Hi all. We got a call today warning that rates are creeping up in town but because the cases have been traced to social gatherings vs. in stores or schools, not to expect any changes yet. Of course it's super discouraging to hear this ahead of the holidays, when you know the number of ill-advised social gatherings is going to skyrocket. I'd love to be over COVID too, but it doesn't work that way. wedding - Such a good point about people relying too heavily on a potential vaccine or even possible treatments. I was listening to NY state's vaccine plan and it has something like 5 waves to distribute the vaccine. Most of us would be in the final wave, assuming there's even enough to go around. It's not a realistic plan. They will make enough vaccines but if you’re not in a vulnerable population you’re going to have to wait unfortunately. And even after the vaccine I’m sure we will still need to mask up and social distance, at least for a little while.

We had a weird burst of snow today. It was half rainy/ half snowy when I left the house this morning and then by the time I got to the road that connects our town to the town Charlie’s nursery school is in they had almost two inches of snow. Then as I drove back toward our town, the grass and roads were clear.
Regardless, the kids had Halloween parties at school and had a blast.
We’re in an uptick right now too. It’s not a lot for our town but it moved us to the orange zone. Apparently the active cases are not in the school. so we can currently stay full day. But they they think there is a strong possibility that will change.
As for tomorrow, we have to decide on the towns’ trunk or treats. They are all drive through, but I don’t know if I want to contribute to the congestion.
I bought a ton of of Reese’s peanut butter cups, glow sticks, and ziplock bags and we can always have a glow In the dark candy hunt if we decide against it.

It snowed all day here and it was wet and heavy and we lost power for a bit. Luckily after care had power so I took a nap. Can’t work if I have no power🤷♀️
My Halloween decorations are a bit buried and don’t have an ounce of spook left in them. It’s going to freeze overnight but everything will defrost tomorrow so I’ll see how they look.
Our Governor took us down to 10 people for social gatherings, shut down ice hockey, encouraged churches to go virtual, and banned spectators from youth sports. The exception is under the age of ten one parent can come. I’m bummed since C is in his last two weeks of football. I’m certain dh will be the chosen parent which is probably for the best because I get too riled up.
Tonight C and I made candy bags and watched Zombies 2 for the thousandth time. He had too much candy and needed melatonin to get to sleep.
