I know a couple of you were getting it and it was a huge hit. MH said yesterday both of them asked to do their schooling in the family room and he's pretty sure it was so they could keep an eye on each other so no one was glamping solo.

This is currently sitting in my closet as a birthday present!  Good to know!

For sure, we just didn't have time this morning.  She really wanted to wear makeup but I reminded her that Wednesday doesn't wear any.

M watched The Witches remake yesterday and loved it. But FYI, in the first few minutes, the boys parents die so she asked me to fast forward that part the next time she watches it. It doesn't show the accident, just him upside down in the backseat and a fireman rescues him while he's yelling for his parents.

So glad this week is over. I spent 5 days giving an online math test that no one passed. I had kids crying on Google meets and I cried at home 2 nights. We are off all next week. We should have been heading to Disney tonight but that’s canceled. My sister still went this morning. I’m a bit nervous today was the last day of school until spring...

Both kids got to wear their costumes to school today, this is now one of my all-time favorite pics. PDQ

C’s school did parades but spread them throughout the week; hers and my nephew’s classes both went today which was super cute. My sister and I went out for coffee and a Homegoods trip afterwards and then I hit the mall after that. I found a fall pillow and new throw for my sofa and some other odds and ends.

DH and I have one last date night tonight. My parents are picking up the kids at 5 and taking them out for dinner and a sleepover, so I can get ready in peace 🙌🏻

We are supposed to go back after the one week off but the numbers are climbing and our quarantine rules are so strict we won’t have anyone left who is allowed to go to school. I guess it is what it is. I hate teaching remote so much.

Wanted to share some potentially good news. I have $$$ in student loans (not the good news part) and have been enrolled in the Public Service Repayment Plan for years. They had my account information all screwed up and I've been putting off dealing with it for months. I got a hold of a human today and she's going to review it but it sounds like I'll be eligible for forgiveness sooner than I thought if it all goes through. I won't believe it until it's all finalized, but that was at least encouraging.

Normal day at work for me. It’s also my weekend... booooo. M also had book character day, so he was a ninja. They did some fun stuff but didn’t have a party like usual. M2 had a fall fest/Halloween party but no costumes.

M has tennis this afternoon instead of in the morning. MH will take him because a little
Congestion snuck up on me last night. 🙄 So annoying. I need to find the right meds to take to give me some relief.

Not sure because the big kids have sports and I have a doctor’s appointment. Probably going to send DH there to work for a few days because it’s easier to have him gone to to have him home working when we are all home.

Hi all. We got a call today warning that rates are creeping up in town but because the cases have been traced to social gatherings vs. in stores or schools, not to expect any changes yet. Of course it's super discouraging to hear this ahead of the holidays, when you know the number of ill-advised social gatherings is going to skyrocket. I'd love to be over COVID too, but it doesn't work that way.


wedding - Such a good point about people relying too heavily on a potential vaccine or even possible treatments. I was listening to NY state's vaccine plan and it has something like 5 waves to distribute the vaccine. Most of us would be in the final wave, assuming there's even enough to go around. It's not a realistic plan.

The kids painted their (soggy) pumpkins.. they turned out cute and they had fun. Now we’re waiting on pizza and rented Casper to watch. I hope they enjoy it!
