Completely rainy gross hideous day here. I am concerned for my child. She refused to wear a rain coat (seems to hate wearing coats in the car, even light ones) and didn’t want to take an umbrella bc she thinks it’s slows her down (too many things to carry). She is not going to be happy at pick-up, when she will have been standing out in the rain!

Cadence came to my bed at 4am. 4. AM. Apparently she had a dream that mh was carving pumpkins and a snake came out of one and started coming for her. Tomorrow will be great fun when he actually tries to carve pumpkins with her. LOL I am working all day today. I have Monday off, so today I'm covering for the chick who is covering for me then. Cadence was extra weepy this morning due to the fact that I will be gone all day. I bribed her with candy. The Starbucks app wasn't working and I didn't have time to stop and wait, so I had to drink office coffee. Office coffee is the worst.

Ugh yes, I would really have to be in dire straights to drink our office coffee. I don’t like drip coffee as it is.

Morning. I’m one cup of coffee in but still dragging. I think we’ll run to target in a bit and grab Starbucks for an extra pick me up.
L has been waking up for the day at 5:45 lately, which is not ideal for daylight savings this weekend. DNW to wake up at 4:45 next week.
On a positive note, I just saw we’re supposed to get back to the 60s next week. It’s a fall miracle! Our lakes were starting to freeze earlier this week, but it’s warmed up a little. We don’t need that for a couple more months.

Morning. Drip coffees work sounds great... we normally have coffee machines which are free, but gross. Take out coffee is mostly seen as a real luxury/treat around here.
Dh and I had the morning to ourselves. I ordered us a nice breakfast (croissants, eggs, French toast, fresh orange juice, yoghurt, fruit etc...). We finished our birth announcement (outside the unknown data of course), finished the adres list, set up the co-sleeper, and hung some shelves in the nursery. Next week the prints for on the wall will be delivered and we’ll be done.
I cleared out our downstairs bathroom cabinet, so much stuff... Ds’ muffins for his classtreats are about to go into the oven, so all in all productive day over here!

It's really nice here but it doesn't really matter because I'm in a gross storage room office without windows. I'm working my other job today and tomorrow in a different location than usual in the middle of the state. They recently had a big 'Rona outbreak yet hardly anyone here is wearing masks. Wonder why? I can't wait until I can go home SAT morning. My room is in dumpy old WWII barracks, which I'm used to here, but the last couple of times I've been here I'd had a big room. This time my room is tiny and I'm in mixed male/female barracks and there is only 1 shower/toilet for women. Also the others staying there are young and were up past midnight last night. Luckily I'm partially deaf so part of the noise was cancelled out, but the sound of doors closing was still super loud and the hallway lights are motion activated so there was bright light coming in under the 1 inch gap of my door. *shakes cane*

Just got some bad news.... my ILs were supposed to visit this wknd. My FIL is in the hospital now though. He woke up so dizzy that he can’t even stand up. They are running tests to see what’s going on. Last I heard, he was about to have an MRI.

Morning. I ended up spending the night at my parents house and luckily was there this morning when the surgeon called. My dad's tumor is cancer. Luckily a slow growing one though. He can't remove it without messing up his speech so likely chemo/radiation to start. Obviously wish it was a better diagnosis but it could be worse I suppose.

yummeecookee, yikes! Does he have a history of vertigo? I hope they can figure out whats wrong quickly! I was thinking that too! My MIL has this, it started 2 years ago and scared the crap out of all of us. Now she has a episode 2/4 times a year, it’ll last a UO to a few days sometimes, it’s awful, but luckily nothing serious.

Got an email this morning that there are 2 confirmed cases of covid at Cadence's actual school. We obviously haven't been in contact with them, since we aren't f2f. I was telling Cadence about it and how, see, isn't it a good thing you aren't back in the class yet? Her response: No.

I'm running errands while Mallory car naps. I'm absolutely exhausted this week. She has been so damn clingy and I have work piling up. I'm going to dinner with friends tonight and can.not.wait.

Hi.
I’m trying to be productive today. I have some tidying and purging to do. I may deep clean the kitchen if I feel up to it after the first task.
So after FILs 14 days were up, MIL started to not feel great. He called yesterday to tell us that she had a low grade fever, but not to mention it because she doesn’t want anyone to know. 🙄 Don’t know if she is going to get tested.

lahdeedah +1 to what jewels said. Hope it’s nothing. My dad was tested this morning, most likely for nothing, but I do not want him over for ds’ birthday tomorrow with a runny nose and a cough (especially so close to my due date) so fingers crossed. Outside the grandparents and my sister (not together or on the same day) nobody is coming, so I really hope my dad will hear the results soon.

Just heard from my MIL- they are chalking this up to a very bad case of vertigo. My FIL will stay overnight at the hospital. Just glad it’s wasn’t something more serious. Thanks for all your kind thoughts.
