Hi! I've had a frustrating week. My cousin who is my babysitter for DS told me she isn't able to keep him anymore. Luckily MH and I both work from home and we can probably make do until my maternity leave with my mom stepping in sometimes, but damn. AND this morning I hopped in the car to go to my doctor appointment and my BRAND NEW FUCKING CAR that doesn't even have 200 miles on it wouldn't start so I had to borrower MH's then come home and deal with getting it towed to the dealer. UGH.
But the good news is I got to hear baby girl's heartbeat this morning and my midwife is super awesome and she is so supportive of my VBAC hopes! I'm 15&1 today but she's on vacation next week so I went early, but now my anatomy scan is my next appointment and not scheduled until 11/13 which seems forever away, but I guess there's nothing they'd really do except check my BP, weight, and listen for her heart beat anyway. Hopefully she'll throw some kicks my way soon to reassure me. I didn't feel my son until like 21 or 22 weeks, but we'll see!

Baby Grape is doing great! Everything is perfectly normal and they measured +2 days. Kiddo was a punk like big sis was, so we had to do all the things to get them to scoot just right to get some pics. 🤣 Pics in spoiler 🥰 profile  Straight on face  Nose + Lips  |

I got my NT scan today.
Everything came out good. Both babies are doing good.
The tech did tell me one of them for sure is a boy. She’s not sure about the other one, but thinks it’s 80% girl.
So at least I know something.
I’m 13 weeks this week so it’s crazy to still see them because I don’t feel them yet.
But today felt more like shit is getting real.

He was over a few weeks ago cutting my husbands hair. He asked me if we ever think about adding to the fam. I laughed and said, “I don’t know. Maybe after this year!”
Which is technically true. But i was laughing inside. I think a lot of people will be shocked about the twins part. Lol

Been feeling better this week, finally, and got the NIPT results back Monday (and an unexpected ultrasound)- everything looks good and we’re having another girl! She was posing with her hand up during the scan and it was cute.
The big kids know and are excited for another baby sister, and now we just gotta decide if/when to go public. My mom wants to tell everyone and I’m annoyed because it’s not her news to share. That’s kinda her personality though, making everything about her. Ugh.

Hit 12 weeks yesterday! I actually feel less bumpy now that the bloat has gone away. Womp womp. Not sure when we'll announce, definitely not until after my next appt (in a week).

It’s in the other thread, but I posted about DD1 getting a Covid test and it came back negative!! Hopefully we’ll all be back to normal next week 🤞🏻

I saw my OB on Friday. They did an ultrasound to check on a cyst on the umbilical cord, but they couldn’t find it. The doctor said that doesn’t necessarily mean it’s gone, but it’s not anything to worry about at this point. The ultrasound tech also measured nuchal translucency. Apparently she wasn’t supposed to that because they’re not an MFM practice so they can’t bill for it. 🤷♀️ The measurement was perfect! I’m so glad she bent the rules! After having one baby with Down syndrome, it was a big relief there weren’t any major markers for it. We also did the NIPT so just waiting on those results.

I'm almost 17 weeks and no kicks yet. A few times I feel like maybe I felt some little flutters, but nothing for sure yet. It took forever with my son. I was past the anatomy scan before I felt him. Hopefully this little lady won't make me wait so long. Especially since I have a whole month to go before my next appointment!

Especially since I have a whole month to go before my next appointment! i hope you feel her soon!! i’m definitely feeling movements. probably stretches. it’s usually right when i lay down for the night. not every night either, just every once in awhile. i’m not excited for kicks though. my kids TORTURED ME in the womb. no sleep started at like 25 weeks 😂 |
