It's crazy. I don't recall the NG ever being on standby for rioting for elections before (that's why I had to work extra last week). I actually think if Trump wins there's a good chance I'll hear some guns go off in my neighborhood if it's announced tonight. Dumbasses always do that at New Year's and Independence Day so I can see more of the same.

Add me to anxious about the election results and anxious about the behavior of others regardless of those results. I went to Costco last night and stocked up in food just in case we are stuck in for a while. I had my ultrasound this morning but I have to wait for a call with results. I went in unconcerned but I was nervous afterwards. The tech didn’t give off any vibes that anything is wrong so maybe it’s just the day.

For the home birth you need to highten your bed if of below a certain height. Our was 1 much below the threshold. So we rented thing to put under the legs of our bed. I cannot reach the ground with my feet if I sit on the bed now 😂.

Eta as of today I’m officially allowed to have a home birth, 37 weeks is considered full term!

I love SR CEO, which I believe I’ve seen you recc as well.
Biossance Vit C + Squalane is a great one too! I just tried it this summer and really like it.

The Sephora brand one has great reviews so I tried it during the spring sale in 2019, but I didn’t really see any difference w it.

I’m not in love with the truth serum either. I haven’t looked into another yet. Let me know what you try.

Checking in. I’m a huge ball of anxiety today. My house has never been cleaner and more organized and I killed it at work today. Just need to get through the night. Dh is picking up Italian food on the way home so we can eat our feelings.

nam2013, yay for another milestone! Assuming you get to have a home birth do you plan to be mostly in the bed or are you allowed to go where it suits you? I loved the tub.

Dr called, my ultrasound was fine. My option is birth control pills which I don’t want to do so I guess I suffer.

I got one of those giant both baths. However, these things take about an 1.5 hours to set up. So if things will go relatively similar as the last two times (5cm to baby arriving in about 1-1.5 hours) it would make no sense to use it. My midwife and I discussed this and she told me to just use my normal shower/bath for the most part, but that is probably have to be outside the tub for the actual birth part. I also have a yogabal and a birthing stool (dd was born using those).

So I guess I’ll see! I really really like the idea of the calmness of the water, but I’m also not making illusions about anything .
