My alarm went off at 5:30 and I just couldn't pull myself out of bed to get up and run. So I'm doing the elliptical today. 15 minutes, 4 times, because it makes my feet hurt so bad.
I'm really having issues with someone on our customer service team, her emails annoy me so much, a few weeks ago, I set up a rule that anything from her, went directly to her folder, instead of my inbox, so I can deal with her as I want to/have time. I got an email from her yesterday afternoon, after I had logged off, that I'm choosing to just not respond to. I don't have the energy for her.
We are going to my dads tomorrow to swim. other than that, no plans this weekend.

Maddie got into knitting again and it's been fun teaching her.

Hiiiii! Our power and internet just went down, hoping it was taken out for a specific (and quick) reason vs. pretty much anything else. I already missed 2 days of work last week and I haven't caught up yet. Waiting to see how long before DH gets the generator going. Anyhow Chase is starting a pre-K program at a new center in a week. I'm really sad that we couldn't go back to our old place, it was like a second home for 6+ years. I cried writing to the director. But he's so excited about the new place and it came recommended by his best friend's parents, who also couldn't make it work at the old place. Of course now Col will be home alone (well, DH and I will be here of course) for a full week since schools are opening a bit late. Col's school will start up under a hybrid model and see how it goes. We'll drive him back and forth to avoid the bus, but I can't stop second guessing the whole thing. Hii inthekitty! Yes I have been running like a fiend! Unfortunately I went about 4 months without going to my MSS guy so my ankle is super stiff. I feel old!! He's got me trying some new exercises so we'll see... My running group is putting on a pretty informal (and small) marathon in early November and I'd love to run it. But I won't be running more than 15-16 miles at a time until my ankle is feeling stronger. And the generator is on, that was quick. Here's hoping the internet comes back...

Morning!
B had his 4 y/o pedi appt today and all was fine. He wants me to really push the potty training hard and thinks he's constipated which is why he's not doing it. He wants me to clean him out on a miralax regimen. I don't know that I agree but I guess I'll try it.
Also, for everyone stressing about school, he strongly suggested that the boys should be in school. He thinks the risks are low and the benefits are high right now. Made me feel a little better about my choice for the boys.

Good morning. We started the day with chocolate chip pancakes and bacon as per the birthday boy’s request. Tonight my parents and 1 of my sisters and her family are coming for pizza. My other sister canceled because she went to an amusement park earlier this week and said they were not enforcing their own mask/social distancing rules and so they don’t want to risk seeing other people.
I cleaned and now I have to run out for an ice cream cake and some snacks.

I took H to the ENT. Good news is that the tube is not behind his ear drum. It just appears that way because of a build up of dead cells on one side of the tube.
Gross.
He still sees some congestion in his nose and since we've been dealing with it for a month now, he suggested afrin for the next 3 days. Hopefully it works.

kim22 Happy Birthday to him and congrats on having a teen/keeping him alive for 13 years! tgrimes glad it didn't fall behind, but damn, what a pain. I hope the Afrin provides some relief. H said the dealership we bought his truck from finally called and asked about the money we were supposed to put down...3 weeks later.

Hello!
Busy morning here. I had our guy out first thing to get an estimate for replacing a couple windows that are starting to go foggy.
Then we had haircuts for the kids, stopped at Ben Moore to look at stains for the front door, and raced back to meet the plantation shutter installer. Progress. Is. Happening!
Tonight we’re supposed to be meeting sister/BIL at their neighborhood pool for food trucks and swimming.

mwhip how is E doing with her knee? Are y’all feeling like the steroids helped at all? kim22 happy birthday to your oldest! jewels our pedi and (separate) nurse practitioner said the same about school. I wasn’t really on the fence—if schools are open, my kids are going—but I do think it’s good/important people hear from their own practitioners.

Update from tackyville. Remember my second cousin who sent the baby gift request to my mom? My mom reminded me that a couple years ago when she got married she sent out a wedding announcement with some nerdy little rhyme that basically said "we've been shacking up for years so we don't need stuff, instead give us cash so we can go on an amazing honeymoon!" So klassy. My mom jokes that she might send her a congrats card for the baby with coupons for diapers.

Happy Friday! The kids are playing in their fort again so I’ll let them watch a movie for quiet time and actually try and be productive today.
We watched my sisters mini bernadoodle the past couple days and I took the fluff ball home this morning. She’s cute, but quite dumb. But our dog liked having a friend to play with.
It’s supposed to thunderstorm tonight and I’m looking forward to hunkering down in the basement and ordering pizza and watching movies. I saw Dennis the menace is on Netflix and I think the kids will love it.... I just hope it doesn’t give H any ideas 😂

Charlie is a very occasional pooper, and we were given the same advice re: MiraLAX, (well similar advice, MiraLAX every day) but he is never constipated so I said I would consider it. And oddly enough, we were given the opposite advice. Our ped said if you could wait, you should, but I think he only said that because the schools in our area are allowing kids to fold in from remote learning after a few days. They are not asking anybody to choose by first trimester or full year.

I don't think I would be considering the miralax thing if he wasn't still in diapers. I just feel like I have to do something.

We got the green light for school from both our regular pediatrician and DD’s neurologist. My friend who is 34 weeks pregnant even got the green light to return for the first 5 weeks and she teaches at a charter school in Florida. Our schools are saying they are getting a lot more no’s than they anticipated so I’m excited, less kids in each class.
NJ is now allowing schools to go all remote if they have a reason they can’t be ready but they must show what they are doing to try to get ready. Our only issue is the hvac sucks which I get is a big issue but we are 20 buildings, that isn’t going to be fixed in 2 months or even 2 years.

Ooh I think my kids would love Dennis the Menace slenle, good reminder! Maybe we’ll do that this wknd for movie night. One of the kids that’s over here all the time kind of reminds me of Dennis—even looks like him! We privately call him ‘the good idea fairy’ bc he’s always coming up with stuff that is...questionable...to do. Thankfully B’s cooler head typically prevails.

Hi! Happy Birthday to your new teen! kim22 jewels Ts &Ps. That does not sound fun, but I get the frustration of wanting to just do something different to try to get the optimal result. I need to start to crack down with M2 and see if he responds well. joelies I hope your power is on by now.

Hello. I had work earlier, but it wasn’t a bad day. I actually got time to take care of some personal stuff that I needed to get done.
But, when I got up for work this morning Mh said he had been up throughout the night with an upset stomach. Cue the ‘is this COVID’ emotions. I’m hoping it’s just something he ate, but only time will tell. He’s been on the couch all day. The one good thing is that he had to get a COVID test yesterday at work because students start classes Monday and he is supposed to start training one sport the following week. His results should be in by midweek, so we will know for sure in a matter of days.
Everyone else here is fine so far, and I hope we keep it that way. 🤞🏽
