mwhip Poor Evie. I hope the ultrasound will give more insight on what's going on in her joints.

SSDD. H will be getting his flu shot this afternoon and I'm making MH take him. I "accidentally" scheduled it during M's virtual piano magnet class.

My college roommates father died last night. She’s in Utah and her family is in Rhode Island. I want to send her something to let her know how sorry I am. Any ideas? I know I’m overthinking this because I know anything would be appreciated, but I’m blank. Any good foods stuff to send?

I’ve send a coworker who lost her FIL a little ‘altar’ with dried flowers that had room for a picture and a small candle?

Thank you everyone! We are done. The ultrasound tech doesn't tell us anything, so I emailed her rheumatologist through the portal and let her know we were finished, hoping that gets faster response.
I couldn't tell anything by watching what the tech was doing. It did look like there was fluid on her right knee, in comparison to the left. But it looks like a foreign planet landscape to me, so i have no idea.
Grabbed her mcds before heading to school.

We all got our flu shots yesterday and I got one of the “minor” side effects of a full body headache/migraine thing. I’m WFH so I just need to attend 2 virtual meetings and another 1 I’m presenting at so I just need to get through that

That’s what I did for her mom and her sister because I know their area of Rhode Island well but she’s in Utah so completely foreign to me. I just put a big box of dark chocolate and a nubby cozy blanket in my Amazon cart and I think I will send that to her. Thanks for the ideas (you, too, @nam!)

Thanks for all the birthday wishes for L! I spent the morning looking through photos, making a slideshow and tearing up. Lol. I think I’m past that now.
Trying to decide what to do for dinner. I’m thinking sushi take out.. because what one year old wouldn’t appreciate that?! I guess I can say I’m celebrating being home with 3 kids for a year 🍷

Wine sounds good! slenle you deserve some sushi 😁 I’m out with my two, three neighbor kids and the dog, playing in our yard and driveway. It’s warm again but not too bad in the shade. I took the dog for a car ride earlier and she got some nuggets. We are going to start ripping out/planting this weekend and I’m exciiiited.

Its been a good day, work has been going ok, B had a half day of school and is currently creating a scavenger hunt of all his toy cars for him and J to find when we get her. He says 'Mom things are all over the place so I actually have places to hide things'
I cant stop laughing. Sorry my minimalist life doesnt work for your kid games in non-reno life, child.

J, mj and I got groceries for my parents and a present for my cousins daughter from my mom since she won't have time to shop. Nothing like turning 4 five days after your mom dies.. so I went a little crazy and got her the barbie camper and baseball barbie. A worked late last night but got off 45 minutes early today. Which means he can take the boys to tee ball practice while I stay home with mj. She's about to nap and I'll make dinner.

And I totally get your feelings because everything is so bittersweet when it's your last baby! A is 2.5 and I still call him a baby because I'm in denial. C told his teacher we have a baby at home 😂

Are your parents back peachsmama? How is everyone holding up? Just boarded their last flight. They land at midnight. They go to the funeral home first thing tomorrow so I'll see them tomorrow afternoon. Mom is barely holding it together. I can hear it in her voice. I cleaned their house, did the laundry, all animals are still alive (barely, a chicken tried to strangle itself and I had to cut it free), there's groceries in the house and fresh flowers on the table. I ordered all the pictures we need for the funeral. Got a birthday gift and wrapped if for my cousins daughter. I just can't be who she needs me to be in these situations. I'm not a crier. I'm not a great emotional support.. but I can get things done. So that's what I'm trying to do.

As for everyone else, its mixed. me, R and our cousin S are just in complete shock. None of us have cried. I'm to confused and angry.
The kids are okay. The oldest is struggling but the community has really surrounded them and is helping alot.
