Oh yikes peachsmama I hope he is Ok (mouth and wrist!) sidenote: I love the idea of mums for the PTO fundraiser. Will have to file that away... I remember my high school did wreaths and other fresh Christmas greenery. We do greenery too. This was our first year with mums and the pto made a killing and we only sold for 1 week. We sold 950 mums! And they have these metal pots you can buy to put them in. I think this is a local company but maybe Google them? They were super easy to work with.

Yikes peachsmama I hope he wakes up fine tallb we got our ballots like 2 weeks ago. There is a lot of drama around the school board election and I’m having trouble finding good information about their positions, so once I sort that out, I’ll be dropping my ballot in the box that was put up nearby. I am feeling so sad and defeated. But I will still do my part. I wish I were in a swing state so I could really feel like it did something.

Has anyone tried the Old Navy joggers for their boys? I shop there extremely sporadically so am unsure how they normally run. These are the ones I was looking at. Size chart says he'd be a L which seems so big, but he is roughly 55" tall so maybe it's not so crazy. T is the tallest in his class. I bought medium/8 old navy and they fell down. Just bought 6/7 but he hasn’t tried them yet. Target 8 joggers also fell down.

I’m off work all week because school was closed Monday and we get 4 days for a death in the family. Preparing lessons for a virtual sub is so much work, I should have just gone in. We did not have a wake or funeral because of Covid (they are allowed but we didn’t want to make people feel like they needed to come or be the cause of an outbreak )but we had 25 of us in a room for 100 at a restaurant (my first indoor dining since February) and now we have been cleaning out grandma’s house.
Tomorrow we find out if we are going back to school in 2 weeks. I was pretty sure it was a go but we have had 10ish cases a day in my city again so I don’t know.

I will probably just end up ordering a bunch of different kinds/sizes and making him try them all on. Super delightful.

I think the L will be to big around the waist. I ordered some L within the last 6 months and his exact reaction was ‘Mom I’ll be in grade 5 when these fit!’

I am not in a swing state, but I am adopting wisconsin as a swing state through Vote Save America and going to do a training on calling people tomorrow night. I also am donating money to close senate races. And I texted my brother who moved to SC to remind him to register. I'm trying to turn my despair into action so I know I've done as much as I can.j had asked to see clips of the debate today and there were none I wanted to show him 😔.

flamingo I’ve found that ON and Cat & Jack run large in the waist. The length seems true to size. We have had our best luck with joggers at Walmart in terms of fit. Nike seems to run small in the waist but good on length.

It’s hard to say. If he isn’t on the slim side, I might say go for the large. I like to buy some of their bottoms for M because I feel like they fit his slim physique better. Those look on the slimmer side, so maybe a large will work.

tallb Definitely ready to vote On Nov 3. I need to make sure my brother is registered, too. I know he didn’t vote in 2016.

I wish we hadn't done mail in, but we have a drop box and we will take ours this weekend after we research our local stuff.

yummeecookee I'd imagine that varies by state. tallb I'm a bundle of nerves about this election. I've always voted by mail. MH and I sit down and research everything. ( jewels sometimes for the local positions if I can't find anything official I look up their FB page.) As soon as we get our ballot we're voting and dropping it directly in a ballot box.

We had mums to unload, organize and distribute today for our pto fundraiser. So we were at the ball fields from 1-7. At 6:30 M fell 7 feet from the top of a tube slide. Landed on his wrist. Bit through his lip in 2 places and has a 3rd cut on the inside. I thought he needed to go to urgent care. A thought I was overreacting. So we didn't. We'll see how he is in the morning. Poor guy! Mouths heal quickly, when my tooth went through my lip it was healed in a week.

Do you know if we signed up for mail in, are we now bound to that? Can we decide to go in person on the day of? I think for our state if you go vote in person you are issued a provisional ballot that won't be counted until the end bc they need to validate that you also didn't vote by mail. I am taking my ballot to a drop box bc I don't want to worry about USPS. They have set up a bunch already in my county. I think some states you can go and vote in person and trade in your mail in ballot, specifically NY.
