We moved in November and are finally getting around to painting DD's room. I wanted to have a little wall of quotes/mottos (printed and framed) by awesome females.
So far, I have in mind HRC's "To all the little girls..." and "Dream Big Fight Hard" by Elizabeth Warren. But of course those are 2 white ladies. Anyone have a favorite inspiring/encouraging/strong female quote or motto, especially by women who are BIPOC?

I love Maya Angelou -
We delight in the beauty of the butterfly, but rarely admit the changes it has gone through to achieve that beauty.
If you don’t like something, change it. If you can’t change it, change your attitude.
Without courage we cannot practice any other virtue with consistency. We can’t be kind, true, merciful, generous, or honest.
Try to be a rainbow in someone’s cloud.
Still I rise.

We are each other's magnitude and bond.
Gwendolyn Brooks, poet and contemporary of Langston Hughes. Love her.

Pretty much anything that Ayanna Presley says is art.
Kamala always says that Shyamala taught her, "You may be the first to do something great, but make sure you aren't the last"

Mia Hamm: “My coach said I ran like a girl, I said if he could run a little faster he could too.”
(Obviously not BIPOC though)
