I’m at work and I’m hoping the day goes by fast like it did yesterday. E is already awake and singing the monitor alerted me.

Morning ladies and Happy Friday! SSDD here, just working. I need to get to the post office and the auto parts store, my windshield wipers suck.

So a month and half ago, H was supposed to go on a guys overnight camping trip. It was cancelled due to rain and the area he would have been in flooded. We have had pretty much no rain since that time. Guess what, it's raining, so he will likely cancel again. I was really looking forward to Saturday just being me and Evie. Come on mother nature, get your shit together!

Morning. I'm at work. We are supposed to go to an outdoor Halloween event tonight but it's looking like storms.

My dad should be going home today! No results yet, so anxiously waiting for those!

My coworkers came through today... the stopped by my house and brought a huge basket full of baby presents. I’m waiting till the kids come home to unwrap some of them .

My parents have the kids, so I can just do some little things around the house. Not much else on the agenda today .

Morning! In the vet parking lot waiting for Gus to be done with his annual exam. Kids are at school and I’ll put L down for a nap when we get home. I started following gocleanco and now I have a spin mop and powdered tide and will be cleaning all the things. I’ve also been watching the home edit and dream home makeover so my mind has been spinning and Dh is not amused by my grand ideas.

N gets to have her bestie over for a play date after school and she’s so excited. They’ve been friends since they were babies at daycare together, and the have the same birthday. They’re so cute together. She already told H he can only play with them for 10 minutes. Lol. But now my sister asked if I can pick my nephew up from school too, which will work great so h and him can play and the girls can do their thing.

I'm happy it's Friday because the week is closer to being done, but I work this weekend so I still have a ways to go. 😒

M's birthday is tomorrow so I need to bake her a cake. Can't believe my big girl is going to be 9.

I can’t remember if I told you guys yesterday that my internet was down. I called the ISP and there was a message about an outage so I was waiting it out. When I came home at 10 it was still out so I called again and the outage message was gone, but tech support was closed. I looked at my account on the website and it said my internet was disconnected, wtf. I called earlier in the day because I was still being billed for the video doorbell and wanted that taken off my acct/bill. Someone fucked something up. So I called and had it out with them. The internet is back up but apparently there was some nonsense in regards to the doorbell so I’m calling back Monday to make sure everything is correct. So annoying.

In other news, I’m exhausted. I did not get enough sleep last night and my eyes hurt. So I plan to sneak in naps when V naps today. Then after H gets home from school we are going to the ILs house for a bit to visit.

I'm currently at work tracing a million circles on glitter paper so that when I get home Cadence will be able to finish her Rainbow Fish pumpkin for her school's contest.

wineallthetime I think the kids unwrapped two gifts each, and it didn’t even put a dent in the basket! So far I’ve received a snack kit (tea, chocolate, salty snacks) two sleep ‘n play kind of suits, two longsleeves, a onesie, a set of muslins and a drawing book for the kids 😳.

My dad has an appt with his family physician today to get medical clearance for surgery, an ekg and a chest x-ray. As long as he's cleared they'll schedule the MRI. Why couldn't they schedule all of this sooner? whatever.

In other non shocking news, my mother is currently not speaking to me. Why you ask? I sent my half sister a text about my dad and she called my mother. My mother then sends me a text asking why I sent anything to her and did I think she wasn't going to tell them? Well...did she tell them? Nope. She claims she was waiting until they got a surgery date. So she's apparently mad because I made her look bad.

(My half sister & half brother asked me to keep them updated a couple years ago on my dad's health, since my parents suck at relaying information. )

TGIF is right. B is an emotional mess these last couple days, I'm ready to just drop him off at the school doors and they can figure out where to fit him in. Demo was done in the ensuite yesterday and today tile will be done with grouting happening Monday I am assuming. Baseboards, casings and the fireplace mantle will all be done today, painter starts Monday.

Zoe (my cat) is supervising it all, popping up and just staring at them. I am pretty sure she wants them out of her house.

So glad they recognized how you do such special things for everyone and did the same for you!

We decided to skip our outdoor Halloween thing because COVID numbers are going up (in fact, the friends we know who are going were exposed to it earlier this week) and I just decided.. nah. Especially with seeing my dad tomorrow I think we need to err on the side of caution.

I'm going to Trader Joe's for the first time in forever today. I'm really hoping they have the haunted gingerbread house kits because the kids would love those.

We don’t have Halloween, but we have at. Maarten, very similar, sans costumes with lanterns & songs, going door to door and getting treats. Not happening this year. I figured we’d let the kids FaceTime family while standing at our kitchen door with lanterns, have ds/dd sing a song & we’d hand then a treat! The kids loved the idea, especially that they could sing for people that are normally to far away! Maybe this would be something you could do too?
