Hi! /wipes the dust and cobwebs off of herself ;-) I don't think I mentioned it in my previous post but fractured my ankle (again, yep, same one as when I was preggers with D ha!) early October. Recovery is going smoothly and I am now walking without crutches again yay! Still stuck to my brace for the foreseeable future but that's okay, at least I am more mobile again :-) Also makes chasing a 3yo a smidge easier haha. Following the US elections from a distance and I can't imagine what it's like to be in the middle of it. Thinking of you all!

Oh hey btw... maybe/likely this has been discussed in one of the topics I missed this past year ;-) But how are your kiddos sleeping nowadays? Bedtime, any wake ups motn, what time do they wake up etc? We had a pretty regular schedule going on but lately things are hit and miss again it seems. D. no longer naps (she was hot/cold about those this past Spring and ditched them completely early Summer) but I feel that some days she'd really benefit from some real actual downtime in the afternoon. But letting her nap some f*cks up her nighttime sleep. Some days she's soooo tired come dinnertime that she meltsdown by the time we put her pjs on and try get her teethies brushed. I guess we're just in the zone where you just try to get it right but it'll be sucky for a while longer?

Mine are all in daycare fulltime now and they nap there which sucks because the earliest we get them all to sleep some nights is 9:30. The last few nights my 4yo has been up until 10:30 and ends up in my bed.

Hey guys, Everything is kicking my butt. Hybrid is a special ed nightmare. I cant get to all of my kids. We just went back to virtual yesterday because we have the highest covid numbets in the state. Im starting to get anxiety again. Howrver yay for the new president!
Im currently home on a 14 day quarantine and im going stir crazy. 3 teachers at work tested positive for covid and one was the aude in my classroom so i have ti quarantine. I got a test saturday and im negative so just i have to quarantine which is good. Dh and J can still leave the house.
My SIL did her first IVF cycle and her HCG was 64 but then numers tanked so she is devistated and so am I. Knowing how shitty it is makes me sad for them. I keep reminding her it doesnt always happen the first time. It took us 4 cycles to get J so at least she feels comfortable talking with me about it all.

If he naps he seeps 830 to 630ish if he doesnt nap he sleep 745 to anywhere between 6 and 7. He occasionally wakes up during the night but will just ask for a toy or book and goes rigjt back to sleep so its not a big deal. Daylight savings time messed us up for 2 or 3 days but we are ok again. As for napoing and down time, j naps 2 kr 3 times a week. When he doesn't nap he still goes in his crib for down time. If he isnt sleeping he stays in crib for 45 minutes. When he naps its betwern an hour and an hour and a half. He needs the down time and so do we!

Yeah it is terrible. MH and I never really get to just be alone, even when we are both working from home because we are scrambling to get things done work and home wise so we can do things with the kids on the weekend.
We had planned to try to move to a bigger house pre covid now I just want new construction so I don't have to do home repairs for about 20 years....
But yes, yeah for the election!

Last night N went to bed at 10 bc he took a nap. He naps with the nanny. He doesn’t with us. He’s regular bedtime is 8 and falls asleep between 8:30-9 most nights if he doesn’t nap. Napping is the worst for bedtime but also I want my fucking hour when he doesn’t nap.
He also ends up in our bed every night with his motn wake up. I don’t even care. Too tired to care.
I don’t know how people have more kids.
Chicago is shutting back down Monday. I feel like they’ll cancel school. I am just tired.

Being at home the majority of the time is rough. L & DS argue with each other all the damn time- they are so sick of each other. I had been letting them play outside with the neighbors kids but I’m going to have to go back to not allowing it bc COVID #s are up.
L is hit or miss with naps, yesterday she napped an hour and then was up yelling at me until 10. Both my kids wake up through the night, so I basically play musical beds.
L’s going to preschool 2x a week right now. Her poor teachers, she’s been showing them how much of a handful she can be. Everyday I pick her up she tells me so proudly about her time outs. 🤦🏻♀️

Sounds like everyone is doing great 😂 sorry guys. Everything is tough right now.
This is random but M started stuttering this week which seems to have come out of nowhere. A quick google search tells me it could mean nothing and stop over a few weeks or months or could b more so I guess I’ll wait and watch for a bit. It’s thrown me off a little because she has always been articulate with speech and language.

She always wakes up at 10pm to go to the bathroom and at 5 am ish she comes to my bed. It’s ok I guess. No naps since March. When she does, she will occasionally tell me she’s tired and go lay down in her room. Or if we go for a drive in the afternoon bedtime becomes way too late 9 or 930. I do not have any patience left in me by then.

I bought an OK to wake clock last month. It took a week or so for her to get it and then the time change messed her up. But, most days it works pretty good unless she has to pee. We stopped naps on the weekend since it was worth spending two hours trying to get her to nap. She still naps at daycare. She does need lots of hugs and kisses to go to bed. She often is yelling for us to tell us one last thing, “I gotta tell you something.” And, she also likes to set some random object outside her door because she doesn’t want it in her room anymore.
