I was up and at ‘em early because I told my sister I’d babysit. So she dropped my nephew off here and headed to her anatomy scan...and it’s a girl!
Meanwhile I plied the little guy with pancakes and he is currently rotting his brain watching Sunny Bunnies.
I think I’ve finally settled on a paint for B’s room so hopefully I can get that done this week. And I should probably figure out some groceries at some point.

Morning! Don’t think I’ve posted in a while... we were away for a long weekend with my family. It was our Christmas gift to my parents for Christmas last year, and they loved it but it’s always an interesting/stressful time when we’re all together. My sister and one brother have very different personalities. They get along but it just always seems tense and I always feel like the middle man.
Anyway, I’m glad to be home. I just have an eye appt today and need to get groceries. I Also sold the train table from the basement and I have to try and get it out of the house without the kids noticing. They never play with it but if they see it go they will be mad, but i bet it’ll take weeks for them to notice the empty corner of the room.

Morning ladies! Today is H's first day at his new job. He was pretty nervous, which we discussed is totally normal and starting new jobs always sucks. You always second guess the decision to make a change when you're learning everything.
Just working. Of course, this is the first time since Friday Evie has spent in her playroom and she's telling me everything she does. If I'm not in here, I can't get her to spend time in here, but when I'm here, she won't leave.
We are going to take our change to a local bank one of our neighbors works at. She posted on FB that they had a coin shortage and couldn't fulfill their local business needs. We easily have hundreds of dollars in change in this house, so I'm going to cash it in.
I got up early and ran this morning. My foot was bothering me all weekend and I noticed when I got in the shower a bit ago, that there is a bump on the top of it, so I did something. I put ice on it before my shower and that helped, so I'll try to do that regularly throughout the day.

I'm at the office. We started watching Upside Down Magic on the disney channel last night and M was very excited to finish it this morning before camp. guster I bet J would like it. When i get home tonight I'm making a butternut chickpea stew for our lunches this week and then taking M to a drive by birthday party. They got a unicorn snow cone truck to come. M will be thrilled.

Morning. Still hot and humid over here. We took the kids to the dune lake early this morning, just to get some outdoor fun before the real heat and the crowds. It is amazing how messy your house gets, eventhough most time is spend outdoors at the moment... Dh is making pancakes (crepes) for dinner for the kids tonight and we’re having a Caesar with some Turkish feta bread.

I don't think it's a sprain, I didn't roll my ankle, it's in a weird place, kind of between the ball of my ankle and the top of my foot, if there was a straight path, right in the middle. It's weird and I have no idea what I did.

Morning. We had a crazy thunderstorm last night when I was up nursing at one point. It’s still raining and I think it might last all day. Nothing planned for the day except laundry.

mwhip haven’t you heard the coin shortage was faked to force people to use credit cards so the government can track you (so claim the Facebook crazies). There are several business here that have signed saying exact change or card only. Doesn’t matter to me, I have only ever used card. Hope your foot heals quickly and YH has a good first day!

Masks are also a political ploy. You don't need to wear masks, everyone!!! Old man at Half Price books said so. I can't stop laughing at "old man at half price books said so." It was legit an old man. His wife said she had been in the healthcare business/hospitals for 73 years. She didn't look 100, but who knows. Anyway, she said fox news will tell you that the masks are useless. Old man also quoted some website, but I didn't see anyone write it down. The poor sales girl looked very over it all and just said, "look, I'm not here to debate you, if you want to come in, you have to wear the mask." So they put their masks on, walked around for about 5 minutes, then as they were leaving began spouting off the same newsworthy info.
I've never met a mask naysayer in person, so it was quite interesting. So much ignorance in 2 bodies. Fascinating.

Oh yes, I've heard that one. I never use or carry actual cash, I use my debit card for everything. E collects coins that the grandparents give her. H never uses change, just empties it into a big jug at the end of every day. We used to turn it in every summer and take the cash when we went on vacation, which was usually around $300. We haven't taken it in for years, probably 4 or 5 years. So I figured it would help the bank out. I almost laughed though when the teller told me she had to count it by hand and roll it, so they would call me this afternoon when she got through it. It was...a Lot. I feel kind of bad. Our bank has a machine you dump everything into and it somehow sorts it, figures the total and spits a receipt out that you take to the teller.

Kidpik says they never received my return and they charged me the full amount for keeping the entire box. I returned the entire package over a week ago because I had forgotten to change Cadence's size on her profile, so it was all too small. I've emailed them to see how I can get the situation rectified. I'm not paying for a box of clothes that didn't fit my kid and that I returned. The only response I've gotten thus far is an automated email saying they received my email and then another one saying they have received quite a few inquiries, but they will try and get to mine in a timely manner.

You handled it much better than I would have. I'm pretty sure my eye balls would have rolled out of my head listening to his nonsense.

Morning! I’m at work. Lots of meetings today. I could have worked from home since over 3/4 of my day is virtual meetings.
We are trying a new schedule today for the kids in the hopes to cut back on TV. C is not happy we started on his day.
Congrats on your little niece flamingo

My parents are supposed to be heading to norway on Thursday to see my sister after six months. They’re probably changing the travel status for the Netherlands to red in the coming days, which would mean my parents aren’t allowed to enter Norway. My mom is a wreck...

Hi! Congrats on your niece! flamingo Oh man to having to roll hundreds of dollars in coins. mwhip I’m sorry. nam2013 I just read an article by someone that said she calls her 2020 calendar an Etch a sketch because as soon as she puts plans on it, it changes. I think this is the most accurate comparison yet. I hope Norway delays the change so your parents can see your sister.

Hi!
I had to be up at the ass crack of dawn this morning for a temp screening shift. It was a boring day otherwise. I hit the grocery store on the way home and I’m enjoying some peace. MH took M to work with him so I have the house to myself for a change.

I have 2 extra kids today. But I'm feeling good. I started that mlm scheme coffee this morning. Supposed to aid in weight loss, boost energy and help you focus. Idk if its the placebo effect of what but I've been go go go all day. I've gotten so much done 😂

It’s a state holiday in RI today (victory day). Although I work for the feds our Judge grants is the day off every year. Camp is closed too so C and I are home. We went to michaels and did a bunch of crafts he wants to play catch now and it’s so humid out but I’ll try. I am also going phone free with him today so that’s why I haven’t been on. I’m taking a quick potty break to check in. 😉

I don't think we have any state-specific holidays. Lame!
I did see where today is National Lazy Day...this is a holiday I can support.
