My appointment didn't go great. I'm so frustrated. This doctor is not up to date on ACOG guidelines. I'm not seeing her again but damn, I hope someone else is better. I'm so sorry. That is really frustrating that after all the work you had to do to get a doctor and they end up sucking. Is it a practice where you rotate doctors? That's how my practice I went to with my girls was and the super old PA who did intake appointments always had outdated information and I always just ignored her. Hopefully you see someone more competent next time. Yes, they rotate providers. So I am seeing different ones for the next few times.

What am I going to forget in my hospital bag? Phone charger, preferably at least 6’ long cord. Slippers/shoes that will fit massively swollen PP feet when leaving the hospital. Hairbrush and whatever you’ll need to tame crazy post-birthing hair. I was really grateful for all our snacks since we were there 5 days. Ended up that DH could leave and get stuff but it was nice having it in hand. Especially the iced coffee.

I wish we had brought snacks, then I was surprised once we got to my pp room with a snack basket one of the nurses puts together. It was my life saver. I always bring my boppy, but we love boppy in our house. Your own pillow or blanket? I hate hospital pillows.

My flip flops are packed.

Toddler stayed up until 11pm last night and then skipped nap. I have already looked up how late DQ is open so I can get a blizzard after “bedtime”

I’m not ready to give up naptime so I'm hoping it was a fluke. 🤞🏻🤞🏻 I managed to keep my oldest napping fairly consistently until he was almost 4, so stick with it and you may have another year or so of naps in him. Very much worth it to get double naps from the kids. They still do naps in preschool at daycare so I’m hoping we can get another year. We try to keep on the same schedule during weekends but this one was a cluster.

My DD is 4.5 and would still nap 1-2 times a week if we’d let her, but if homegirl closes those eyes for even 5 minutes she won’t go to sleep at night!

DD1 dropped naps at 1. She is crazy on the low end of needing sleep. In the baby room at 8 months they would just let her play in the morning while all the babies napped.😂
DD2 is almost 4 and just dropped naps this summer at home, but still sleeps about an hour at daycare.
I don't want to jinx anything, but this first week DD3 is such a better sleeper than the last two. I've had to wake her up to feed her the last two nights at 4 hours. Never had to wake my babies to eat before. I'm hoping I got the magical sleep loving unicorn baby this time. 🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞

Made it to 36 weeks! 🙌🏻🎉 Still waiting on labs from Thursday. My OB said we’ll be delivering at 37 weeks no matter what, due to oligohydramnios and symptoms/history x3 of ICP, but if I get an ICP diagnosis, that may push things a few days earlier. So soon, yay! I hope the labs come back great.

Update: homeboy was rubbing his eyes hard at 6:30 last night so I did bedtime early. He got into bed on his own at 7:20 and was out by 7:30. AND we had to go into his room at 7am to get him because he was playing in his bed. Hopefully it was all a fluke.
And I got my Blizzard.
And they are officially listing our old house today!

rooskie good luck selling! We've sold twice now and I hate it. May the house selling gods be ever in your favor, lol. How far along are you now? You're farther along that shesellscshells, yes? I'm curious about who will be next to have a baby!

I'm curious about who will be next to have a baby! This is our first selling experience so hopefully it goes fast. Luckily we are moved out and did a bunch of remodels so all we have to do is sign paperwork going forward. I'm 37 weeks today. Last week I was 1.5cm dialated and 50% effaced, so something is going on, but I had to be induced and went over with B. We're 15 days away from induction. I should probably finish packing my bags.

So soon, yay! I hope the labs come back great. Given my escalation of symptoms, I’m really hoping for the labs to come back diagnostic. That way we’ll be able to get her out safely, a few days earlier than 37 weeks. I’d much rather have a late preterm baby than risk stillbirth with our rainbow baby. That does sound anxiety provoking. Hoping you get those labs back quickly to make the best decision.

After posting in a local moms group did not up my confidence in the OBs at all, I made another appointment with my MFM for monday so I am really really hoping he listens to me and overrides the OB and schedules my c section for 37 weeks. I'm getting extremely nervous especially after one mom posted that they made her go to 39 weeks even when she was SEEING STARS. Fuck that. I will lawyer up before that happens to me but hopefully it won't.

H's boss asked how far dilated I am this morning so that's how my day is going.
His boss is my age and has 3 kids so he was just trying to figure out if we would be sooner/later. He did apologize after. I hate sharing that info because I think its a little personal.

H asked if we were getting more today...yes, yes we are. I think we spent like $400, but some of it was light bulbs for the new house. In other news, the LED lights in our garage are bright enough to land a plane and we do live close to the airport.

I would not like that either He said he was honestly just trying to figure out if we thought we would have the baby early. But yeah I don't tell anyone but H what the doctor says because I hate when people go around saying "oh your cousin Karen is 4cm dilated and can go any time!"...too personal and extra pressure, especially since I went over with B.

So don't Google health things in the middle of the night when nursing...
H sleeps a lot with her mouth open and I hadn't thought much about if but then decided to Google. Apparently not normal, could be a sign of some obstruction in her upper airway according to Dr.Google. Or could be congestion. I got a nose frieda to start there and will bring it up Monday at her 2 week well check up. She does sneeze a lot.
H and his Mom both had deviated septums that were corrected so it wouldn't be out of the question. Thankful for the owelet sock after that middle of the night reading though. ☺️

I've never thought about the sleeping the mouth open thing before. I'm sure it's probably ok.
My babe has like not been awake all day today. I need him to have some awake time soon.
