I'm in a shopping hangover from yesterday. I got pretty much all the stuff I needed/wanted for this baby ordered and shipped to my in-laws for when DH is back in the states later this month. I got a lot of good deals too, but man - so much money spent in such a short span of time. The friggin dockatot (and extra cover and travel case) was the most painful item/s to purchase. I'm just going to focus on all the good deals, all the glorious sleep this dockatot will hopefully give me, and leave it at that. Kids are expensive.
Other than that - normal day over here. We celebrated a friend's birthday with some chocolate cake, which LO and DS looooved, LO really went nuts with the kicking after I finished my piece - future chocoholic I think!

I'm trying to catch up on work from hanging out on Amazon most of the day yesterday. Fortunately, summers are when our campus is basically dead so it's been pretty slow for me. Night 3 of swim lessons tonight! DD learned to swim to/grab onto the edge last night, but our lesson got cut short by the weather. I was so nervous going into the lessons, but every night makes me feel a little bit better. I can't wait to see how she's doing at the end of the 2 weeks.

Taitai, Yay for getting all of the baby stuff! H & I are trying to spread our baby spending over the next couple of months to make it a little easier. Plus we'll have the completion discounts to help finish out. But, yes, babies are so expensive. Did you at least get any deal on the Dockatot?

I got the dockatot and the travel case basically for 20% off with the target deal ($50 gift card with $250 purchase). I also found an extra cover on sale from the dockatot website...so basically I didn't pay full price for anything dockatot related. i also got a mad deal on woombies via the clearance section at woombie.com and some great deals on pedipeds via pedipeds.com for DS. Those items are prohibitively expensive here due to import/customs fees (like 3-4 times the full USA price), so I'm pretty pleased about those purchases - we're set with swaddles for LO and shoes for DS for a while. |

My arm is SO SORE from my TDAP shot yesterday. Good grief! I remembered it being sore last time, but man does it hurt. I couldn't sleep on that side at all.
Does anyone have any kindle app/game recommendations for two year olds? I have an olddddd 2012 kindle fire that we just found in a drawer. We received it as a store incentive on Black Friday in 2012, then I got a job and they gave me an iPad and I never used the kindle again. I ordered a case for it yesterday and we're going to give it to DS for his birthday later this month and I want to load it up with fun things for him to do.

My wish for rain came true. Now I'd wished I had wished for a money tree in the bky. Well it spit rain this am and is overcast so temps are down....but wrong day! Plumber is here today redoing all our gas lines placing regulators everywhere in the house except for bedrooms and trying to keep DS occupied and out of the way has been challenging. He's of course more interested in what the plumber is doing than playing. My mom won't take him out cos she's afraid it would rain. I can't take him out cos I can't haul him in and out of the car seat plus going to potty. Send help!

I think I have finally decided.
I quit trying frozen pizzas. I would rather pay the extra for take ou (let's be honest, delivery) than spend almost $5 for crummy pizza. I can drive to little Ceasars and get a better tasting pizza for that same $5.
Or spend a little more and get a delicious pizza delivered to my house without putting on clothes or driving.

I think I have finally decided. I quit trying frozen pizzas. I would rather pay the extra for take ou (let's be honest, delivery) than spend almost $5 for crummy pizza. I can drive to little Ceasars and get a better tasting pizza for that same $5. Or spend a little more and get a delicious pizza delivered to my house without putting on clothes or driving. Amen. DD and I are having Papa Johns tonight while H is out golfing. Our local one runs a 5.00 deal on Wednesdays. |

I'm devouring a CFA grilled market salad right now and it's wonderful. These days, I don't crave healthy stuff so much so I'll take it when I can get it.

I have serious nesting fever. I want to do all the things: wash baby clothes, set up the nursery, pack my diaper bag...everything. The problem is that DD is still in the nursery (she is moving into her "big girl room" for her birthday in September) and it's too early to do things like wash clothes and diapers 😔

OMG! I cant believe how teeny tiny baby socks are, Hubs can fit one on his thumb! I could ask I suppose - he's a pretty awesome guy! I have Amazon prime - anything good on there? I am kinda thinking ahead now for when baby comes for when I am constantly nursing. I totally binge watched GOT, Xfiles, Tudors and TWD when I was on maternity lol!

Surprisingly, we use Prime more for movies and kids stuff. The show Goliath was good. This is one of their shows. Most of my watching it Netflix, Hulu, Showtime and HBO GO! Netflix is life essential for us! |
