cagoldi I agree with the others, no need to add to his stress/mental load by being in an environment where he's uncomfortable. I'd rather put the money towards sports/lessons/something else where he'd have true 'socialization' opportunities, assuming that was one of your objectives. Glad everything went well kim22 , fingers crossed for you on the school front. Enjoy the beach! I'm sorry lahdeedah, I'm sure you've been surviving on adrenaline. Hopefully you can rest up this weekend.

I haven’t yet, but the girls on MFM rave about it. ::whispers:: What is mfm? I googled and found things about 2 guys & 1 girl and I don't quite think that's what you're referencing... Lol, my favorite murder podcast

Hopefully you can rest up this weekend. The problem is, every extracurricular is still cancelled, playgrounds and museums are still closed , etc. So options are very limited, but we will get creative. I hope the horsemanship lessons help in the meantime. I think they are one of the few places still able to operate since they are technically a mental health specialty program.

cagoldi, that would be tough. I'm glad at least playgrounds are open here now. Most other kid stuff is closed, but that's something. I hope the equine therapy is helpful. I think it will be. When I'm finally out of the military I'll probably volunteer at an equine therapy program around here. Animal therapy was an interest of mine so I did a lot of research on it years ago. The outcomes are generally positive. kim22 glad you're moving in the right direction with getting answers for your daughter.

That’s crazy to me that you can have a pod of kids ‘learning’ or a group at daycare, but can’t have extracurricular activities. Down here most things have reopened, but I was talking to a friend back in VA yesterday who said a lot of the fall sports are cancelled up there (and school is all virtual). She’s decided to homeschool for more flexibility but was able to find a couple things being held outdoors to get her 6 y.o. in.

cagoldi, I'm way late but I agree with all the other ladies. We don't know what the right choices are but we have to follow our gut. If he's unhappy it's for the best. Does he have a friend you can set a weekly date with so he gets that socialization elsewhere? We just arranged that with one of S friends who is staying home and they are concerned about the socialization. Also, sorry about the meltdown for X. That sounds very hard. I'm glad he doesn't experience them a lot.

C had a late afternoon dentist appt and had a perfect check-up...go figure, of the 2 kids she drinks a lot more juice, etc and yet she’s the one with no issues. She was at her most charming and cooperative, thankfully.
Now that I’ve got the kids squared away I really need to find a new dentist for myself. Mine here retired and I wasn’t a huge fan of his replacement.

I packed M’s food for the first 3 years of his life and always sent less sugary foods and yet he has all the dental issues. 🤷🏽♀️

cagoldi I’m sorry the boys are having a rough go. I agree with pulling A from that situation. It clearly is the opposite of what environment you want for his learning.

Way late to the conversation, but I agree that pulling A sounds right. I’m sorry he had such a hard time. It sounds very sad environment.
