it okay for you to be more overt with your bigotry over the past 4 years. tgrimes lol I'm dying at those dolls! The Marsha with the smushed nose!!!  I loved the Brady Bunch Movies from the 90s. nam2013 I'm sorry it's been scary for your H there. I'm really glad your country takes care of new parents and you have such awesome parental leave. He’s scared of the possible repercussions if he where to actually say/do what he would want to. So he’s being extra mindful of how/what he’s saying & that feels weird and scary. |

I'm at my other job today and annoyed that they're having us do 3 days here. After 3 weekends/partial weekdays in a row here I'm over it and want to be done for a while. Wouldn't bother me if there was a reason to be here but we hardly have any patients scheduled and my civilian job is slammed and it'd be much more useful for me to be there. Plus I found out the person I like most here is getting out in the spring. *sigh*
But I'm not letting anything rain on my election parade. I hope they officially call it today.
A Scholastic order arrived yesterday and the kids were thrilled. It's nice to see them so excited about books.

I just said to my friend the other day that this year is the first time I’m glad I chose math over social studies or science. DS1 had all kinds of questions about abortion laws for me the other night after his social studies class talked about the Amy Coney Barrett nomination. It was one thing to address it with my own kid, but I wouldn’t want to touch that with other people’s 13 year olds. |

I’m afraid to even write this but C has been accident free, dry overnight and pooped alone in the potty today. My other kids took months to poop and to be dry at night. His sitter is going to be shocked on Monday.

Colin and I watched Biden's quick speech yesterday and agreed it was both nice and kind of boring. I really missed boring. I think boring is what we need after 4 years of trump lol. |
