I’m dealing with what I assume are BH- nothing consistent but just crampy enough to make me feel a little on the crummy side. I wish I could fit a nap in today.
I have my 34 week visit tomorrow (at 34+5) and then my next scan in 2 weeks.

I can't believe it's October. And I can't believe I'm having a baby next month. I know it's too early for her to have dropped, but she must finally be nestled and heads down. I'm feeling movements much lower, and it's...weird? It's definitely different than what I've been feeling so far.
I've got a growth can next week, since she's measuring small. Hopefully she's a bit bigger now; I could do without the extra doctor appointments!

yes how am i nearly 8 months pregnant. i’m starting to get pretty anxious about getting everything done. also heartburn and indigestion are out of control. not much else going on here. going to costco today to stock up on a bunch of stuff. our new house has lots of storage and i am going to take full advantage so i don’t need to worry about too much once baby is here. katespade hope your appointment goes well today! i have my 34 week appt along with growth scan next week too. let’s hope all these babies are growing well.

How's everyone doing this week?
I had a scan this week; baby girl is looking great! My dr's office scheduled all of my remaining appointments; it seems so soon now that I've got those dates in front of me.
I think I might have had Braxton Hicks last night. I've never had them before, but it felt like mild period cramps every few minutes. I knew I wasn't in labor, but I did start to panic about the house being a mess and having to clean it before calling our dog sitter just in case I was in labor lol. I told DH from this point out, the house needs to be in tip top shape 😂

Hiii! Doing alright over here. I overdid it last weekend and was in a lot of pain. Trip to the chiropractor fixed that and I’m feeling much better this week. I’ll probably start going weekly for now and then twice a week towards the end.
My kids have “fall break”...whatever that is. They’re at school now but won’t go back again until Tuesday. This weekend I have a really small baby shower/sprinkle. My sister insisted on hosting something since this is our last baby. It’s going to be just a few of us and I’m looking forward to having some adult time while not simultaneously parenting.
Is anyone else super emotional? I sat in the nursery a few days ago and just cried while I put baby clothes away. No idea why. I was enjoying myself. 😆

glad baby is looking good marigoldi had my appt this morning, but growth scan is actually at 36 weeks...i can’t keep track of anything these days. everything seems to be going well, but it seems he’s flipped into breech position. i suspected that he had moved based on where i was previously feeling movements. i’m hoping he’ll flip back in the next few weeks. ob mentioned doing a version if it doesn’t happen by 37 weeks and is really like to avoid that. i also made the rest of my appointments and i just can’t believe we’re at that point already. we have moving people lined up to bring my old bedroom set for dd1 to our house on monday so we will finally be able to set up nursery next week. we also realized we will probably need to buy new seats for the girls to fit all 3 across in my car so i need to get on that. at least we can use other seats in h’s car but i was hoping we wouldn’t have to do that.

Fearsy im glad the chiropractor is helping. i’ve been constantly overdoing it and i need to just stop. i woke up this morning with a huge, painful bump on my knee and was told it was bursitis (it was tender last night but i thought it was just a bruise). i’m waiting for antibiotics to start doing their thing but i guess this is an excuse for me to take it easy the next few days.

Ughhh I’m sorry he’s breech! I can’t remember if I’ve shared my story here or not. My first turner breech at the last minute and it was a really stressful and overwhelming situation. If they haven’t suggested it yet, check out the spinning babies website for some good exercises to do to encourage him to turn back. What seats are you looking at to fit 3 across and what kind of car do you have?

Fearsy i know there’s still time for him to turn, but yes this is stressful! i’m guessing you had success? ob did recommend the spinning baby website and i took a look last night but got stressed and didn’t get very far. re: car seats. i have a volvo xc90 and the girls both have britax seats. we got a chicco fit2 based on car seat lady’s recommendation for slim seat and based on measurement it should work (but i realize measurements aren’t everything and it doesn’t fit). i did google the make/model of my car to see what works so i think i’ll head back to that. are you going to be doing 3 across? they now make my car with captain chairs and i wish we would have had that option when we were looking.

polson, actually no. She basically gave the doc the middle finger during the ECV and stayed breech. We ended up transferring care to that specialist and I birthed her breech. There are only two providers in my state who will support a vaginal breech birth in the hospital. It was quite the adventure! But you’ve still got lots of time for him to get it together and find his way back head down. Some babies even turn during labor! Re: car seats. My girls have the Chicco MyFit which I think is pretty slim but the arm rests probably bump them out of that category. I have a minivan so our plan was to remove one captains chair, girls in the back, and baby in the other captain chair. That would make it really easy for us to get to the back since they both still require us to buckle and unbuckle. But I was thinking ahead to when we travel...we have a car tv but it’s built into my center console and I’m not sure they’ll be able to see it from the back. I was thinking maybe we’d move them to the front (we have a center middle row seat currently removed that we can put back) but I don’t know if it’ll be too tight for 3 across. But I also don’t want to buy new seats either 🤔 Basically I need to actually get an infant seat and get back there and play around to see what we can figure out.

Fearsy that is awesome you still were able to deliver vaginally - i need to see if that would even be a possibility for me. i know it wouldn’t be the end of the world, but i really don’t want a csection. i wish this car seat thing wasn’t so complicated! i’m not motivated to figure this out at all right now, but i don’t think we can put it off much longer. i’m just glad that dd1 can get in and out of seats by herself at this point (i check straps for her but she can buckle/unbuckle) i really wish we had the captain chairs.

how’s everyone doing this week? katespade is your scan this week? Friday morning! Part of me hopes this scan leads to us moving up the csection date. I’m okay. My feet are starting to swell- mostly it’s my left foot that swells but it’s getting more consistent. I’ve got 20 days until the current csection day, and I’m just ready for him to be here. My body hurts.

That's so soon, katespade!! polson, do you have a doppler? If so, you can tell the position by where you locate the heartbeat. My girl was breech at a recent appointment (and then flip flopped about a million times). There are some movements you can do on an exercise ball to help baby flip, which shouldn't bother your knee. I'm feeling great- so much better than this point in my pregnancy with DS. I think being able to work from home this time has made such a huge difference. The nursery is almost done! I had a huge burst of energy Sunday and got just about everything built, washed, hung, etc. Now I'm going to ignore my pregnancy until November 4th and focus only on GOTV efforts.

polson it was okay- he has stayed at 34th percentile (which is what he was at my last scan) and he measured exactly a week behind (so 35+5 when I was 36+5) but they didn’t seem concerned at all 🤷🏻♀️He’s got a little noggin and long legs, and a lot of attitude already LOL- he was SO mad at the scan and I’ve got a great image of his foot from when he straight on kicked the wand. I also had a cervix check and am soft but not at all dilated. I had a lot of contractions yesterday actually- they were 15-20 mins apart for several hours but then stopped. I had a few really painful ones overnight but they never picked up either. So we shall see! I’m definitely swelling more than I did with DD- nothing concerning (and my heart medication helps keep my blood pressure at good levels) but it’s definitely more obvious to me this time.

Nursery is done, bags are packed, and nesting has occurred all over the house lol. Baby is back to breech, so I will be doing some spinning baby moves this week. I had a virtual appointment this morning and nothing else for 3 weeks. It seems weird to go that long without an appointment at this point.

Just another week here. I’m working on my registry completion purchase and then we need to get in the closet and organize/wash the baby stuff so we can distribute it throughout the house. Probably won’t be doing that for at least another few weeks though.

I probably should get a packing list organized and try to get some of that started. I didn’t have to pack my oldest to leave the house when baby 2 was born since she stayed home with my mom. This time both of the big kids are leaving to stay with my sister so that adds a little extra to my to do list when labor starts.

katespade that’s good he at least held steady! i’m sorry about your mom - covid related stuff or something else? marigold when are you due again? i still can’t figure out if he’s still breech or not (i don’t have a doppler). i was pretty confident he turned again a few days ago but now i’m not so sure. i need to formulate more of a plan for the girls for when i deliver as well as pack a bag. my mom is supposed to watch them, but i have no idea beyond that what the plan is. i was induced the last two times and i’m not liking not having an exact date.

My mother is being a grade A asshole right now about coming to visit after baby is born and I literally cannot deal with it. I can commiserate a tad. My mom has tried to insert herself into our plans too. It is most logical for the girls to go to my sister’s house while I give birth. My mom thinks I’m being too laid back about it and thinks I should call her to come to our house to keep the girls. Ideally we would introduce the girls to the new baby without an audience and having them at my sister’s while I birth is the best way. My mom also brings a certain type of energy that I can’t handle while I’m in labor (I learned that with my last birth). It’s nothing bad - just she’s overly excited and her energy is too much. I know she’s going to be unhappy when we ask them to wear masks when they come to meet the baby.

polson, my midwife said that if you feel a hard spot and aren’t sure if it’s butt or head, pay attention to movement. If the hard spot moves back and forth, it’s likely the butt. She said heads tend to stay put more in comparison. That’s helped me with positioning a lot!

She wants to come immediately and then come back again in December and she will not take my “let’s hold off on booking for another week” as a reasonable response. It’s just a lot and Ive got 400 other stressful things on my plate without adding stupid shit.

I'm worrying myself with statistics, and I really need to stop reading up on ECV's! One of the silver linings of divorce is that DS will go to his dad's house when I go into labor. My mom and MIL want to come set up camp at our house immediately upon me going into labor, though. At least our pets will have company?

Hopefully she takes the hint and backs off a little. It will be a much more enjoyable visit if she waits until you’re ready vs pushing into your space too soon.
