YES, thank God it's Friday! Friday before a long holiday weekend, so hopefully it's quiet for work and I can get some stuff done.
It's nice and cool here this morning so I think I'm going to get my run in early.
Nothing too exciting planned here this weekend. Going to the lake tomorrow to hang out on my moms boat, Sunday we are going to a Wizard of Oz museum about an hour away, Monday relax.

Morning. I got in touch with the teacher, she didn’t see that it left a mark since ds usually wears a beany hat. They put consequences out for the boy that did it. I still think she should have contacted us but after the morning I had I couldn’t muster the energy to make a big deal out of it.
My coworker who is the worst communicator in the world made a huge error and of course it was up to me to fix it today. I really should have had her solve it, but I do not want our good reputation spoiled. I took me all morning and now I’m behind, four more weeks... for more weeks...
I also had a midwives appointment, blood pressure is still low, iron levels are good. And baby had a good strong heartbeat (145bpm). U/S on Monday.

Now this is a “day” I could get on board with! Too bad it’s not reality!

Also, good morning! Work all weekend. The tourists are flooding into our park already. I just want to go home and get back in bed!

Morning. Debating taking the kids to the park this morning. We haven't gone since all this COVID stuff started.
MH is taking the kids fishing after work so that'll give me some quiet. Thinking sushi needs to happen for dinner.

Morning. Yesterday was insane. Work and personal and didn’t get much downtime yesterday. I finished my last assignment for my class and finished the last of the schools iPads. This years hours for the school I’m making C take point on it.
L is going to the last day of summer camp and E is home with me while I work. I have some meetings and updates on a project but hopefully a quiet day.

Morning! Came back just in time for dinner last night and dropped B at DC this morning. S wasn't signed up for camp so he's with me today. We about to head out minigolfing and he's very excited.
MH leaves tomorrow for his first work trip since... well I can't remember. I am both excited to have the house to myself and oddly nervous to parent alone, considering I spent most of the first 6 years of being a parent doing it alone. It's an odd feeling. Of course most of his trip coincides with a long weekend. But I will have Tuesday and most of Wednesday in the house by myself with the kids at camp/DC. I have to pull S out early on Wednesday for his 1st grade orientation.

I'm at work, then I go straight from here to my mom's to pick up Cadence, to bring back for swim class and a zoom 1 on 1 with her teacher this evening. So of course since I'll be driving the sky has opened up and it's pouring down rain. Luckily, it's supposed to move out around the same time I'll be driving, so fx it actually does that.

WFH. I took Cass school shopping yesterday during lunch and I'll probably take Maddie today. Should be quiet at work since most people have the day off for the holiday.
I finished M's blanket. She loves it. Now to attempt a poncho for C.

I'm super tired this morning. I accidentally shut my alarm off when I shut off DH's this morning so I was up 30mins later than usual and had to rush to get C out of the house. Waking up early once school starts is going to be rough. Right now I am sleeping until 7:30 but school starts at 7:55 so I will have to be up earlier to get C up and make sure he gets ready in time. We still don't know if we are on the bus route yet and that could change our time also.
I was able to get C to be a priority in class student. This would mean that if we have to go to a 50% capacity model at school or full distance learning, he would still be able to go to school in person. The kids able to do this are those on learning plans, IEP's, 504's, and the kids that did summer school. C is none of these but he was one step away from a learning plan for ELA and he definitely slid back distance learning so I am happy to have him targeted for extra help right away.

Morning. Dropped N off and school, put L down for a nap and then H wanted to play outside which turned into racing him around the house and down the street a million times. Then we came in and played hide and seek. He’s exhausting without N around! Now I talked him into watching a show while I finish my second cup of coffee.
It’s picture day for N an she came out this morning with dark purple lip gloss and a tiara. I was able to talk her out of them but didn’t check her backpack... let’s hope she didn’t sneak them in! Lol.
tonight is Friday night pizza and a movie, which we all look forward to. Then I’m spending the weekend setting up for a rummage sale I’m having next weekend. (And already wondering what I got myself into.)

Poor J. He turns 5 today and his arm is double as swollen as it was last night. I've been giving him ibuprofen and benadryl and its getting worse. So we go back to the doctor at 4.

Varicella. Which he's had before with no issues. But he reacted to his flu shot last year and hadn't previously. Idk. If it wasn't going to be a long weekend, I may wait it out. But not chancing it on a long weekend.

Morning! Both big girls are home from school today, it’s a 4 day weekend for us. DH is still working, of course. We ran and got me coffee (I’m trying the cabin bar slenle, not bad) but otherwise nothing special planned for the day. My state is a covid hotspot again, thanks to the Sturgis rally and fairs, so that’s fun. peachsmama happy birthday to J! I hope you can get him seen today.

Hi!
TGIF. DH has to work tonight so he was home today. After we got the kids off to school we ran a couple errands and had a nice lunch at a place on the river, then picked up C.
So today I forgot B’s snack; what makes it worse is that yesterday I forgot his water bottle (luckily they had paper cups he could use). 🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️ I even made a checklist to keep by the door to the garage, but forgot to put ‘snack’ on it! So I ran it up to the school and they got it to him. #MOTY.
I think C and I may go out looking for fall wreaths this afternoon. I checked Michael’s but want to hit Kirklands and maybe Home Goods.

Last night we had meet the teacher. Luckily, we already know her since her kindergarten teacher moved up to 1st grade and kept the class together. So it was basically a 30 minute session for her to share her screen with us and walk through how to use all of the technology we'll have to access. Y'all know how dumb I am when it comes to technology but I feel pretty confident...for the time being. I'll let you know next week when I have to upload her assignments to the HUB. At least I have until midnight each night to submit them. Lol.
Then we had a meet the teacher for piano. He spent the entire time trying to figure out how to add people to the teams meeting and then trying to turn his video back on because he somehow managed to turn it off. I have no idea how I'm supposed to access those classes. I'm sure it will all get straightened out but for her elective stuff (art, PE, computer, library and music) they're supposed to be live sessions and I don't know how to get to them.

tgrimes, I had the same problem and I'm hoping the teacher can clear it up this evening. They said it would be easier this year than it was in spring, but I can't even find where the initial starting point is for all the online stuff. "All the link will be in The Nest". I have nothing labeled "the nest" on this ipad and it supposedly takes you to the school portal, so I skip it and just go to the school portal. Log in, done. "Now click on first grade"....uh...there is nothing that says first grade, or any grade for that matter! Mh says maybe it will pop up when school actually starts. why the eff would they do that? That doesn't make sense. So I'll ask her tonight and see if I'm dumb and it will pop up when school actually starts, or if I'm dumb and just didn't see the link.
