lahdeedah, one of our friends just had a 24 hour stomach bug. She called the dr b/c she was nervous and they said there is something going around, not to worry unless other symptoms cropped up. She woke up Thursday sick, felt crappy all day, and woke up today feeling fine. Hoping it's the same for your H

Ooh I think my kids would love Dennis the Menace slenle, good reminder! Maybe we’ll do that this wknd for movie night. One of the kids that’s over here all the time kind of reminds me of Dennis—even looks like him! We privately call him ‘the good idea fairy’ bc he’s always coming up with stuff that is...questionable...to do. Thankfully B’s cooler head typically prevails. M is that kid. |

Hey. We went school supply shopping at target this morning...they were out of a lot of things. Then my aunt and cousin stopped by on their way to move her in to college. After that we spent the rest of the afternoon at our friends house. I’m going to run to staples in a little bit to get the rest of the supplies we need, hopefully. I just want it to be done with. H had another tooth fall out, the 2nd one on the bottom. One of her upper front teeth is super wiggly so that should be out any day now.

We had our first ever family movie night. We have never done one before because C couldn’t sit long enough and would annoy us. He asked for one earlier this week so I got good buttery popcorn and movie candy and set up blankets in our finished basement we never use. It was fun. At one point all three of us and one cat were snuggled up. If only the other joined it would have been a moment!
I’m trying really hard to be present with C since I know his transition back to school will likely be hard with all the safety protocols. I’m hoping by putting in the time now he won’t become explosive like he did transitioning to camp or at least less so.
I also had my hair cut for the first time since January. I feel so light and so much less fuzzy. I was getting serious breakage and was worried my hair was thinning. My stylist assured me it isn’t and I just needed the ends cut. I took a few inches off so hopefully it will look less unkempt.

I gave DH a dollar and tasked him with tooth fairy duty. H and I ran to staples and were able to find everything else we needed. Glad to have that checked off my list. Now to buy school clothes, which is a whole nother issue.

We all (except A) slept from 6-8pm. So we took a late golf cart ride and now watching a movie. A went to bed. Hopefully I get the kids down soon. I'm tired.

Haven’t had a chance to post today before this but I need to vent. Today was L’s first day of summer camp. They extended it when they changed the first day of school and dropped the price. I made it very clear to L that even if the other kids weren’t wearing a mask that he had to wear his. When I picked him up none of the kids including L and 1 of the teachers weren’t wearing a mask. When I was talking with L about it the teacher over heard me and said he wore it for most of the day.
The principal is calling me tomorrow around 900 to discuss my concerns.

lahdeedah how's your h feeling? I still think I had it if you have any questions about random symptoms. It’s 3am and we just got off the phone with his sister- physician. He isn’t great, but it’s just weird. He last got sick around 11pm. He’s been trying to eat, but he says it’s like he needs to have a bowel movement but can’t. He took some miralax earlier in the day. I told him he is the most regular person I know, so I am not convinced he is constipated. His right lower quadrant is hurting and tender to touch. He called his sister because he was worried about appendicitis, but after talking it through, he is going to try to rest until the morning when he can talk to his doc and possibly be seen. No other symptoms beside the vomiting and pain in his right side. |

Doesn't sound like COVID, bc diarrhea is more prevalent. Hope he feels better soon. |

Because it’s RLQ pain, his doc said go to ER in case appendicitis. I just dropped him off and will wait to hear from him. His sister said they will most likely get labs and CT done ASAP to rule it out. Is it horrible that I am most worried about the medical bills that we will get after all this?
